Lohkie grinned at Lilith as he took a pull from the bottle of port. "the best view in town." he grinned as he tossed the bottle carelessly to lilith. "Baph and I used to come up here whenever we needed some time alone."
Lohkie laid down on the roof, putting his hands behind he head and looking up at the stars. "there's something about this place that just makes things seem better. plus it's a good place to bring the pretty laidies" he grinned over at Lilith then turned back to the stars seeming to relax. "i dunno but it's a bit reasuring to know that there's something greater out there."

Lilith caught the bottle expertly, and raised it to her lips, downing a slight and discreet volume of the amber liquid. She savoured the slight fire in the liquid and listened to Lohkie. "Baph?" she questioned quietly, a light lilt in her tone suggesting she had calmed somewhat from the tumultuous ascent.
Lilith, amazingly, blushed at Lohkie's comments. She turned her head to the dark sky again, and spoke softly. "Surely it's just a little frightening how unimportant we are, compared to all this?" Her lithe arm waved at the rolling heavens. "This has existed for so long, and is so incomprehensibly vast and unknown ..." A sigh escaped her. "Well, it frightens me." She grinned a little "Thank goodness there are little adventures like these to distract us from the big questions."

Lohkie grinned, not hearing her query about Baph. "It's because it's so vast that makes it comforting. No matter what chao, strife or uncertainty there is, this vastness will always be here, always waiting." Lohkie smiled at lilith and motioned for the bottle again.
"you gonna keep that all to yourself? geeze sucha greedy lady" Lohkie joked.
"No matter where I go, no matter what happens to Baph and I, This will always be here. That's what's comforting." Lohkie sighed "Besides, YOu shouldn't have adventures to distract from the big question." Lohkie stood up and looked over at Lilith once more. "Have those adventures while Searching for the big answers."

Passing the bottle swiftly back to her companion to dispel all accusations of greed, Lilith set about continuing her earlier questions. She was unsure if he hadn't heard her, or if she was venturing into delicate territory. She looked at her clean paws while internally struggling, and after weighing it up decided to ask regardless. A momentary lapse of tact.
"Who is Baph? A good friend of yours?"
She immediately shifted her body to the side by an almost imperceptible degree, to allow him psychological escape. Although, such physical subtlety escaped most men she'd encountered.
She smiled at him regardless, honestly interested in the Baph that Lohkie spoke so highly of.

Lohkie took the bottle back from lilith grinning at her swiftness in getting rid of the bottle. Lohkie took a swig from the bottle to stal for some time to answer the question. Baph, a friend? yeah probably more than that. He and Baph had been together for longer than he could remember, neither really knew the relationship to the other, but they called each other cousins for the outside worlds benifit. They kept each other out of trouble, well atleast baph kept Lohkie from getting into too much trouble.
Lohkie sighed and set the bottle down between him and lilith. A serious expression clouded his face for a moment. Probably the first to cross his face in a long time.
"yeah, baph's a good friend. We call each other Cousins, but in truth we really don't know if we're even related. We've just known each other since before either of us can remember. " the seriousness passed as lohkie grinned over at lilith "He looks really really weird too. I love teasing him about it" Lohkie laughed and grabed the bottle, taking a large gulp of the sweet liquor.

Lilith smiled. She hadn't ever been close to another Daruma, and to be honest didn't intend to. Unless it benefited her in some respect, of course. She wasn't one for loneliness; she flourished in her own companionship. As such, she found it hard to understand the bond that Lohkie was describing, though it didn't sound unpleasant.
She reached for the bottle Lohkie had placed between them, and raised it to her lips. The liquid burned a little, and settled in her stomach as she listened to the Tigris, placing the bottle carefully down again.
"Weird? How does he look weird?" She raised a brow, delicately, envisioning a circus freak. "What's he like?"

lohkie smiled and winked secretively at lilith. then leaned ever so close to her ear. "heh, he's go spikes" Lohkie rolled back laughing. "great big ones, and a few that even hover around him." Lohkie had to stop to try and catch a breath of air. It was fairly obvious that the port was starting to effect lohkie. Or so it would seem. "he's so touchy about them he thinks that they make him look weird. But in truth they kinda make him look regal." Lohkie snorted, he obviously didn't think that description fit Baph. "He tries to act so tough and vicious, and while he is an excelent engager, the first turn of a girl in distress, and he's all over her" Lohkie smiles and laid back again.
"An honorable mafia member, who woulda thought" Lohkie grinned and took another pull from the bottle. "I could introduce you to him. You'd probably like him." Lohkie leaned back and watched the stars, Lilith and Baph probably would get along well together, but something inside lohkie twinged at the thought. jealousy perhaps? but lohkie paid no attention to it. "hmm port must be affecting me more than i though." lohkie muttered to himself.

Lilith laughed heartily at her companion, unaware of the effect the drink was having on him. "Spikes you say? I have to see this!" Despite her refined sensibilities, she had never heard of a Daruma with such adornments, and decided she must see them herself at some point. Possibly accompanied by an armed guard however, if this Baph was a mafia man.
"Wouldn't his being affected by females seriously compromise the work you do though? Though I'm unaware of the specifics, it seems like a very easily manipulated weakness." She cocked her head to the side, beginning to feel she had to meet this Baph character, and soon. She stretched and sighed, then glanced at the darkening sky.
“What on Sedes is the time? I should have been home hours ago!” Lilith said, though seemingly more for show than in actually caring. She was her own master, and regardless of what her personal assistant thought, she'd come home when she damn well pleased. She had enjoyed the tumultous evening spent with Lohkie, and thought it was not what she was accustomed to, it was better than sitting in her (admittedly plush) apartment with only paperwork for company, as she was scheduled to do this evening.

Lohkie smiles. "heh, you would think, but someone tried to pull that on him once before.... thing is, he doesn't have a reputation as such a savage engager for nothing. The girl was fine... won't mention the rival gang that tried to use her." Lohkie smiled sarcasticly "course, you mess with baph you mess with Tommy, and well, Tommy makes baph look like a newborn kitten sometimes." Lohkie scowled, it was obvious that he didn't like Tommy much at all.
Tommy sighed and took another pull at the bottle. "time?" Lohkie looked up at the sky thought for a second then turned back to lilith "I have no clue" Lohkie grinned "why does it matter? we still have a good half a bottle." Lohkie held up the bottle and shook it back and forth a little. "But, if you want to go you want to go." Lohkie stood up and brushed himself off bowing jokingly to Lilith. "Where can i escort you to m'lady?" Lohkie joked holding out an arm.

Her upper lip quivered gently at the thought of a character such as ... Tommy. She was thankful she worked alone, didn't have to involve herself too deeply with such unsavoury specimens. She was glad that Lohkie shared her opinions, even though she didn't share them.
"Well," she ruminated slowly, "I don't actually have any plans this evening." The papers could wait. She clutched at Lohkie's outstretched arm, and hoisted herself from a seating position. "I don't really care where we go, anywhere is preferable to a chilly rooftop."
