Nenda Locana, watched Bristole and Shiva interact for a few minutes. Finding it interesting how the male had to re-assure himself of his status. It was as though he had to make sure everyone knew, he was the eldest and the strongest. One of her siblings had self-concious issues, the other was the same, just in a different form.

She tilted her head at Shiva's words. She thought Shiva looked like...Shiva. "You look like ye'rself Sista. Compare not ye'rself to others" she said with a firm nod of her head. As if that settled the matter of her sisters self-concious issue.

Raistlin, had to suppress a chuckle at Nenda Locana. He was starting to realize, what a huge task was before him. He was to teach her things? He found that to be very unlikely. She already knew so much. She had a good grasp of whats around her, and who is before her. This, would certainly be an adventure.

Brisote's attention was finally drawn off Shiva to Nenda and instantly he set his eye upon her hat. Only the captain should have such a hat and if anyone was going to be captain it would be him! Releasing Shiva from his grasp he leaped over to Nenda grabbed her hat brim in his mouth and tore it off her head in order to place it on his own. "Te cap'n be waren de hat roun here an dat beh meh!"

Davey looked surprised at this and took a heavy step forward "Insubordination fresh out o yeh egg? An how yeh be s'posin tah mutiny when yeh aint but ah pup?" he spoke gruffly standing tall and looking down at his boy to show who the true captain was. "Yeh be needn tah know the workins ohf mah ship before yeh be cap'n! Any o' yeh! So don't yeh be puttin meh in mah grave jest yet" he growled the last few words, it was one thing to have ferocity in what you do but when it leads to a mutiny he wouldn't have it, especially not from his own brood!!

Brisote was caught off guard by his father interfering but it didnt detour him. He waited for Davey to say his peice, Brisote's tails flicking irritated while he waited. but once Davey finished Brisote put his attention back on Nenda "I'll beh cap'n some day don't yeh ferget!" He stared his sister down waiting for either defiance in which case he would fight, or submission in which case he would gloat. Either way he planned on keeping the hat.

Raistlin, was on his feet in an instant. A surprising feat for the frail kitsusagi. He gripped the Staff of Magius tightly, and glared daggers at Bristole, a sight unseen due to his cowl. A low growl, came from the mage, but he waited. To see how Nenda would react in this situation. He hasnt tought her anything yet. He should have started right away.

Nenda's eyes flashed to life, as her brother defied her, and stole her hat. Her tail tips, flicked rappidly, but other then that, her compusure was strong. "Unless ye return me hat, some day, will never come brodah" she said in an equally calm voice. As if it were a wide known fact. "Me'be i'm supposed to be cap'n some day. I was dah one born wit de hat, not ye'rself" it was an honest question. If the hat was a symbol of the captain, then she, who was born with it, would be the logical guess.

Brisote spat on the ground "Only men can beh cap'n not some feeble girl!" He pulled himself up to his full height "it beh bad luck fer a woman to be on ship, jest think 'ow bad o luck fer 'er tah be cap'n!" he sneered at his sister, sure he had won the argument... that is until he noticed a shadow looming over him and a barnicle covered peg leg landing on the ground inches from him, he looked up to see his father frowning down at him. ... he would have to get rid of his old man some how

"Brisote!" Davey bellowed "Yeh give yer sistah her hat backh! If eh be kind o nouff tah teach ya, yeh might ern yeh own!" He staired down his son who defiantly stared back. "Nowh!" he stomped his peg leg. "Or it beh to mah locker wit yah!"

Brisote pulled the hat off his head and let it fall to the floor before he walked off to be alone, but as a parting gift he pulled the tide in to cause a wave to douse all but him and his mother. He smiled to himself

Nenda picked her hat up, and placed it back upon her head, adjusting it to the way its supposed to be. Her eyes watched Bristole leave, and figured he would try something of the wave sort. She closed her eyes, and the wave parted on either side of her, Davey and Raistlin, not even daring to touch any of them. In her opinion, he was too head strung to be a captain. But, out of respect for her father, she said nothing about what her mind thought. " i wish ye luck fatha. I wish ye luck" she said calmly.

Raistlin, sighed, and relaxed. He lightly ruffled Nenda's hair. "Ye did good Yantimo" he said affectionately, and resumed his place in the background, watching Nenda.

"Aye" davey nodded, surprised by how mature his daughter was, especially compared to her brother, what a difference there can be in siblings, he shook his head.

Brisote never looked back so he didn't see if he hit his target or not, but we walked on to the edge of the beach and climbed the nearest tree to look out at the sea, sun shinning off the calm surface, salt wind brushing his face, sea gulls calling in the distance. That was where he belonged, that was his love and his home, he knew it. Why were they stuck on land? Why were they born with four legs rather than a fishes tail? The frustration built in him as he started out to see and with it he created a small hurricane circling a small maelstrom

Nenda, sat beside her father, watching her own part of sea. "Fatha, tell me 'onestly. Will Bris ever be cap'n? J'us because 'e is da only male born of Motha and ye'rself, means 'e will be ye'r heir" she asked, not taking her eyes off the sea. But at her next question, she looked up at him, her eyes were cloudy, un-able to be read. "Even if me, or one of me sista's is stronger den 'im. " If the answer were yes, she did not know what she would do. It would not be pleasant, that much she was sure of. It would not be for a while, that was true as well.

