Graham scurried beside the doctor, chanting an incantation he made up to keep whatever it was that doors exposed at bay. He nodded to the doctor, ready to rush through the doorway and into the hallway, hoping to not see any open doors on the way to her office.

---

The doctor scratched his forehead as he looked over the files of his two assigned patients. They both were making slow progress and sometimes this stressed him. "Where's Tad now?" He asked a nurse who is constantly at his heels.

"In the cafeteria." She replied and Malcolm nodded, turning and walking to the facility. His memory was brilliant, and from the sounds he avoided every obstacle in the way. He came through the cafeteria doors, the nurse guiding him to where Tad was seated.

"Hello Tad. Doing well today?" Malcolm asked with a smile on his face.

Thaddeus accidentally broke the fork and a piece of plastic flipped through the air and landed on another table. He frowned. He had not even noticed his doctor! He was stuck in his own little world.
"I'm doing wonderful." He said with obvious sarcasm. "Pffft! I'm hungry, and today is SOUP day! SOUP day! I can't eat on soup day." He annoyingly tapped his fingers on the table. "I swear, those lunch ladies are planning something. They always are."

Lacie quickly opened the door, and just as quickly closed it behind Graham. "Alright, that wasn't so hard." She grinned. To her, this was sort of like a game; Get down the hall, and avoid all open doors. She giggled to herself, then started walking at a slow pace.

"Do you think I'd come unprepared, Tad?" Malcolm said, placing a bag from the local burger joint on the table in front of the boy. He had stopped there on his way in. He had asked the Lunch ladies for the monthly menu, and planned to bring him outside food each time there was something that involved spoons.

---

"Your happiness good on my heart..." He whispered to her. Her cheerfulness always seemed to brighten him up just a bit. His eyes darted around the hallway, noticing all the doors and luckily they were all shut so far.

Thaddeus grabbed the bag and dumped all of the contents out onto the table. He opened the burger and smelled it, looking for any signs of poison. He lifted the top bun and looked at the insides of the burger, then did the same to the bottom. He smiled. "You didn't poison it, did you?" He smelled it again. "No, no. You wouldn't poison it. You're not the kind of person who poisons food. You'd most likely use a needle filled with some sort of narcotic."

Lacie blinked a few times, feeling another grin creep up on her. "Thank you, Graham." She continued to walk, seeing her office about four doors down from where they were. So far, so good. She thought. Suddenly, she stopped! She put her arm out so Graham could go no further. A cleaning lady was in one of the rooms, cleaning up projectile vomit from one of the patients. And... the door was open.

"I prefer the stick and run" He chuckled, slowly sitting at the table, placing the files there on the table. "I've noticed your progress thus far has been sorta slow. Now, I'm not complaining, it's perfectly fine. Everyone has their own pace at things. You keep having those thoughts more often?"

---

Graham stopped and turned around. "Door is open, doctor yes?" He took a deep breath, trying to suppress his fear as to not panic anyone else in the asylum. His screams were a different story though. He shuddered, trying to control his body and keep it from shaking but it was nearly impossible.

Thaddeus took a big bite of the burger, and shoved some fries in as well. It took him a minute or so to chew it up and swallow; plenty of time to think of how to respond. "Which thoughts, doctor? The ones about spoons and eyes, or the ones you keep telling me are 'paranoid', when they're not." He glared at Dr. Malcolm. Sometimes Tad was glad his doctor was blind, because he could glare all he wanted and wouldn't have to worry about him glaring back.

Lacie left Graham and walked over to the door. She whispered something to the cleaning lady, and then closed the door. Cautiously, she walked over to Graham. "There, the door is closed." This time, she put her hand on his shoulder. "We're almost there."

"Both thoughts actually. And don't sass me, you know they're paranoid thoughts. No one here is out to get you. Enjoying your food?" Malcolm adjusted in his chair. "We can start our session here or go to my office. Your choice." he fiddled with the files for a moment.

---

Comforted to know his fear was now warded off, he sighed with relief and turned back around to walk with the doctor. Her hand touched his shoulder and he did not flinch. If nothing else, human contact was something that made Graham feel somewhat safe, like they're holding him here and protecting him against Marcus.

He frowned. "Stop changing the subject! They are not paranoid thoughts..." He paused, taking time to bite into the burger. "And yes, I am enjoying my food..." He crossed his legs and looked around the cafeteria; it was nearly empty now. "We can start our session here; There are listening devices in your office."

