Ace Levett, a strong, sandy-haired Australian, hummed a familiar tune inside of the metro, waiting by the door for his stop. He was just finishing up from his break, and had no idea of the strange blue ooze that seemed to be causing such a commotion on the other side of the doors.

((Kay.))
The pair finally reached the Station just in tome to hear Ledger's shout. Andromeda started to stop, but a yank on her arm from Dane encouraged her to keep moving. He only let them stop when they were a foot from the edge of the platform, and he still didn't let go of her wrist. Andromeda scowled at him, but, again, there were more important things than that to worry about.

The doors to the train--well, it was more of a tram--opened, and everyone was ushered in. Ledger paused to glance back at the elevator, murmuring, "John... Troy... I'm sorry, you guys." Then, Ledger stepped into the train and--once making sure all four were inside--activating it. The train was a single compartment with waist-high windows on all sides. It moved slowly at first, but soon accelerated into high speed as it raced down the tunnel on railroad tracks. Although it moved quickly, and in a straight line, it would take nearly half an hour for the trip to be complete.
Ledger turned to the other three, replacing his Glock in his shoulder holster. "So... my name's Creg. Creg Ledger. Anybody hurt?" he asked.
((By the way, as said on the front page, you guys are allowed to make up your own parts of the structure/complex. You don't need to wait for me to tell you where you are or what's around you. The monsters might be confusing, but they'll be described in more detail soon.))

Now that they were safe, for the moment, Andromeda snatched her hand out of Dane's grasp and edged away. "Nothing serious," she said breathlessly. "Just a little winded. I'm Andromeda Honor."
Dane gave her an unreadable look, then turned back to Creg. "My name's Dane Willmark. I assume you've got a plan?"

Ace stared at the four that had scrambled onto the train in a panic. He'd gathered that a tunnel had collapsed, as why else would someone be hurt? But there should be more people than this... What were they? A couple security gaurds, a miner, and a girl whose job he couldn't identify by her clothing? He stared at the small group strangely, deciding to keep his peace for now.

[[ Edit: ]]
Iraina burst through the doors into the Shuttle control room, searching for one heading towards the American base. "Что случилось?" a screeching Russian voice blared on her own personal radio. "What has happened?" She wasted no time explaining the situation. "Empire has been compromised by an unknown enemy," she said quietly, "I am now overriding all trains aiming for that base." One Shuttle was heading towards Empire from an isolated substation, high priority. This could mean one of two things, she thought, Either that train is full of the only people that survived that substation, or it is full of whatever destroyed them. Whichever it is, I probably should be there when it lands. She looked at it's intended destination and called in a train headed for Empire, itself.
Two minutes later, she was on it.

"A plan?" echoed Ledger. "Dane," he answered incredulously. "The plan," he said, "is to get the hell away from here. First stop: civilization. Once we're safe, then I'll focus on what to do next."
He turned and glanced out of the window, watching support pillars flash by. A minute of silence on his part passed, before Ledger scratched his head and turned to Dane. "Okay, sorry. That was bad of me. I was only trying to get everybody out as alive as possible. All I can really say, is, let's use this time in the train to prepare ourselves, maybe think of a plan."
Ledger probed the crowd with his eyes, hopeful. They fell on Ace. "You--you don't know what's happening, do you? Have you been to Empire?"

Dane gave the security officer a withering look and sat down on a seat along the wall.

((..wow....))
Ledger blinked. "Sydney? We need to get there. Listen, man, you're in danger. We all are." He turned and glanced at the quiet auburn-haired woman, obviously a scientist. "Doc, what are those things?"
The woman twisted her hand up to rest on her sternum, glancing away and out of breath. She shook her head with closed eyes, indicating that she either could not or would not speak at the moment.
A sigh permeated the room.
"Well," Ledger said, "does anybody have any weapons? I have my standard issue Glock. Not that it did much good...."

"I've got a shotgun," Dane said, holding the weapon in the air for a moment before setting it back in his lap.
Andromeda crossed her arms. "I don't have anything. Do you just carry that around everywhere, Dane?"
"Have to. Case in point," he added, gesturing vaguely around them. "Are you saying you wish I hadn't?"

"All Oi 'ave is access to explosives," Ace placed a hand on his pocket that contained his wallet, and concequentially his access card. "But none on me. Wot all happened?"
((Should I tone it down, or can everyone make that out? I hope I'm not butchering the Australian language...))

[[ Sorry, guys, I got a bit confused about the location. It appears that you aren't en route to Sydney yet. Does anybody mind if I edit my post so that I meet you at Empire? ]]
