I am against racism, sexism, and almost every -ism you can think of, but as great as it would be, prejudice acts and thoughts will never fade. People make such a big fuss about every little thing and won't let it go. We will always put up with s**t like that in the world. Equality is a wonderful illusion. We all want to be treated like everyone else, but it can not be so.

ninja-boi92 im all for equality of everything. i just dont wanna see a non-caucasion person rip at someone constantly for being white and then pull the race card when something is said back. that aside, on to women. not all women, just illogical feminists. they love to say that they want equality. they wanna "be treated like men." bulls**t. they say that, but if we treat them like we treat our male friends, we are called "pigs" "sexists" "perverts" etc. but then if we treat them not like men, they go and wave the sexist flag. so, this goes out to all you women who THINK you want equality... HEY, IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED "EQUAL" THEN GROW A SPINE AND TAKE EVERYTHING THAT COMES WITH BEING EQUAL. I REFUSE TO CONTINUE TO TREAT U EQUALLY ONLY WHEN ITS CONVIENIENT FOR YOU. thank you. yeah, that is sort of how i see it as well. when other races wanna talk generalize and talk about whites, its just as racist as whites talking it on them. same for men and women. few modern americans have had to worry about racism and sexism as badly as it was before their major movements for equality. im not saying there is NO racism against non-whitemen, im saying it is not nearly as bad, so quit pretending like it is. I am a 19 year old white, 1/2 german, male. I am not racist in any way, shape, or form. now, in my lifetime racism and sexism have already had their major movements, so obviously, I have never been a slave owner, i never stole indian land, i never mistreated jews, and ive not denyed women equality, so quit treating me like i have!!! quit using old examples from ancestors as evedence of modern racism!!! and if you want equality, you better take the good qualitys AND the bad ones. equal women- dont get mad if i dont hold a door, pull a chair, or "ladies first". and for god sake, accept the basic facts that men are naturally taller and stronger than women. its just how it is.....accept it and move on..... black- dont dress like a gangster, then get mad at cops and store owners/managers for suspecting you of a crime above others around. indians - i aint stole no land from you. american land was taken LONG before either of us was born, from ancestors who did not believe in OWNING land.

Equality is hard to achieve, you'd have to somehow brainwash every human being into the idea that everyone and everythng is equal. Your feelings and emotions, your mind can classify someone rude to you as lower than you or the teacher as your better, etc.
I'm not sure if perfect equality would be good though.
So this is about equality of races and gender? As always eh..
Well after reading some of the start I kinda got the idea that if you put such a load of effort into black people, and then white female people, you'll most likely leave the last one out, which is white males. (I am very sorry for mentioning blacks and whites only, certainly there are yellows and reds which depends on where you come from but yeah eberyones mostly classified black or white.)
So what the white man is to do for the lady and so on, even allowing more services for the old and injured might be racism huh...
Well you'll hold the door and use small talk, consider yourself uglier than a model just because of yourself, either you have enough manners to do this or you're self centered enough to think of yourself the equal of celebrities.
Well i just got confused and lost my train of thought. Bottomline is, equality is like our flaws, its always been there and cannot be perfected. OR is unequality another one of our flaws~

I agree with most everything this says, and I really don't like solely minority scholarships while white people get nothing, and there is affirmative action, plus some black people are now asking for money for what the work their ancestors do, which is another thing to prove that there at least a few non-white people out there that are trying to take without earning anything.
I'm a white female, and unlike some girls, I would gladly take equality over having a bunch of men holding the door open for me or help seating me, I think those are both ridiculous notions, and are not needed in society anymore, girls are not helpless. I'm willing to take what comes with equality.

the typical white guy gets into the union or college or fraternity or job because of his network, he has guys who put in a good word for him and it COUNTS.
the rest of us need something to balance against that.
it's only fair!

chessiejo i am for everybody getting a fair chance. the typical white guy gets into the union or college or fraternity or job because of his network, he has guys who put in a good word for him and it COUNTS. the rest of us need something to balance against that. it's only fair! Oh, I think not. you see, I AM the average guy, and right now I'm stuck in a community college( no denying anyone) , paying most of my tuition myself( cause I am an average, lower-middle class guy and thus unable to get most scholarships and grants), by working my butt off at the local wal mart. and I got the job after a year out of work, searching for a job. And this was before the job market went as bad as it is right now. if i was denyed a job, i couldnt claim racism. I can not get race or gender based scholarships, because those are for women and non-whites. So no... just, No........ not an ounce of fairness......
