Not to mention that, no matter how unlikely it is to come up in debate, I've heard arguments similar to, "Well partial-birth abortions should be legal, because they rarely happen anyways." Then this, comparison of abortion types, could be used to argue specifically against partial-birth abortion. Or they could say, "The fetus doesn't feel a thing." Then I can say, "Oh yeah? The doctor blah blah blah."

Yeah. Oh, does any one know what kind of abortion the woman recieved in the "SIlent Scream" video (still ha snot seen it...is a bit scared of it)

Oh, does any one know what kind of abortion the woman recieved in the "SIlent Scream" video (still ha snot seen it...is a bit scared of it) Dialation and Extraction I've seen the movie and it is rather spine chilling. You also probably know that pointing to the film as a resource in a debate won't fly well seeing that it is viewed as propaganda. Part of me can agree that the "scream" itself could be propaganda. I'm not a doctor or a biologist. It very could just be black ultrasound specks rather than a mouth for all I know. But the ending just creeped me out far more than the "scream scene" did. But the proceedure itself is real and I have yet to see a good defence to any statement that abortions are not like that. They may be in clearer facilities and sedated and have an abortionist with some skill in his craft. But the procedure itself does not change. I was debating in a different forum where someone said that I was lied to as far as proceedures go and that my sources were propaganda...and shock of shocks, someone that was debating on the pro-choice side stepped in and corrected her that, yes, what I listed ARE the actual procedures used and not hoaxes made up on a fanatical website....she backed off of that point pretty quickly.

That is just sick. Not the fact you posted it, but all the information. The process of getting an abortion- it boggles my mind why any woman would go through all that. I think my stomach flipped when I read the part about "the doctor knows the skull has been crushed when the brains come out." How can abortionists live with themselves??

WHats worse is that many of the woman who get abortions have no idea whats being done to them. The pamphlets that the clinics give out that "explain" what's happanening only tell them what not to bring, what to bring, aroudn how long the abortion will take place, and whether or not they will be sedated. These pamphlets say nothing about the procedures and opperation its self.

Just by the way these clinics and PP push abortion, you can tell its not aboutthe woman its about the money. If woman knew exactly what was being done to them many of them would be less inclned to get one.

I think they should all have to watch a video on what's about to be done to them, outlining the exact procedure they're about to get.

I agree. An abortion has been designated a true operational procedure (one reason why you should have adult concent if under 18 ), with other procedures, they are required to describe exactly whats happening to you, with excruciating detail, if you ask.
