Gyani shook her head, slowing pace to not leave him to behind. "No its quite close-- Actually. " She smiled, ears pinning forward, she was sure it was near, she had ran for barely then a few seconds sense she had seen it and then met with Shilah, and she culd somewhat see some roots poking higher then they shuld be as it was a fallen tree.
I can.. Sorta see it. " She stated.

"Sounds good," Shilah says, unable to hide from his tone some of the relief that flows through him inwardly. He's not going to want to get up tomorrow morning. No. In fact, maybe it'd be better if he didn't sleep at all; then he wouldn't ever have to wake up to not being able to move properly at all.

Gyani grinned, letting a trot to invesigate the hollow, no other animals, what if Shilah got in, barely able to run and some bear ended up in there? No way!
She stopped at a hole in the bark, looking back at Shilah with a joking smile. 'Beat ya! " She alughed, standing on her hind paws for moments before landing on all fours and snififng the entrance. No fox.. Or bear.. Her mind thought, though a smile still played across her face. Finally peeking in, she found how some dangers werent easly scented-- a rattling sound started to cripple through the slight darkness of the tree den, and through weak rays of sunlight, the blue female culd see shining scales and golden eyes. "What are you..?" She whispered, smile fading away quite quickly. And iit hit her in the face, like a ton of bricks, and the female leapt back in time to dodge a open mouth coming at her, aiming for the chest. "RATTLER! " She roared.

"Peh, just watch me when I haven't been hung out to drive after a river-run...I'd beat you without a problem, miss," He says, looking stern - but it's clear that he's only following through with the joking.
His brain kicks into full gear, quite suddenly. Rattler?! Here? Now? Holy - without even finishing the thought, the half-striped male is off like a shot. Presumably, he couldn't run, but it's amazing what one can do when one is pushed to it. Blood roaring in his ears, he blindly rushes across the forest floor...-
-...and trips, stumbling down a small ravine and landing in a heap at the bottom, half-in a tiny stream and wet again. Feeling more battered and bruised than ever before, he lifts his head. Intelligence only comes afterwards, and his brain slowly clicks backwards. Gyani. Where was Gyani? He just left her there...
Shame and guilt threaten to overwhelm him, and he gets up on all fours, shivering violently. He lets out a bark: "Gyani? Gyani!"

Gyani was suprised when Shilah dashed, not on the fact he did dash after knowing of the snake, but because he did dash! lots of wolves wuld flee from such snake, but Shilah was half brocken! Well, the blue female wuldent flee, no. She was shure that if she got it fully out of that little cove, she culd get it out, rattles didn't usualy attack wolves, though she didn't know why.
Stepping to aheasd of the hole, she tried to be noticed, if she culd only make that.. Creature lunge a bit more! A tan snake head sudenly jutted from the darkness, causing Gyani to jolt backwards in time to dodge, and soon she culd see the whole snake, coiled up after a strike, rattling like mad to try and scare her off while aiming another strike.
"I'm not afraid of you. " The female growled, head lowering as she stood facing the venomous snake, tail still and dropped nimbly behind her, ears twiching back as she heard Shilah call, but was too concentrated to bother and answer, he wait to talk to her, now wuld possibly cause her death. >__>'
A tan and brown slither riped through the air and a howl killed the(half xD) silence, Gyani batted the rattler away from her left paw with her right one, sending it meters away, just for the snake to turn, look at her then slither away.
Lucky for the wolf, the amount of venom was so little that all it culd have done to a wolf her size was make her a little ill for a little while, nothing very marking. Wincing a bit, the female started to feel sorta dizzy, but managed to open her maw and try and answer to Shilah. "Shilah! Rattler gone now. " She yipped, quite breathless, looked in the snakes direction making sure it was gone, then flopped on to her belly, half tilting to the side.

Back at the ravine, Shilah is going through a little bit of a personal crisis. He just left her there. He ran and left her. What kind of a wolf is he? He should get out and go to her. Now.
But his limbs are trembling, and he can't seem to force his paws to move at all. A cold wind blows quietly through the ravine, seeming to chill his very soul to the marrow. He knows what Istas would call him now - a coward, and a fool. But he can't get over the way he remembered snakes. Slithering coils, the flashing eyes...he flinches involuntarily, even though there's nothing around him.
Her call seems to bring him back to himself. He feels like he'd been standing there for hours, with nothing but his fear to comfort him - but really, it was a mere matter of minutes. His legs still trembling violently, he makes his shakey way up the slope. He has to force himself to sit down once or twice again. He can't stop shaking....
When he finally reaches the area where he had so shamefully fled, it's to find Gyani lying on her side, and no snake in the vicinity. His heart skips a few beats, and he rushes towards her, almost tripping over his own feet again. He licks her cheek, worriedly. "Gyani - ...what happened?"
Despite this, he can't make eye contact with her. There's something extremely shameful in his gaze.

Gyani forced a smile and gave a slight tail wag. "Rattler. " She stated, lifting the paw that had been 'pecked', snakes didn't cause blood, but instead left tiny little holes, though hers were half hidden thanks to the fur. "Not much tho'. " The blue femme said with a little bit of cheer in her voice, trying to look at the half striped male, but her eyes were cheating on her for the moment. it wasent really the first time Gyani had a unpleasant encounter with a rattler and actually took a bit of venom, so she quite knew she'd be fine.
With a now real grin, Gyani looked to where the trunk was, though not quite seeing much detail. "I'm sure you can rest in it now, rattler prooly freed it from anythin' else. " Rattlers didn't usualy stay in places with more snakes or bugs, probably ate the rest.
With effort, Gyani managed to get her paws back under her and get up, wolf-claws diging in to the ground to prevent her diziness to force her toppling over. Though the female was standing pretty much like a thin tree in strong wind, it was enough for her, as long as she CULD stand up.

