Lillu was confused and in a daze, soaking wet, with her partially limp body being buffeted by the current. Her mind was so fuzzy that it took her a few minutes to even realize what was happening. When she had gained some control, she shifted over and also grabbed onto the log where she realized that it had been the Fire Palui who'd saved her! Again she began to panic. "But you can't--! You're all wet!" Now that they were in the shallow water, Lillu worked to shift the log so that Helios was pushed further from the water, before she released her hold on the log to help push him onto shore. "Somebody please help!!"

" Actually, I feel pretty -huff huff- good!" True, Helios was soaked to the core, shivering, and a bit tired, but he really couldn't notice anything WRONG with him.
Perhaps the whole 'you'll get sick' thing was a way to keep him from being too naughty? "I just need to, -huff- rest a bit..." He said, a deep sigh escaping his mouth before he closed his eyes and enjoyed the warm air. "I feel so tired..."

Lexie lay atop a rocky outlet that over looked the happenings at the rivers edge. So many different Palui, what a sight. It was so rare for Lexie to see so many all gathered at once, all interacting. In the wild, you could usually go a few days without seeing any others of your kind, and it was an even rarer occasion to actually interact with the other. Not that Lexie disliked seeing others, she just wasn't used to it. But, she was rather inquisitive to go down and interact with all the Palui, as some seemed to be rather tame and not used to the wild. Possibly brought up in the human settlement? It would be a great chance for her to learn something. There was also a fellow fire Palui amongst all the commotion, which was a bit of a welcome sight.
But, after watching the sort lived epidemic of the poor white, green and yellow speckled Palui falling into the rivers current, it seemed that due to the fire Palui's actions, his health might be at risk. From so far up, Lexie could not see as to whether the Palui's flames tipping his ears had gone out, which called for a closer inspection!
Lexie got up, stretching out her front legs and yawning. She had been rather comfortable laying on the rocks, bathing in the sun. She needed the heat, as it was much colder being so far from the volcano.
She hopped between the jagged outcrops that lead slowly down to the river edge, gracing each leap with skill from the many times before that she had done such things. When she reached the bottom, she quickly gave her body a brief shake, so as to get any unwanted dirt off of her shiny blue pelt.
She padded over to the many Palui, the fire one in her sights, staying relatively calm compared to the atmosphere that was think in the air. "You know, what they say about keeping your flames alight isn't just little made up stories" She announced to the fire Palui, an eyebrow raised, but a hint of concern in her tone.

Lillu was relieved to see another fire Palui, and such a pretty one! She couldn't help but to daze off while staring at the lovely green flames at the tips of Lexie's ears, but quickly came to, with her adrenaline still pumping from the whole ordeal. At this point, she was much more concerned for Helios's well being than her own, a little water never hurt anyone, though she was feeling a little off after inhaling somewhat more than she should have. "Oh! Do you know how to help him? I'd hate if he got sick because of helping me!" Lillu looked back over to Helios, tired and breathing rather heavily, with concern.

Helio's muticolored eyes snapped towards yet ANOTHER palui, but was immediately amazed by the green flames that danced on the tips of her ears. He was a bit dazed from all the adrenaline, and it took him awhile to grasp the other fire palui's words. Helios wanted to reply...
But couldn't find the words. After some few moments, he lifted himself up, hearing Lillu's voice but not yet grasping her words... "I'm fine... Helios muttered under his breath.

Lexie came more forwards, closer to the fire Palui. On closer inspection, she could now see that the fire Palui's flames had indeed gone out. She sighed deeply, then turned to the male Palui. "No, I'm sorry, but you are definitely not fine. Your flames have gone out, thus meaning that if we do not get you into some state of care soon, you will indeed fall very ill." Lexie stated sternly. It seemed that this Palui didn't realise how much trouble he was really in, "Either way, you are going to fall ill. But if we act soon, you will be in much better health than you could be"
Lexie started to position herself next to the fire Palui in order to help him move. "Yes, I do indeed know how to help your saviour" Lexie said, turning to smile at the little soggy Palui, "But in order to do so, I am going to need every one's help. Tell me, are we near the human settelment?" she asked all the Palui around her, hoping that they were close to it, and that one of these Palui belonged to a human that could help the male out. Or, if, even better, the male actually belonged to a human. Attuned Palui belonging to a human wasn't a rareity these days.
"What is yourname?" Lexie asked the fire Palui.

It made HElios feel a bit better to know that soemone was interested in knowing who he was. "I'm HELIOS, of course, ALmighty King of the SUN aaaand brother of Polaris! I'm also known as the flame ninja and-Chuu!" The red fire palui, sneezed briefly, ending his introduction with an abrupt hault. Helios snuggled against the other fire palui, obliviously enjoying her warmth. He hadn't seen another fire palui in such a long time...