Lacie stuck her key into her door and unlocked it. "Here we are~" She opened the door and nudge Graham in, then closed it. Her office was painted a light beige color; there was an oak desk in the middle of the room, with a chair behind it. In front of the desk were two comfy looking chairs; on one of the walls was a small sofa. "Have a seat~" She said as she sat down at her desk. She pulled a file out of her filing cabinet, and set it down on her desk.

"If they aren't paranoid, then how would you describe them?" He shook his head and leaned onto the table, placing his elbows for support on the top. The interlocked his fingers and leaned forward to Tad, his sightless eyes pinned on the background behind the boy.

---

Graham awkwardly sat down in one of the chairs in front of the desk. It was always weird to come here, but this is where he felt the most liable to open up to her. Her, and only her. She had been with him for a while now, and he wondered why he hadn't driven her away with his constant fits and fights with Marcus.

"He's seeking my once again now..." Graham spouted out.

"It's simply caution and truth." He said with a frown. "Why do you keep saying it's paranoia. It's not!" His voice started raising. "Why do you always talk about my thoughts like I'm paranoid? Why can't you just move onto something else? Huh?" He put his burger down and crossed his arms.

Lacie opened the file and wrote something down with her favorite pen. "What does he want?" She asked in a suddenly serious tone. "Remember, if you don't want to talk about it, we don't have to. I just want you to be comfortable."

"I've got a PH.D. It means I have to use words like that. Now calm down." He frowned and blinked. "Are you willing to tell me now why you fear eyes so much?" He needed this information if he was ever going to help Tad get better.

---

"Me.. wants me, he does. Kill he says, Kill. 'Bodies will be beautiful' he says."
Graham began to fidget as he spoke. His eyes began to water with remembering Marcus. Just thinking about him made his body quake with fear and his soul scream.

"No. Why would I tell you that? Then you'd use it against me." He continued to eat his burger. Honestly, he really liked fast food, but he rarely could ever eat it. Asylum food was tasteless to Tad.
Thaddeus's eyes scanned his doctor, but stopped on his eyes. He suddenly jerked backwards. Malcolm's eyes were like the abyss. Never ending... He was blind, but his eyes still saw through him.
Tad straightened his back and tried to pretend nothing was wrong. He kept his eyes on the table, trying to avoid looking at his doctor.

Lacie wrote a few notes down and nodded, showing she was listening. "He can't make you do anything." She looked sympathetically at her patient. "You have to fight him. Don't let him take control.
But please, elaborate more if you can. What do you think he means by bodies being beautiful?"

"Against you how? I'm not a lawyer, I'm not a judge... I'm just a doctor. I'm here to help you, not harm you. I don't even have my notepad. Just a couple of files." He pat the folder, indicating that's what they just were. "Do you wanna talk about anything else then?"

---

"Artwork, he says. Death is art. Expand on it. Kill and pose Kill and pose. Eat the young and stay alive. Kill and pose. Kill again, you must." Graham looked as if he was suddenly in some kind of daze. His eyes glossed over and his face was relaxed.

Thaddeus shivered, glancing at his doctor's eyes again. Tad had an urge to dive across the table and rip out the eyes so he wouldn't ever have to see them again, but it would be no use. His doctor was blind, for Pete's sake.
There had to be something he could do.
"I haven't been sleeping." He said with a frown. "I don't want to either. But, it's been a few days already, and I'm starting to feel drained of life. But, I don't want to sleep! Someone might kill me while I sleep..."

Lacie dropped her pen, suddenly feeling chills go down her spine. She quickly picked up her pen and started writing more notes. Instead of saying anything, she just listened, taking note of everything Graham said and how he said it. This was new; he'd never done this before. "Please continue..."

"even if your room is locked and I keep the only key? What do you need to help you sleep? You have to, it's unhealthy not to." Malcolm went on and sat back in his chair. He went silent for a moment. "You don't have to be afraid." He said aloud.

---

"Kill them all. Pose them. Make them friendly." His eyes suddenly closed. His body sat there for a moment, motionless. His mind was being taken over. His eyes snapped open and he jumped up from his seat, rushing over the desk and he stopped on the desk. He wasn't himself, Marcus was there. He leaned in close to the doctor, an evil smirk on his face. "Kill the doctor and make me a pretty little statue."
