Ineeko's rich brown eyes fell short as Yepa obviously distanced herself for a moment of thought, remembrance more than likely to a unfortunate event. The way she spoke, referring to her people, it was a careful subject but he found himself thinking her village had run into troubles, leaving her alone. He shook his head, how someone could be left alone was simply unimaginable for him.
"It's nice to meet you Lady Yepa. These Soquili, the horses here, there's many kinds but all are unique. I'm sure if you stay around these lands long enough you'll see quite a few types of Soquili, even ones with fins like the fish that live in the deep waters."
He laughed lightly, how odd he must seem to Yepa, she'd never seen a Soquili before with wings and now he was talking about ones with fins. She must think him crazy already. Rubbing the back of his head loosely he grinned,
"My favorite sights are the soquili families. Colts and Fillies with their parents and sometimes even grand and great grandparents, wonderful things to see. It's a nice place here, even if it is a little odd."

Wica's head had snapped back up making her mane wave to and fro in the sudden movement as she looked over toward the humans. Her wings fluffing out a bit, the tension in the air was starting to get her a bit edgy. Though she would rather flee then fight, even it it wasn't normally the right thing to do.
"Things so small can bluster anyone's curiosity." Wica agreed. "Also, those that I have come to know well call me Wica for short, if one wishes not to speak the whole thing." She giggled. "I have a brother, Penny. He's a silvery white like Father with swirls of brown over his coat." She nodded before turning toward the human.
Stepping away from the Usdia, Wica paced back over toward the humans, Her head held high and noble as any horse would, her wings pressed tightly to her side. Stopping a couple steps away, Wica watched them both before stepping over toward the male and sniffed at him, her golden eyes watching the female. To her humans were such fascinating creatures... When they weren't scaring the wits out of her...

Her eyes widened at the mention of the finned horses. "How is that even possible! Never have I seen animals mixed as these animals are told to be... It must be black magic!" Just then, Wica drew closer. She sniffed at Ineeko, her great nostrils twitching, blowing hair into his face. Yepa gave a small scream, and without a moment's hesitation, turned and ran.

Wica backed away from the man as the female turned and ran. What was up with his human? It wasn't like she was going to harm her, Wica couldn't. Head drooping a bit, her ears fell back in a submissive fashion as she watched the human. Couldn't she do anything right? Apparently not, when everyone seemed to run away from her...
Turning her golden eyes toward the male human again she shook her head as she sighed, her wings unfolding and just hanging at her sides. It was funny though, she could make friends with just about anyone, but one human who looked at her as if she was a kalona. They weren't that nice, her father had found that out when he was just a foal he had once said. Even if the kalona kept by him while he slept.
"What is wrong with me? Why does she still flee?" Wica asked louder then she had wanted soon tuning her gaze toward the cloudless skies over head. "It's like I'm not... Me..."
Again turning her head in the direction of the human's flight, Wica merely stood there. Watching the female's ever shrinking figure until it was just a dot then nothing. She dared not follow, she didn't know if it would matter... The human would only be running from her like a prey would if they say a predator, she wished the human well as she turned away from the male, still looking a bit... Droopy.

Ineeko stood, a little stunned. He'd known she might not take exceptionally kindly to the fact of hearing things like horses with wings and fins, but this reaction of running took him back. Never had he seen a girl run so fast, Yepa truly was afraid of the Soquili.
"Lady Yepa!"
His voice was normally deep but his yelling this loud gave him a little higher pitch. There was no use running after the girl, she was clearly not going to return to a place with things she was frightened of. Shaking his head the man scratched the back of his head and turned to look at the winged mare, she obviously didn't take to happily to Yepa being afraid of her. He smiled kindly and stepped to the side, giving Karishma a quirky smile.
'Oh...alright then. Lets see if I can help,'
The pinto female knew all too well her companion's look. It meant that things had gone down hill, as if it wasn't apparent already. She smirked, how blind did he think she was? Giggling in the back of her mind Karishma took a serious look on her face as she galloped quickly after the human girl. Thankfully her running with snitch had given her the ability to keep a pace for a fair distance, as she went along she noted to keep a safe distance from the scared girl, god only knew how she'd react if she noticed the Usdia mare following her.
"She didn't mean to hurt your feelings girl. She's just a little flighty,"
Ineeko moved a little closer to the winged mare, making sure to come by her side and not her hind in case she kicked. It was easy to see she was distressed. A gentle smile curled around his lips as he pressed them together, determined to try and befriend another creature, even if they couldn't speak. Carefully he placed one of his hands on her side, the man's body was tense and wary, after all...soquili kicks hurt and he knew nothing about how this mare was.

