"Buuyuujuuscaamin." He retorted as best he could around the pail, that and he had actually known exactly where it was, so it was less outside time for him. However, he wasn't about to argue the point any further than his really messed up 'But you just came in' point.

The butterfly watched her make her attempt to scramble up onto the counter, before he wandered to her side and flopped onto his stomach, offering for her to sit on his back, so then he could stand up and get her closer to the counter.

Afterall, it would be a bit of a joined effort to put water in the can anyways, so he figured it would probably be easier for her to get up there this way than it would be for his big bulky self to take himself out in the process.

Setting the watering can down for a moment, he asked: "Care for a boost up?"

"That'd help,." She gave a tinly laugh, and took the offer gratefully.
Stepping carefully on his back, careful to not hurt him, she hoisted herself up onto the counter with some effort.
"Oof! Okay!," She said, prancing over to the sink's lever-like knob, paw posed to press it. "Iiiiii'm ready!"

she waited for him to get the pail in place, before pressing the knob, and letting the water flow, and fill the can.

Lawrence sat himself up against the counter, pail in tow, before clumsily dropping it in the sink, reaching over with a paw to adjust it into it's proper placement and pulling his paw away when he found it suitably placed.

"Mmkay, it's good to go!" he chimed and stared at the water as it slowly filled up the can, his tails wagging a bit. For some reason, this was much more exciting when it wasn't just him. Then again, perhaps company made most anything, even this odd chore, exciting.

"There aren't that many plants in here, but it seems as though nobody really thought to water them before. Not like they were dying, but... I dunno, it didn't really seem like something most others would think about." he said, explaining -why- he'd gone and asked if she'd wanted to water them with him.

"Like there's that one..." he pointed at the windowsill above the sink to her where a single potted plant sat, before he quickly added "And that's a good amount of water there."

"Some people just don't appreciate the plants like they should!" She said, feeling some what sad for the plants - they never did anything wrong, but people ignored them anyway. How sad.

"They must be really happy to finally have someone to care for them!" she chimed, asshe pulled the knob back to stop the flow of water, looking at the plant on the windowsill.

"How we gonna get that one?" Paisley asked. Lifting the pail that high was out of the questiong,..the water just made it too heavy!

"I'm sure they're happier to have someone to appreciate them!" he replied, though Lawrence wasn't exactly a 'plant whisperer', so he wasn't sure if the plants were thinking anything, really. But that's how he imagined it being.

Her question did bring a bit of thought from Lawrence, though. The water in the pail was heavy, so it would either take the both of them to lift it up that high, or..

"Well, I could climb up there and help water it, we could bring the plant down to the water, or we can go water the others and then come back to it when the pail is lighter and can be lifted easier." he suggested, wondering if he had any other ideas on how they could water that plant...

But those were the only three he could think of right then.

"This window's a bit drafty!" She said, wrinkling her nose. "I'll bring it down and we can find someplace better for it!" She said, shifting the plant till it sat on the edge of the sill, then balancing it, shakily, on her head and praying it didn't fall.
With a bit of a clang from the ceramic pot, she placed it on the counter, before jumping off, and nosing it to the edge again, where she resumed her balancing act.

"ooooookay! Time to make some plants happy! Aaaaand to find this lil guy a home!" Paisley said, bright and cheerily as ever.

"That sounds like a fine idea!" Lawrence agreed, and while Paisley performed her balancing act with the plant, the butterfly put some effort into getting the pail out of the sink, nearly dropping it onto himself, but instead only dumping about a face-full of water onto his face, causing his fur to drip and his face to make a sort of a DX expression.

Which in and of itself was pretty amusing.

Once he got the pail onto the floor, he turned to help Paisley balance the plant. "Any ideas on where to put it?" he inquired, using one paw to keep the plant from teetering too horribly in one direction.

After he asked, he picked the pail up again, nearly falling face forward from the weight of the water, before catching himself and sitting up as straight as possible.

"Think it would get too warm beside the fireplace?" she asked, and she would have tilted her head, however that would have meant dumping the plant, and that was diffnately not something she wanted to do! Though, giggling slightly almost resulted in that.

"Well, it needs sunlight, so maybe in the living room by the window? 'cause then it'll be facing the sun as much as possible and that would make it happy!" Lawrence piped, dropping the water pail again for a moment to speak, then scooping it right back up.

After that, he got up to go head towards the living room to show her the place he meant, sitting in the middle of the carpet and nodding towards the window. It was just such a nice and shiny little window that any plant would have liked it there.

At least in Lawrence's opinion. And he was a butterfly, he kinda had a thing for flowers in the least, so he tended to know what the plants wanted to an extent.

Again, he wasn't the plant whisperer.

"Okay!" she said elcitedly, and rushed over to the window as fast as she could while not dropping the plant. Placing it on the designated sill, she took a few steps back and observed.
"Yep! You were right! It looks happier already!" she gave a large nod.

Now, to make the rest of the plants happy! It was nice to know, that though everything outside was dead, bland, and dreary, life still went on in the warm confinds of the HQ. It made Paisley a very happy bobtail!
