there are campaigns you can use on a D&D website somewhere, all you do is tweak them to fit what you want in the game. to make one yourself is a huge thing to do, most people don't have the will/time to create one. as for the classes, you could break them down by specialization rather than personal choice ((stealth-pixi,tank-dwarf kind of thing)) or just say to hell with it. ((love my ninja pixi)) I would love to join, but I am more of a vocal RP'er than a written one. oh! I would not mind helping if you need it.

well, I could use help coming up with beasties and equipment.

See, the thing is, I am one of those people that has the willpower to create one. XD
May not have the time to spare, but I am not above throwing another activity out the window to work on it.

For that matter, I could use some existing items on gaia and fill out their history and powers/stats
Like the sword of Aegis or the flame sword for example.

EDIT: yeah, I've decided that all of the SPECIAL items will be items from gaia. If it is not a special then it is just stuff like "Iron Sword lv2" or Steel Sword etc.
I'll whip up a regular form explaining stats for regular equipment and materials/levels. That way I won't have to construct a HUUUUUUUGE amount of equipment.
So remember folks, only special weapons/armor will be stuff from Gaia, so everybody, GET POSTING WHAT YOU'D LIKE ME TO ADD! biggrin

PS: The species you can play will be Gaian, Elven, Zurg (sort of), and Undead. It'll all be posted in the "How to make your character" post.
Woo... gonna have a few posts with the info you need, but it will be worth it, yeah?

It'll be about 50/50 steampunk and traditional swords and sorcery.

The steampunk will be stuff like airships and trains (though both are rare) and electricity in cities. Really I have my own version of how the steam is produced. Its a lot like how a nuclear reactor works. Basically high energy magic crystals are suspended in a pool of water, which heats up and the steam turns a turbine which generates electricity. The water is then condensed on the outside and funneled back into the pool.
Neat huh? I actually worked out this formula for a book I am working on.

Past those little achievements, we don't have a full scale industrial revolution yet. So a lot of blacksmiths still make swords by hands, a lot of scribes still hand write scrolls, and etc etc. So really it breaks down that the steampunk affects the little amenities and niceties a lot like how aqueducts make a more civilized society. Also, a few clockwork servants or guardians.

Alright everyone, this is a mock up I did of the Barbarian class sheet. What do you guys think?


The barbarian is seen as the archetypal warrior who uses brute strength and raw fury to excel in combat, instead of the honed skills of the Fighter. Of all the classes, only the barbarian begins illiterate and is forced to expend extra skill points in order to read and write.

The Barbarian is ideal if you want to fight without regards to defense. Their automatic suspicion skill means that they will not suffer a turn preparing after an attack.


Level 1
Weapons: Clubs and Swords
Power: 4 +1.5x
Defense: 4 +x
Intelligence: 2 +x
Speed: 3 +x
Accuracy: 2 +x
Life: 40 +2x
Magic: 15 +1.5x

Starting Skill Points- 12
Starting Stat Points- 12

Starting Skills:
Rage- +3 POW, DEF, SPD/ 3 turns but fatigued for the rest of battle. 3 SP
Suspicion- when an ambush is sprung, the character is not taken by surprise 5 SP
Reflex- +2 DEF, SPD permanent 6 SP
Feral Alert- Higher awareness 3 SP
Sprint- When running straight ahead, moves faster than the enemy 5 SP
Heavy Weapon- Allows to use a large weapon without penalty 4 SP
Healing Factor- Regains HP twice as fast when rested 6 SP
Reading- Literacy 3 SP
Natural affinity- able to observe nature and halves the weather condition penalties 2 SP
Tracking- able to track better than other members of the party 4 SP
Leatherwork- Able to make Leather Armor 1 SP


Intermediate Skills:
Fury- An enhancement for Rage. Double Rage's effect. 6 SP
Resistance- doubles ability to resist status changing effects 9 SP
Endurance- Able to withstand hunger/fatigue twice as long 11 SP
Intermediate Tracking- Able to track better 7 SP
Elemental Defense- Able to half damage of 1 of the 4 elements. (may be purchased as many times as needed) 5 SP

Adept Skills:
Berserker- Triples Rage's effects. 12 SP
Iron Body- Halves all damage by foes at the same level or 10 higher. May be used once for every level gained. 15 SP
Elemental Null- May nullify one element's effect on player. (purchased only once) 17 SP
Noble Demeanor- +5 Int and Acc (permanent) 10 SP


You use the Stat points you start with, and assign as many as you want to any of the stats you want to increase. Those are the "x" in the above equations.
As for the stats, if Acc. is higher than Spd. Its automatically a hit.
If Pow is higher than Def. then an attack is full power. If Def. is higher, then the difference is taken off the damage.

For the Skill points, you get an additional 4 for every level you go up.

Well everyone, better start writing your backstories. I already have a general idea for a story campaign and I only need to work up all the proper forms.


Just so you can get an idea of what you want to do, these will be the classes and you should take the online alignment test.