Raising her head but a little, she watched the Usdia charge after the fleeing human, she hoped all would end well. Though at the moment she didn't feel like she should have been there, her presence was the one that scared the human, perhaps she shouldn't have stopped. It seemed that would have been best if her wonder of the human world didn't draw her close like a moth to the fire, sorta speak.
Shaking her head Wica looked toward the human that had remained behind, her ears turning a little to catch his voice, the words he spoke she didn't know their meaning. Her golden eyes almost seem to gleam as if she were going to cry, it seemed that it was her fault that the human fled, even if she did appear, 'Flighty'.
Flighty, that was what Wica was as well, though in a different sense she guessed. She barely moved when the male came closer to her and placed a hand on her side. Turning her head to meet his face, she shook the long bangs from her own face in order to see more clearly. Humans such strange creatures, so full of different emotions much like her own kind. Though they had more ways to express them then she did.
Lifting her wings back up from where they had hung, Wica lifted her head back up to seemed proud even though her pride was a bit dented by what happened. She had to do something, may she could help the female human not be scared of her? No, that would take a miracle and Wica wasn't a miracle worker, she was just... Wica.

As Yepa noticed the Soquili following her, she screamed. Without minding her own safety, she let herself fall to the ground. Trembling, she curled up into a ball, hugging her knees. She hoped the grass would hide her.
((Sorry guys, gotta work for the next four days... I may be slow to respond.))

The man nodded calmly, this mare was no threat to himself or Yepa, yet she was clearly afraid of her. There wasn't much of a way to explain the Soquili with wings, but perhaps if he could persuade the girl to think of them more as bringers of good things, relating them to good things found in nature might sway her outlook, but then again who knew...this was all only going to happen if Karishma was successful in calming Yepa. He knew all too well that his companion couldn't speak to humans, however she was easy going and fairly relaxed, along with being persistent. Smiling Ineeko pet the winged mare gently for a moment before dropping his hand to his side and watching out to where the two ran off,
"I think they'll be back...."
He shrugged and blinked, pondering just where they'd gotten off to so quickly.
Karishma's ears pinned to her head as she tensed up at the sound of the human's scream, she certainly did have one heck of a set of lungs to her. None the less the mare's human had asked something of her, and this was to be done quickly if it was to be done at all. Sheepishly the pinto mare approached to where she'd last seen the human girl. Not knowing quite where to look made the female noticibly afraid, but determination to deliver on her nod to her human made it possible. As her muzzle poked through a bit of long grass it instantly took in the strong scent of the girl, seconds later her blue eyes fell upon the human. Curled up like a bug, quivering strangely, the girl sat uncomfortably in the grass...what a odd creature.
Slowly Karishma stepped towards the girl, her eyes were soft, her expression was warm. There was no way to speak kindly to this human, instead she would try what she'd seen one of the other creatures' actions to coax her back to the others. As she got close enough the mare nuzzled the girl, nickering softly, hoping she wasn't quite as violent as she was scared.

Turning her head just a bit she looked back toward the human who seemed the calmer of the two that were just there. He seemed nicer then other humans, well besides the female that had just fled because she had come over to greet the male. There had been something about her hurting others, but she couldn't hurt anything besides maybe the flies that would flock in the warm times perhaps.
A scream pulled her from her thoughts. Ears stranding straight up, her head snapped toward the distant scream. Stepping forward she took it back, she didn't know if she could go after the other human. Shaking her head she pawed at the ground before nudging at the male gently with her nose. Wondering if he had heard it too, she hoped he had, he had heard the other cry before from a great distance. In any case, Wica didn't think she could head toward the scream alone, it would only mean more disaster...

Yepa trembled violently as the mare drew nearer. More flashes of her childhood were brought to mind. She let out a soft cry, more mournful than loud. Then slowly she allowed herself to uncurl. She was a great warrior, she would not allow a creature to frighten her so. Did she not chase down deer and bear alike?
Gently Yepa rose to her feet, yet with all her comforting herself, she still was frightened. Perhaps these were not the same as horses? Did not the man named Ineeko say they were soquili? Thus she stood still finally, her blue eyes lost some of their wild look.

