Avende'Corenne meaning Tree's Return would be a good name for the main Stedding.
Though I do feel that their should still be smaller steadings around. but much like cities they don't have to be listed at this time.
It would really be neat if Avendesora "The Tree of Life" was reborn there.

I agree with you on this Aria. Also there were supposed to be many smaller stedding, but they were unlisted just like the cities at the moment.
Orion, I have no problem if you finalize the map if it is what we all agree upon. I would do it, but I need a new hack for photoshop and I have no idea how long it's going to take me to find one. However when you do it make sure that the names are more legible than those on the other map, and I would use a topographical map (I think thats what they're called... when the different landforms are more color coded, Brown for mountains, maybe white for some of the tallest points of the mountains, dark green for forests, light green for plains/farmlands, light blue for coastal regions and dark blue for the deep waters.... thats all I can think of for the moment)
Also, I hadn't added any rivers, So we should figure out where the best places to put them would be. Also I think we need to add a small lake with the city of Rhuidean next to it in the Aiel Waste.

Generalized overview of suggestions based on Map, last known political status, and individual countries.
Andor/Carhein/Tear = Sister states After the Breaking the quickest way to settle disputes between these three states as each felt they had claim on the others thrones and none could support itself without the others. These 3 states now coexist through a series of trade agreements which at best barely keep them from war.
Manatheran = A Major hub for fashion. The Manatheran people have established themselves as Master artisans throughout the known world. Although a peaceful people, for the most part, Their military skill and training are said to be the the 5th strongest though they would argue that they simply don't need as many soldiers.
Seanchan = The Seanchan as people have split into 3 philosophies. Those that stayed behind still beleive as they did in the books and have once again taken up the use of 'adams making them to work on men as well. Those who came before (Forerunners) Have settled peacefully in Ebou Dar acting as protectors while not interfering in old customs and culture of the Ebou Dari people. When confronted with one who can channel they send that person to thier respective Tower out of old fears. Those who took the Seas Have included themselves with the Sea Folk to make even faster more manueverable ships. They control the seas with the use of both men and women who channel it has never been confirmed as to whether or not they use 'adams but as before they periodically leave some channelers with the Towers.
I figure the borderlands to mostly unchanged. I haven't figured anythin out for the other ones though. These are just suggestions to add a certain political flavor.
Let me know what you think and if I should keep going with generailized or get more specific on these, or if it just doesn't fit right.

I like the ideas of the trade agreement and Manetheran (though I think you should use the word craftsman so people don't assume its just regular artists, though they would likely have many of them as well)).
I like the two philosophies of the Seanchan... but I'm not quite sure If I want to keep the A'dams. I was thinking that the tower would have stopped this during the chaos of the breaking... but instead they view channelers much like the former nation of Amadicia, they are strictly outlawed, and even killed on site (this is of course after they have been sent from the island the first time.) Other than that they rely heavily on their military, having the strongest military next to the country of Fairlorn (where the black tower makes up 95% of the military.)
All of the countries to the West of the mountains are where 95% of the Seanchan who decided to remain on the mainland stayed. These countries are about half Seanchan and half "randlanders", so there is a fairly good mix throughout these countries and they have all come up with their own customs.
The other countries to the East are similar to the greatest nation over there, Illian. (And the country labeled Tarabon needs its name changed, it was supposed to die along with all of the other "unstable" nations from the books. That whole Western area was fairly unstable, many of them before the Seanchan had arrived... that is why none of these countries are supposed to remain today. I think I covered just about all of the other countries on the map though)
And the Borderlands have definitely remained the same, With the addition of the ancient nation of Malkier and a coastal border of Demir. Demir has crafted many warships. Though they are slow they are quite powerful and capable of breaching the shallows of waters. They are also the country to most effectively use the Dragons that were partially discovered by Matt Cauthon and that one chick from the Illuminators guild. These ships are quite similar to our Pirates, though they only reside in that upper Northeast corner of the world.
That brings me to another note... I think the Illuminators guild should have somehow found a way to rebuild itself... maybe from those who had used the Dragons? (For those of you who don't know, a Dragon is a cannon) Where should we put their main guild? Maybe Manetheren?
Let me know if you have any other ideas.

sounds good I would either go with Manetheran or Demir itself perhaps there is something unique to the land that the Illuminators need. ie.. Sulfer deposits or some such. Seems to be fleshing out pretty well.
What of the tinkers?

They're still around, but they never really had a home... Although I think it would be quite interesting if they had a gathering of the tinkers at Rhuidean once a year... just something to kind of remember the Jenn Aiel?

So, there are some areas that looked really plain on the map, so I added hills to break some area's up. A breif summary of geographic notes:
*Rivers added to some borders
*Fertile area in Southwest Shienar/Southwest Arafel to open up an area for potential conflict
*Fairlorn broken by a narrow strait/wide river to make it more natural (I assume you meant to have the seal implied by Tar Valon and Fairlorn)
*Tear has many rivers, as does Illian, so that they still retain some roots in water-based trade
*Long rivers in Manetheran, as well as many natural harbors, help to make it a perfect area for trade.
*Added some hills to the center of Tremalking to help break it up (Islands often have mountains in the middle, but I didn't want to add mountains where you did't want them)
*Over all, the map was made to look more natural

I like it alot, just a few minor suggestions
Flamril, Alcora, and Aryu's borders out to follow the river (I assume you just drew them slightly off to show where the border is)
Also I would color code it so that the rivers are blue, borders are black, and then the rest of the land is colored based on what it is, farmland, forest, desert, mountains, etc. Black and White can be a little hard to read sometimes.
Also Avende Corenne should be written on two different lines, it kinda just runs into the border.
Great job though, I absolutely love it

Yeah, the rivers were drawn off the border to show them. I'm glad you like it for the most part. I actually thought the borders would be more clear if done in red.