Davey gave a gruff at the question as if it were obvious, then thinking better of it, he picked up his daughter and placed her on his hat to peer out over the see from a better height. "An what makes ya believe eh be one tah die that an heir might be needin?" he chuckled. "Ney on mah boat I be cap'n and Tia beh mah first mate" he smiled though she could not see "Yeh youngin's might be getting yeh own ships tah cap'n some day if yeh be goot o nuff, but thar be long time aft yah be under mah command learnin from dah best." he nodded emphasis. "The sea beh free as we all must beh. Yeh wont beh part o mah crew forever. But while yeh are there only beh one cap'n ere an thats Davey Jones." he made sure his voice was in a soft enough tone to be soothing to his daughter yet loud enough to carry to his son

Brisote thought good, I'll captain my own ship, be free of the old man, and my ship will be better than an old leaky barnicle covered ship of his!

Shiva blinked at the words her sister said. They... kind of made sense, and she was pondering this until Bristole pounced her again and they were in another tussling match. She growled and snapped but realized until he won, he wouldn't leave her alone. She let him win, and watched the remainder of the tiff between him and Nenda.

Tia had no powers over the ocean, so she was glad when Bristole ensured she would not get wet. She did not like getting wet in the least. It would cause problems for her hair. Pulling Shiva back from the wave as well, she waited for the family to calm down before setting her back. "No one wants to learn da art of voodoo?"

Shiva did. The water annoyed her, as did the whole captain issue. "I don't want to know how to be a cap'n. I wanna stay on land." she stated clearly, not wanting to hurt her father's feelings but she really didn't like to get involved in the arguing over the stupid hat.

(*snickers* poor tia and shiva lol but how does Tia the goddess of the ocean not have control of the water? xd )

Brisote wouldn't mind learning voodoo too, anything to get ahead but he kept his distance in the trees for now

Davey didn't mind his children being ambitious but he hadn't planed on them being so competitive with each other, he wasn't quite sure how he felt about it, instead he moved closer to Tia to give her comfort

Nenda nodded softly, making herself content upon her fathers hat. "Dat be fair o nuff." she said in a gentle tone. As she looked out to sea, the waves began to churn, splashing and rolling back and forth, as if they could dance. She continued to watch the ocean dance, until her mother spoke. She turned her head, to her mother and other sister. Staying balanced upon Davey's head. "Aye motha, i be interested in learnin" she said with a light nod of her head. As soon as the turned her gaze from the ocean, it settled down, resuming its crystal like surface.

From the back of the group, Raistlin nodded, a smirk on his cowl. He paid no attention to the kit in the tree above him, but he kept an ear out for the fiesty kit. "Her mother will teach her voodoo, her father the ways of the sea, and i can teach her magic, and how to use it all together" he mused aloud.

"Seems we be havin a powerful family" Davey smiled and looked over his family, if the children could learn to work together they could be unstoppable.

Brisote didn't like this robed fellow teaching his hatted sister things that wouldn't be taught to him, it wasn't fair, brisote called a small snaking stream of water forth behind Raist's back. It was small enough to go undetected save for a wetting of the sand, once it streached under raists robes it pooled and built up soaking into his robes making them soggy heavy and covered in sand. Brisote chuckled

Raistlin, quirked an eyebrow at the little males, little trick. Slender gold fingers grabbed a pinchfull of powder from one of his many pouches. He blew on it, and it whooshed of in a gust of wind. It did not go far however, and circled up to cover Bristote in the fine powder. It was harmless, just made the little male glow pink, and crackle once in a while. The small male was born of watery magic, but Raistlin had extensive training over many different subjects. Years spent as a mage, and then further training as a war mage. He knew how to simply awe, how to annoy, and how to kill.

Brisote sneezed as the powder circled around him and when it clung to him he tried to shake it off but it clung.. no matter he'll simply wash it off in the oceanbe a bird he thought be a bird but looking at his feet told him he wasnt, he looked out at the sea where a seagull flew and wished his heart then. He felt lighter this time and looking at himself he saw orange webbed feet, he flew to the sea and dove in changing back as the water washed over him, wow so refreshing, why hadn't we been born in the sea... would have been so much nicer

"well ay beh" Davey watched as a seagull flew from where his son was perched and then dive into the sea and become his son once more. Davey smiled, they sure were powerful

Tia smiled at her mate and love. Truth was, she could have controlled the weather... but the sea would only have churned with the weather and she had no urge to deal with it at the moment. She smiled back at her children and was pleased that they all wanted to know what she had to teach. "Aye, and ye will all learn it..."

Shiva didn't see that she had much of these talents the others expressed, so she was determined to do the best at the voodoo. And it sounded like it would yield some interesting results...