Ineeko nodded his head solemnly, he knew the scream had meant that Karishma had located Yepa. It made the winged mare uncomfortable, as it would, she had better hearing than any human. But she seemed to want to help, her discomfort seemed to turn into impatience. The Indian smiled at the mare before turning his head to where he'd heard the ear wrenching noise, if she'd already been startled by Karishma there was no use in just standing here. He too wanted to know what was going on, patting the strange mare's neck he looked out onto the meadow in the direction the human girl had ran off.
"We'll follow,"
Knowing this mare wouldn't understand his language he pointed and then as he lowered his arm he simply started walking. It was a quick pace, but not running as he figured seeing the mare running towards her might frighten Yepa even more.
The Usdia mare stopped in her tracks stood there like a stone. The human girl was certainly much taller than she'd first appeared to be, and now that she also wasn't quite as jumpy she seemed a little more threatening. None the less Karishma figured this was what her companion wanted her to do, if the girl was to make friends with others she'd soon have to accept the presence of Soquili like herself and Wica, there were after all, worse things to be seen. Even a Soquili could be dark and filled with a devilish soul, but the two mares this woman had just met were quite the opposite. She didn't have reason to be as frightened as she had been, but that was hopefully beyond her now.
Blinking Karishma nickered lightly, playfully smiling. Hopefully this would show she wasn't quite as much of a monster as the human appeared to think.

An ear twitched as she caught the sounds of the male's voice saying something. Turning her head she looked somewhat 'down' at him as he soon started walking toward the scream. Setting one hoof before the other, she walked behind him, though soon broke into a slight trot. Her mane rippling over her neck and shoulders. Her long tail barely whipping behind her as it tried to keep out of places it could get tangles.
Slowing her pace as she could see the other human standing again. Wica could also see the usdia the male had sent after the other. Shaking her head, Wica came to a stop a distance away from the pair, her head still high, her ears alert. She couldn't help but watch, though she did keep an ear on her surroundings as this wasn't exactly familiar territory to her, it was very... Unknown.
Stepping forward just a bit, she came slightly closer, but minded to keep enough distance that it wouldn't frighten the female human. Wica had to be careful, very careful...

Yepa winced slightly as the mare nickered, but the fear was nothing compared to before. So she stood there, gazing at the beautiful soquili. No horse she had ever seen was quite so pretty. Perhaps these WEREN'T horses at all... perhaps they were creatures made by the gods. That was bound to be it! Horses with wings and fins? No, that made no sense... yet creatures made by the creators with wings and fins? Yes, that was quite understandable. In fact, she was sure there was various other ones too, maybe with other outstanding characteristics.
As Ineeko and the winged mare approached, Yepa didn't stir. She allowed them to come to her. She and the mare stood just outside the forest and the shades was nice here. Thus she allowed them to come, her eyes all but losing their wild frightened look.

"Karishma, c'mere"
Ineeko smiled, he looked towards Yepa with his muddy brown eyes, knowing that even if fear was still in her it wasn't the same as before. She had been able to handle both of the Soquili around her, that was a start, now to just get that look out of her eyes. They were beautiful and looked like the clearest river's water, but with even a hint of fear in them, those Soquili that didn't have the purest of thoughts would make problems for her. He hadn't yet told her of the skinwalker myths and the kalona's...he would save that for another time.
Trotting over happily to her human companion Karishma knew her name, it was the only thing she could truly understand from him. She nickered and bobbed her head, hitting her muzzle to his hand. She stood, looking over to Wica,
"I don't think the human girl is quite as scared any more."
As he watched Yepa's stance, she was a firm woman, that would serve her good in the future. With his voice deep but friendly he looked at the two Soquili and then back to Yepa,
"Are you alright?"

Wica stood watching the female human, her ears mostly staying forward, but from time to time, one or the other would flick to the side or back. listening to the distant sounds around that that maybe the humans couldn't hear. Such as the slightest movements in the grass of a small bird perching upon a tree branch over head. Whatever the reason her liquid gold eyes didn't shift from the humans.
Well they did when the usdia spoke toward her direction. Head turning and her gaze dropping, Wica gave a nod, though she didn't quite move from where she stood. It did appear that the human wasn't as scared, maybe she was coming to understand that most their kind could be trusted? Most meaning not the Kalonas and the Skinwalkers of legend. She heard that they weren't too likable.
Letting a termer rack down her back. her wings opened just a bit. Soon the just stretched them high over her head, the muscles having been a but cramped in the long extent of being at ease. Turning her head back toward the humans, she folded her wings once more against her back and sides before finally speaking softly.
"As it would seem, but there's a look about her that is still doesn't look right. Like she's forcing herself to just stand there. I would approach, again, but I don't wish to spook her again to fleeing where my wings won't let me go." She sighed speaking of the trees. They looked too close for her to get through without damaging her wings...
