Ha ha. Guess I am too. I'm like a winged wolf... I have a wolf 'spirit' like form that I can feel but it feels like I have wings on an almost physical level. I can feel them most when it rains...

I don't use the term "furry" but yeah. I believe everyone has wings. Most just don't realize it.

wow...yall dont evn kno wut furries are do u?! it has nuttn to do with stuff like that...well....not exactly at least.... rolleyes

I actually do know what you are talking about but please enlighten those who don't. I fear if I tried I'd only bring further confusion. Explaining things is not exactly one of my strong points.

alright a furry life styler is someone who actually believes that their fursona (animal alter ego) is their inner spirit and they are just trapped in a human shell (most times) and live their lives with tail and ears or in fursuits....(thats me) and other furs could just be furry fans or furry RPrs.....and some who just have an animal type self mascot.....but ppl who just draw anthro characters or RP as an animal and dont relate with it arent furry...for example....my mate loves animals and anthros....acts like a dog most of the time....but isnt a furry because he doesnt have a fursona or animal alter ego he is constantly relating to sweatdrop im bad at these types of exp. but i hope this clears things up

The way I believe lycanthropy to work is more like having the "spirit" of the animal. Some that I have talked to have their dreams dominated by dreams of becoming certian animals, and some claim they can stay warmer and don't wear jackets in cooler weather because of their "phantom" shifts. Not so much taking on physical characteristics of the animal but more their aura takes on the form of the animal and the "phantom" fur keeps them warmer.

I have talked to a lot of people in Christian chat rooms and they have almost unanimously agreed that this is "evil". Do you believe it is?

I agree. I know people who claim the same thing. But as far as being evil, I do not agree.

I was curious if there would be a topic like this in here.
Personally I dont think Lycanthropes or Furries are evil.
I know quite a few christians who are Lycanthropic and keep it to themselves in fear of being persecuted, much like a witch burning in the 1600's only no a days without the literal fire. Its all verbal torching.
Just because they think differently and feel differently doesnt mean they are evil and love God any less.

But I have to beg to differ on the differences... Though Lycanthropes and Furries both have animal-thought mentalities, that doesnt make every lycan a furry.

In fact I find being called a furry insulting :/ No offense to those that are one. I just very much am not.

Update:

I'm actually not a furry, I'm a therian. I have a fragment of 'me' that is wolf. And a very small piece that is raven. (hence the wings)

A therian is similar to a furry... but different... lets see what wikipedia says:

"Therians are people who believe that they have an intrinsic, personal, and integral connection to (an) animal(s). That is to say that part of their core being is animal, be it spiritually, mentally, et cetera.

Unlike furry lifestylers, therians do not try to outwardly project their animalistic nature, nor do they choose the animal side they are inherently born with. Therians may also be called "shifters", though this can be a contentious term as a growing number feel they do not actually change from one state to another and more reflect a human-animal state by having an animal soul and a human body."

So... yeah. In that sense i do think there are 'were creatures'. I am not sure that p-shifting (physical shifting) is possible. But I do think God endows some of us with 'animalistic' traits to form our individual personalities and serve his purpose.
