Aahz Antiklontermiddel Aahz Antiklontermiddel SlaughterGorey I have to pay 30$ for may string...Stupid 6 string basses... sweatdrop For one string or a set? I pay $100 for a 4-string set of Elixir strings. Then again, if you clean your strings often and let them soak in denatured alcohol once every 1,5 month, they'll last you close to a lifetime. I pay $50 for a five string elixer set. xd Local music shops are your friend. Damn you. =P Elixir strings have to be imported, hence the high price. Them Nanoweb strings are damn expensive, but I love them so much. Well, they do retail at about $95 or so where I live, but I get cheap s**t all the time from the local shop. Like a Perri's leather strap for $15. twisted Sorry I meant I pay 30$ for the whole set from a guy a no. He work for a record store that gets really great deals on things.

Where are you?Wow a conversation evolved over the time I was gone there, sorry I don't stop by often guys. Also, still haven't bought new strings yet, but I'll get them in April. *I'll have money by then.*
I'll just find a place that sells that kinda stuff, it'll be quite the drive from here, since I live out in the boonies. I'll ask someone there what I should get for my style of play. There you are...

I love Elixers, the damn things stay bright forever... wonderful strings. $40 for a 4 string set where I live, I was lucky enough to get 2 packs of em for $10 during a huge sale last fall! I don't think I'll ever use anything other than Elixers... I used to use DRs and they just feel so blah compared to thoe Elixers.

I ordered a set of heavy gauge Rotosound strings (RS 66LE), let's hope they'll pass the test. Elixir ruined most other stringbrands for me.

I'm a big fan of La Bella's now, got some Jamerson flats for my jazz and I don't think I'm going with anything else ever, at least not for that bass (since flats last forever anyway...).
