(I know! I will totally vouch that this is my most favorite Mother-son pairing EVER)
She chuckled and curled her tail around him, using her paw to pull him farther into the warm fur on her chest. Her purring grew even louder as he groomed her, and silently she vowed that she would do everything in her power to protect Kayne.
It amazed her how powerfully the felt about him, but then again, it only confirmed how much this small package meant to her.

[I'd so want to quest for a male Minya to pair with Bella so it could complete this happy little family. I think maybe I will if you'd be okay with that.]
"Hey momma," he murmured into her fur, glancing up at her. You could see just the small tinge of pink under his fur on his cheeks. There was a pause before he buried his face into her chest in embarrassment. "I love you, momma..."

Bella felt her heart stop, and at that moment she knew her world was complete. Using both front paws, she pulled Kayne tightly into her, nuzzling the small figure gently. "I love you too, my son. I love you with all my heart."

His initial embarrassment turned into pure joy. He nuzzled her fur, his ears pinned back with little happy sobs leaving his maw. This is what it was like. This is what it felt like to be loved. A moment after his sniffles, he purred again and curled his paws around her as best he could. There was no happier runt in the world.

At first, she panicked, thinking she had said something wrong and that her son was distressed over what she had said. His purrs soon reached her ears and she smiled, feeling his paws around her. Reliefe washed over her and she continued to hold him tightly.
"Have you been sleeping well, love?"

He nodded into her fur, content to stay just where he was clinging to her where he could hear her heart beating. "I've been sleeping okay," finally he murmured. "I have a new house-mate and she woke me up from time to time talking to herself... She's weird..."

She continued to groom the top of Kayne's head, wanting to keep him as content as possible. "Oh? You do now? What is she like that makes her so weird?"

"She talks to herself, she paces now-and-again, she seems to drift off in thought a lot, and then she just suddenly becomes grumpy. She's just... weird." He let off a small yawn, relaxing and resting in her paws. "She's nice to me though."

She smiled down at the poor thing, thinking of how tired he looked. "Well, if she ever is too much to handle, you are always welcome to come sleep with me." She rested her chin on the top of his head, purring softly.

He blushed a little again. Part of him wanted the independence of being able to do things on his own, but part of him wanted to be able to cuddle up in her arms and fall asleep. He chuckled at himself and resumed relaxing in her embrace. "If she keeps waking me up, you'll be the first I come to," he purred.

She tucked him further into her grasp, fully relaxing herself. This was the life; her, her son, and the deep bond they had. A mate would be nice, but it certainly didn't matter at this point. She was happy, and she prayed that Kayne was as well.

He yawned, his ears dipping back as he did so. The sound of Bella's heartbeat so close was like white-noise, making him relaxed. He buried his brow into her chest fluff, curling up more with a low purr.

She chuckled softly. "Why don't you take a little nap, Kayne, you seem very tired." She matched his purr with her own again, making sure it was quite enough that if Kayne did fall asleep, it wouldn't wake him.

"But I don't wanna," he half yawned, half whined. Of course, all the complaining in the world couldn't make his body stop from dozing off. Before long, he had slipped into a peaceful sleep, purring and kneading his paws into her soft fur.

Bella couldn't help but chuckle when he whined. She could tell that he was about to pass out. Once we was asleep, she rested her head next to his, closing her eyes and falling into a light sleeping stage as well. Her ears pricked at any sound, and she opened her eyes at one point when she heard a bird sing.
