Dude-LAP Juggolo_4_life Dude-LAP IndianapolisColtsFan Maybe Brian will come to Atlanta? eek That would be awesome... razz They need an offensive minded coach more. The Ravens' defense is somewhat decent, but their offense is now nothing. Billick is a defensive oriented coach. I've been hearing that Shotty might go to Baltimore, I've heard that Carol (USC) might go to Atlanta, I don't know the situations for the Redskins, Dungy may retire for the Colts, and Miami has recently hired Sparano as the new head coach. but do u think the falcons would hire a college coach again after what Bobby P did? Petrino wasn't that great of a college coach. He was overrated. Carol is a great college football coach, and may be able to work with the offense (mostly QB) to develop. Look what he's done with Leinart and Booty...Don't know how things will turn out, but Carol is best suited to stay back at USC. You should at least be a former NFL player/coach/coordinator, to have enough experience to be a head coach at this prestigious level. I would hire Pete Carol. He's had success in College as well as NFL. But i highly doubt him leaving USC, with the position they're in. lol. cool

I've also heard that it's one of the best atmospheres to coach in.

I agree with firing him but If i were the owner of the Ravens I would offer him a contract as a defensive coordinater because basically the identiy of the ravens is Brian Billick

Billick's firing was a bad choice, and may crumble their future defense. It would be an insult to offer a Super Bowl championship winning coach to a lesser coaching job, on the same team.

Any coach knows it's not about the money, but about the dignity and position. It would be an insult, such as Torre rejected less money for a one year contract. Way too little, a violation of his legacy, and he signed with the encouraging Dodgers.

Well put it this way. Offering him to be defensive coordinator would be a not-look-like-the-bad-guy way of firing him. He would have definitely been rejected. I'm sure he'll get an interview soon with another team in need of a coach.

Expecially when he would have no problem getting a head coaching position in most other places.
