She nodded gently as Remus spoke. But still..."Can we tell momma together?" With grandada, and Viree, she wouldn't have anything to worry about.

" ...'Course." Then looking as cheerful as she mustered herself to be, she continued. "I can do other things, like grandada says. I could...I could do alchemy. And potions." Morgan had told her that before, and for now, she focused on being able to learn something at least. Wiggling against her grandfather gently, she moved over to where her brother was and gave him a big hug.

His poor, sweet grandkits. How hard this must be for them. Remus did hope he was right, that Ayako would look past Axis being unable to use magic. It had come as a shock to Liliana when William would not even try, but then again his father for all he loved a witch was really not into even understanding magic. Those kits on a whole seemed to be more into alchemy than magic, though enough were interested in potions to at least keep his crimson daughter from fretting that she had failed her kits in their heritage.

Axis -to his knowledge- would be the first of Ayako's with no wizarding abilities. He nuzzled the kits, hugging them together gently then sweetly placing a more human-like kiss to the small female's forehead. "Of course, kitling. Did you think I would force you to go alone?" Dark eyes looked softly into the kits. Was he becoming too distant from his offspring & theirs that perhaps they could think that of him? "And yes... you can ask your Uncle Edward to see if you have a knack for Alchemy, or Liliana & I can guide you in potions without being able to use magic." Ah yes... he and Ginny had practice teaching a 'muggle' potions in Endless. Most of it -the shifts and worries of what might go wrong- coming from Liliana. Those were stressful times. Remus wondered what the kind former-suitor was up to. He hoped him well. But those teachings... they could help his grandkit.

Xerviree nodded, "Yeah, yeah." There would be no problems at all if they were all together when they told mommy about Axis. It was a very good idea, there was strengh in numbers after all, right?

He huged her back with a smile, tails wagging. "I...I can help too!" he chirped, he wasn't too sure on alchemy or potions for that matter, but this was his sister. He'd do all it took to help her.

A beautiful bright smile appeared on Axis's face, beaming at her grandfather as she clung to Xerviree. Going together made her feel much better. And yes, learning Alchemy and Potions would be fun. Especially with Viree, and family around.

"Thank you." She murmured, snuggling in the warmth of her brother and grandfather's fur.

Of course, it didn't take very long for Ayako to realize that both of her children were missing. Plus the fact that Xanul had forgotten to pop by his parent's place to tell them he had dropped them off at Trelweny's home...and it was getting rather late.

With a frown upon her face, she Apparated into the library. "Father, have you...oh!" She gasped, and her face slowly became stern. "What are you two doing here? How did you come here?" None of them had really learnt how to Apparate yet, nor shown any signs of portal powers. They hadn't walked all the way from the mountain...did they?

It warmed his heart how Xerviree was so willing & ready to help his sister. Remus snuggled them lightly, and murmured a 'you're welcome' softly and with great depth of feeling.

Striped ears perked at his daughter's voice and carefully Remus lifted his head to meet Ayako face to face. There was both the stern & loving father mixed with a bit of sheepishness and doting grandfather upon the elder Lupin's face. "Ah, Ayako. Just who we were about to go see. I...ah... don't really know how they came here..." and that was probably the explanation for most of his sheepishness -that Remus had not thought to bother to ask. "... but they are welcome anytime." He did not add the obvious: that they should tell their mother before leaving. Having 'run away' that was not likely something they would have done. He would likely have to pace how he said things to not hurt Ayako too much. She was unlikely to take well her kits had wished to run away.

"I will tell her if you wish it of me, Axis-dear. Simply say the word." Remus waited patiently. Some things... even kits had to be given the option of doing alone.

The male giggled, smiling as his sister snuggled their grandfather and him.

Ears perked, as Xerviree look up at the sound of a familiar voice. His tails wagged slightly at the sight of his mother, though they quickly stilled at the stern look on her face. Were they in trouble? "Xanul broubt us~" he uttered sheepishly, turning his gaze towards his sister. He glanced up at his grandfather, with a tiny smile.

The kit's eyes held surprise and fear as she looked at her mother, looking slightly sheepish as she did so. It didn't really come much of a surprise that Ayako had chosen to come here to look for them, it was just that she hadn't expected her mother's arrival to be so soon.

"Xanul." Ayako sighed, shaking her head. It figured that he would be the one to bring them here, and then totally forget about telling anyone about it. She made a mental note to talk to him the next time he came by.

An eyebrow arched as her father mentioned that Axis..wanted to tell her something? She could sense how uncomfortable her little daughter was feeling, and turned her turquoise gaze to her.

"Well...momma...I...I..." She had to learn to tell her mother herself. Be as strong as Ayako was. "I... can't do magic, momma."

The kitsusagi stood there in muted shock for an instant. She had seen the signs of course, but she had never thought that one of her children would...would be unable to do magic. The fact that Remus knew, already confirmed that it was true, and she couldn't help but to release a sigh. "So...it was true after all?"

Ah. Xanul. That explained much. Xanul was very adept at popping in & out of the library unobserved -as had been discovered when he was Aurum's penpal when it was his 'turn' to hide from his mother. Of course that portal ability was even better than apparating for the purpose of being undetected, lacking even the soft tell-tale 'pop' even the most accomplished wizard could not get rid of completely.

Remus smiled sadly. Well she was taking this better than Liliana had taken William's lack of magic. Then again... her eldest and only son also showed no interest in magic which seemed to be what pained his mother the most. That he was so into his father's Alchemy soothed the hurt at least. "I am afraid so, Ayako-dear. Your kits came to me, afraid of your reaction." He smiled gently at his daughter and her kits. "Xerviree showed impressive self-sacrifice offering his own magic to his sister." Dark eyes returned to try to catch Ayako's turquoise eyes. "Better here, yes?"

He hugged his sister as she told their mother that she couldn't do magic. He knew it couldn't have been easy for her to say, and it was very evident in her voice. She was very brave to have said it by herself, he knew that he wouldn't have been able to if it were him. Xerviree smiled slightly as Remus said that he showed impressive self-sacrifice. That was a good thing right? He wasn't sure.

Looking towards his mother he tried to keep up his smile as she sighed. "Don't be sad mommy~"

It was also known that Xanul hated Apparating, from the time he was a kit. He had often complained it made him sick in the stomach, and was therefore delighted that he had another mode of transport. The pop of Apparating never really crossed his mind, however.

She returned her father's smile with a soft one of her own. She could see why they were afraid. Ayako had strictly told them that studying magic was of utmost importance. Her eyes flickered to her youngest son, and she smiled, a hint of pride in her voice as she spoke. "That's sweet of you, Xervi."

It had of course, been hard for Axis to say that out loud, but with her brother and grandfather at her side, she wasn't so afraid anymore. She hugged Xerviree back lovingly.

"I'm not exactly sad because of that, dear." She spoke gently, padding over to them and resting a paw on Axis's head. "I'm sad because you didn't tell me earlier. But I'm also proud of both of you."
