identity7 Japanese_Green_Tea I think next year will be a very dissapointing season for the Panthers. At the end of this season, despite their impressive run, many players, and assistant coaches were eager to jump ships and leave the franchise. John Fox may be a good coach, but something must be wrong with his system, or with the Panthers organization when you have as many players and personel looking to leave.
I see the Falcons capitalizing on their success of last year to win the south, with the New Orleans Saints, if their offense can stay healthy and if they can improve their D just enough I can see them being a solid wildcard contender. The Panthers I think will come in third, just ahead of a re-building Tampa Bay Buccaneers franchise who's looking to add inexperienced youth to accompany and learn under their veteran roster.
So early prediction for the NFC South, 1st- Falcons, 2nd Saints, 3rd Panthers, 4th Buccaneers heck no!! there are too many ifs in that statement, we aquired newer coaches and a new defensive scheme, and our offense is still top notch, even if jake is still the quarterback. I think the same can be said about your statement mate, Your assuming that the new coaches and defensive schemes will work, when at the moment there is no gurantee that it will.
I'm just telling it how I see it, and it will be tough for Carolina to repeat as division champions in a tough NFC South.

diversaurus I like the Panthers too. But if they lose Julius Peppers, that may impact the defense significantly. also, i think they need to add one more receiver... I think Muhsin Mohammed has lost a step. I think they have a good chance of making it all the way to the NFC championship. twisted First of all, Peppers is getting too much money and he wants even more. After the franchise tag, Peppers is unhappy with the Panthers, and Carolina probably can't afford him in the long-term. He'll probably get traded. The Patriots seem to be front-runners.

They need to start getting Matt Moore in a bit more, cause Jake Delhomme hads proved again that he cant win the big one, no matter how good his team is, he especially proved it with his dismal performance against the Cards in the playoffs. Madden itself kicked his a** for that, dropping him from 91 overall with good accruacy and awareness to 83 with bad everything. Its time for a new era of QB in Carolina within the next few years.

Jake Delhomme won a few big games a few years ago when the Panther made it to the Super Bowl, but that's about it. The Panthers supposedly were in the Cutler race, but he went to the Bears instead. Anyways, Carolina has a better chance of winning by starting Delhomme over Moore.
