Shortly after Lace's fall from grace, Tuuli followed shortly thereafter, narrowly missing crashing into the other kit. Needless to say, she, too, was quite offended at this show of complete disregard for royalty, and, despite the fact that she would be getting herself into more trouble, the perma-kit shook a paw at the chattering squirrel.
"You may run, but you shall never escape!" the blue female called after the bushy tailed creature, attempting to climb after him, "It is far too late for such things now, not when you have committed such a dire offense! In the name of...of...of my kingdom, I shall see that you have been brought to justice! To arms, Lady Lace!"
In the meantime, a certain illusionist stood under the tree, having been bothered by this commotion.

Slipping down to the branch after yet another attempt to climb up after the squirrel, Lace frowned, sitting on her haunches. This was getting a little boring. She peered up at the monster, who had bounded out of sight and away from the two apparently crazy kits.
Lace sighed and her eyes flickered down the tree. "Who is that?" She said abruptly, pointing at the black-coated kitsu.

B-but...the squirrel was an enemy of the state! And needed to be punished, if not executed! How could one even think of a pardon at this time!?
"Who's what?" Tuuli inquired, frowning; what happened to her call to arms? Squinting, the blue perma-kit glanced where Lace was pointing, not entirely sure who that was. She did, however, recognize what the hat entailed, or at least implied, and, thus, a new enemy was made.
"Lady Lace!" she cried, "That is the evil witch! Working in conjunction with the evil king, no doubt! To arms, Lady Lace! Let us work with the element of surprise!"
The 'evil witch', in the meantime, did her best to attempt to ignore the two kits in the tree above her, as there were more important things to do, such as figuring out what this world was and where the nearest exit was located.

Well, for once, this was getting troublesome. Although if Lace saw that squirrel ever again, she would be sure to punish it. To the best of her ability, of course.
"An evil witch?" Lace echoed, a little confused at first. Then she snapped back into her 'play-acting'. "Why, she must have sent the monster then! And who is this evil king, may I inquire?"

Well, fine, then :< Tuuli would allow the pardoning of the squirrel for now, as there was a new addition to the game, but, in the future, that bushy tailed rodent was going to pay for throwing those nuts at her and Lace.
"Indeed, Lady Lace!" Tuuli agreed, nodding, "Excellent thinking on your behalf! As for the evil king?"
The kit broke character momentarily, tails swaying to and fro as she attempted to decide who, indeed, was the evil king. "Um...that's..."
"The evil king is none other than Saix, of course!" the female announced, "Whom also is the evil dragon, as he is a master of disguise."
"But let us not concern ourself with such a matter at the time!" she continued, "Evil is afoot, and no doubt that the witch shall execute her evil plans if we do not put a stop to them! Prepare yourself, my lady, for this is no time to be unprepared!"

Lace nodded at this compliment, and tried to take a closer look at the other kitsu. "Saix." She repeated. "Why, this vile wizard shall have to be shown the power of justice!" Not that she knew who Saix was of course, but still.
The grey kit crouched down, pink-tipped tails waving. "Why, we must ambush her then!" She was certainly ready for this!

"For Kitsu-kind everywhere," Tuuli began, "No accursed villain shall be allowed to roam free around the kingdom!"
This caught the attention of Xianthe, or, uh, the evil witch, who glanced upwards at the two kits, wondering why they wouldn't shut up already. Why, if she had half a mind herself, and knew how to climb trees in this form, she'd be up there herself, knocking some sense into them.
"Ambush it is, then!" the blue female agreed, "Attack! We have been spotted! It is time to take action now, before she gets away!"
And with that, Tuuli lept down from the branch she had been perched on, ready to tackle the 'witch' as best as a perma-kit like herself could do.

Lace narrowed her eyes in disgust. If she ever came across this Saix, he would get it from her! Hah!
...Of course, he'd probably ignore the little kit's claims that he was an evil king, and be even more pissed off as usual. But then again, he was always in a grumpy mood these days.
Lace obliged, leaping down after Tuuli. "Halt, evil witch!"

Okay, what? What was the deal with this evil witch thing? Admittedly, she was currently wearing her black mage hat from her Halloween Town outfit, something that could resemble a witch's hat, but just where did these two runts get off on calling her a witch?
Hissing and spouting curses in her native language, the illusionist did her best to fend off the surprise attack, successfully keeping Tuuli away from any exposed skin, only to have the blue kit cling to her jacket. This meant war, oh yes, it did.
And sure, the odds were a tad unfair, what with her being bigger than the two of the kits combined, but they asked for it, now did they not? Summoning her wand, the Nobody swung it in a random direction, hoping to make contact with the other kit before she did any damage.

Well, firstly the two kits had imaginations that were a tad too big for their size. Really, it was hard to tell who was crazier, Tuuli or Lace.
Landing on Xianthe's hat, Lace hissed, clinging on with her paws as the 'witch' swung around with her staff in her hand. "Princess Tuuli!" She yelled, bracing herself. "Take care, for the evil witch has her wand! Who knows what horrors she can bring?"

They were both insane, simply put; they just happened to also encourage the other in their actions.
"Get off me!" Xianthe ordered, trying to pry Tuuli off of her coat, "What do you think you're doing?"
She swung her staff a bit more, her field of vision slightly obscured now that Lace had landed on her had, which had tilted back in front of her face. Really, now; here she had been, minding her business, and suddenly these banshee or whatever kits were declaring war on her, calling her a witch, that stuff.
"I shall, Lady Lace, I shall!" Tuuli called back, trying to climb up Xianthe's back, "Take heed not to be turned into a newt, yourself!" she warned.

"Shut up, ye evil witch!" Lace warned, holding on tightly with er paws. Hah! She had obstructed the witch's vision! Now it would be easier to take her captive.
"I will!" The pink kit hollered, her ears pinned back. "We must, somehow stop her!"

"I'm not a witch, furball!" Xianthe retorted, attempting to remove Lace from her hat, "You and your friend are the evil ones!"
The illusionist made a mental note to herself that when this was over, she was going to be checking all trees she decided to stand under from now on, to make sure there were no insane kits lying in wait.
"Lies!" Tuuli declared, scrambling onto the hat as well, "This witch is merely trying to trick us with her words, so that we may let down our guard!"

"Oh really?" Lace shot back, clinging on to Xianthe's head. "Then what's with your magic wand? Eh?" At the insult of being called "evil", Lace gasped in indignation, curling a tail around the witch's neck.
"Do not worry, Princess! I will not be taken in by the witch's lies!"

It'd taken a lot of flailing and reaching around, but Xianthe, after a good moment of struggling, managed to grab both kits by their tails, holding them upside down in front of her for good measure.
"I," she informed them, "Am an illusionist. Despite any preconceived notions whatever whacked up cult you probably belong to fed you, I am not a witch."
Witches were all hideous-looking, anyways, or at least that was what the ones back in Halloween Town looked like. Xianthe was sure there were worlds out there in which this wasn't the case, but, really, she could care less, and, thus, in her opinion, witches had nothing on a skilled illusionist like herself.
Even if the staff was for decoration purposes only.
Tuuli, in the meantime, was horribly unconvinced by what obviously was yet another of the evil witch's tricks, and, mustering the strength, swung herself back onto Xianthe's arm, biting her hand.