Lillu's ears sank in despair at Lexie's question. They were almost in the exact center of the island- the only real human settlement was the harbor town to the far west, it would take them much too long to get there from the river delta. Her eyes darted around at the other Palui, hoping they'd heard and that they would help out. "I'm afraid not... I only know of the harbor town where I grew up. It's quite far away. Is there anything else we can do..?" Lillu's eyes were large, almost in tears, though any tears would be obscured by her soaked body.

Lexie grinned and raised an eyebrow, once again, at Helios' response. "Helios? Almighty King of the Sun? Brother of...Polaris? I'm sorry but, I've never heard of any of them" she snickered. Teasing this Palui would be quite fun, as he seemed to be rather young, with a rather strong fighting and largely playful spirit. But she didn't mean to come across as mean, so she continued to give Helios' ear a quick gnaw.
Hearing the slight despair in the small Palui's voice made Lexie pity the poor thing. But, she didn't let the grin slip from her muzzle. "No worries little one. If we can't go to the human settlement, or, harbor, I'm guessing that's it's official name. then the only other place we can go to is Mt. Manu, my home." She said, "He'll be able to recover much quicker there, as the temperature is much warmer, and more suited to our attunement. But, I can't take him there by myself, as he is a rather large Palui, so I'll be needing all the help I can get. Care to accompany me?" Lexie asked the little one, smiling warmly down at her in hope that it would trigger some relief for her. "Also, may I ask your name?" Lexie questioned the strangely speckled Palui.

"Taken care of? Ladies, no offense but this hurts my ego. Feh, to be- CHUU!" Another sneeze. "cared for by two GIRLS is outrageous, I can treat myself!" Although he wasn't sure how...
Helios sulked quietly, hoping that they'd leave so that he could go find his servant, and come back to tell them he had healed all by himself. Helios imagined how cool that would make him feel...
But then again, the likeliness of him being able to do all that was more outrageous than being taken care of by a few knd palui's. "Feh!" He said, trying to feed his own ego.
He couldn't quite catch most of what Butterscotch had said, but... Wait, did she say DIE?! "I'm gonna DIE! HELP ME! Help help help! -cough- I'M DYING! NOOOO! TELL EUKKIE THAT I'VE ALWAYS HATED HIM! Find my brother, tell him that I've always loved him!" After a few moments, he was just flailing and blubbering.
Poor thing.

"Oh! Me?" Lillu was a little taken aback by being asked her name by such a lovely and composed Palui. She'd already developed a high sense of respect for Lexie, and planned to cooperate to the fullest to help Helios. "My name is Lillu!" She gave Lexie a little nod and a determined look possessed her facial features. "Mt. Manu it is, then!" Lillu then looked to Butterscotch, who had approached them offering her help as well with a smile. The smile didn't last long, with Helios's attitude though. Lillu furrowed her eyebrows and puffed out her cheeks. Sure, he was a little delusional right now, but how rude!

Lexie now raised both eyebrows. This guy seemed like he was going to be very hard to please. But then, a cunning little idea popped into her head, reforming the grin on her lips. She turned her head and quickly winked at Lillu, and the other female Palui, with a rather fetching deep yellow coat, indicating that they follow her lead, and that she could do with both of their help.
She turned her head back to Helios' changing her expression to that of dismay. "Oh poor Helios! I'm sorry, but it is rather true. Your going to die." She paused for effect, hoping that the fake analysis would make Helios more cooperative. "The only way you can be saved is if you come to Mt. Manu with me to meet the . . . Great Fire God!" Lexie spurted, making nearly everything up as she went along, hoping that Helios would believe it. "There, I can ask him to perform his amazing mythical powers and reignite her flames!" Lexie concluded, in a dramatic voice.
But really, having to make up all this nonsense just to be able to get a rather proud Palui to actually let himself be healed, it was just plain silly. He really must be very young.

Helios listened to Lillu, with his eyes closed, sulking rather drained on the ground. Lillu had a nice voice though... Wait, where did that come from? The fire palui's brows knitted as he tried desperately to pretend his head wasn't hurting and his stomach wasn't aching...
Lexie said some random NONSENSE abotu fire kigns and mythical powers! Helios paused. . . "You have alot of nerve... Do I LOOK like a kit to you? I am NO child or nonsensable idiot! Feh, FIRE KING! I oughtta-" For a few seconds, he totally lost himself, just stopping everything... Then he yawned, and began again. "O yeah, I was scolding you about the fire king...Wait... Ummm...We can't go to the fire kign because...he does not.. like...water. But we're LEAVING the river now. So..Continue, please." Helios muttered, eyes still closed.
