Jacob is dragged to his feet and then quickly whipped into the corner, his back hitting the turnbuckle hard, but he stayed put.

Jacob was hit, and hit, and hit some more. As his ribs started to "bruise" from the number of times Jarel connected.

Jacob was hit and hit hard. Hard enough to be pushed up to the top turnbuckle, but no... Jarel had missed for Jacob had leaped to the top to avoid the attack not because the move hit.

(that's a unique counter biggrin )
Jarel raises an eyebrow, as to his memory he's never been countered this way. He quickly backs up to the center of the ring

(Thank you! mrgreen )
Jacob quickly jumped down from the turnbuckle, now that the attacks had stopped for the moment. He then began to relax and went forward to attempt a lock-up with Jarel.

Jarel goes into the lock up and looks to hit a quick knee to the gut. should he be successful, he'd attempt a delayed vertical suplex

Jacob went into the Lock-Up and tried using his MMA skills to his advantage and as Jarel went for a knee, Jacob went to grab on to it and take him to the ground with a Single Leg Takedown.

Jarel is slightly surprised as Jacob's counter, but his own MMA style instincts kick in. As Jacob goes to take him down, he attempts to wrap his arm around Jacob's head and pull him down with him, looking to catch him in a guillotine choke

One rule to a takedown, never leave your neck out for someone to get a choke on you, Jacob remembered this and was able to land with-out having the Guillotine fully lock up. Jacob went to flip over and bridge up to give himself space and maybe twist his head out of Jarel's grasp.

Jarel may not have gotten a hold in, but as Jacob tries to twist out of his grasp Jarel throws an elbow at his face, looking to daze the smaller man enough to get free and back to a vertical base

Jacob was backing away as the elbow gazed off his temple, and just like a little kid getting bite by a dog, he knew not to go back a pat that same dog. Allowing Jarel enough time to make it back to his feet just as Jacob did.