His ears are back, and poor Shilah looks rather tortured. He still has problems meeting Gyani's eyes...and he seems to not really hear her next statements, as if he were too preoccupied with something else.
"Gyani," He whines, tail hanging low. What's he supposed to say? 'I can't believe I left you to possibly die here?' 'I behaved like a complete coward?' 'I'm sorry I ran away?' All of them stick in his too-proud throat, and it's hard for him not to choke on them. Somehow, he manages not to.
"I'm sorry," He completes, miserably, his head hanging. Actually, he'd feel better if she started shouting right now. Shouting, he's been able to deal with - Istas and Kaya both shout a great deal, at each other, and at him. "I didn't mean to...to run off on you like that. I just - I didn't mean it," He finishes, helplessly."

Gyani tilted her head at the half striped male, though her eyes culdent quite fix on him thanks to the dizzy-ness. Well, at least she culd hear, ne? The female searched for words, wich in current state was a tick more difficult, but she did it anywho. "Its ok Shilah, " She tried to start, truthfully, it wuldent have mattered much if he had stayed, she wuld have tried and lured the snake away in any way. "you were actually smart, rattlers arent to be messed with. I'm the one that stayed on my will, you're pushing you'reself to hard. " She tried, though in her mind, the words came out quite rong.
With an attempt to change subject, the blue wolf wandred(wobbly..ly xD) toward the trunk, there was nothing else in it, the snake had done the favour to clean the rest before her and Shilah. Practicly tripping in, Gyani curled pressing her body against a corne as if to make sure it was there. "Best for me to take a nap, like that I wont be awake through all this confusion. You shuld too, 'is why I got the snake out! :3 " She said, peering her muzzle out of the hole before hunching in her little.. trunk.. Corner.. Thing. xD To her, this was ctually sorta a fun day, even though Shilah was all in panic cuz of the snake, Gyani was quite fine, though troublesome, and Gya rarely really kept good moods after such events, but sense she managed to keep it, this day was a victory!

(( So, on AIM Dustii said i culd pretend Shilah just went to sleep too. xD *starts new day* ))
Gyani yawned, streching out her paws and pulling her head back, though stopping remembering where she was, and if she streched more she'd kick Shilah. Shilah. He shuld be better after a night, as she was pretty much, just stomach seeming like a hurricane, wich was never comfie. With another yawn, Gyani got to her paws(though crouched cuz its a log. xD) and toddled over to him, nuding the male side as if to wake him up.
"Shilah, sun up, means Shilah shuld up too. " She said, Gyani usualy didn't talk like that, probably the snake-bite results, making her act.. different for a bit. yesh.. Thet. o__0

Oddly enough, Shilah slept like a log - which, considering his state of mind, would probably not have been possible for too many other wolves. But he's always taken sleep very seriously...it's something his body needs to recooperate. That, and his trip down the river was probably just as effective as a tranqualizer. His body is exhausted, it needs sleep: so, it does.
However, he doesn't wake up feeling very refreshed, either in body or soul. His body is battered, and bruised, and he feels as if he were tossed around by the scruff of his neck by his aunt one too many times. His soul feels worse. He rouses at the sound of Gyani's voice, his eyes narrowed slightly. At this distance, he looks like less of an idiot than one might consider him. The growl stops, however, when he realizes who it is, and he merely shakes his head, as if trying to clear it. He manages to move onto very sore and stiff paws, but if he remains in here much longer, he's going to get cramped; his muscles just can't take it. A yawn. "Grar. You feeling okay?"

Gyani ignored the growl, it was different if you were just.. waking up a wolf, rather then an already awake and knowing wolf, unless utterly confused. "Im better, you? " She said, but rather, peeked out of the trunk, and went all out, there was no decent streching in there, really. >>

He creeps out, feeling like he's never going to be able to stand properly again. He stretches, groans, and limps over to a small puddle of water to lap up some liquid.
That done, he finally looks up at Gyani again. He resists the urge to snap something back - she doesn't deserve to bear the brunt of his foul mood, with himself and the world. So he turns something that could've been nasty into a short, brief: "I've been worse."

Gyani took a deep breath, sorta like a replacement for a yawn. "Well, considering the way I found you, that is for sure. " she beamed, though in the middle of her 'half yawn', it was good he wasent as bad as that, anymore. There hadent changed too much, but still better, ne?

He rolls his shoulders back into a shrug, biting back another retort. My, but he's in a temper today. Maybe he's out of sorts since Istas isn't around...she usually had enough temper for the both of them. Or maybe he misses Kaya. At any rate, he feels very disorientated still, both physically and emotionally.
"I hope what's on the agenda today is leading me back to some parts I know," He says, eyeing Gyani curiously. "I'm afraid if you left me here, I'd be going in the opposite direction of where I came from." He could follow the river, but it might've branched; he has a sneaking suspicion he was partially unconscious for some of that wild ride.
