O= AAHH awesome lol though as of marching season Im on piccolo... I miss my flute but whenever I pick it up now.. ITS SO HUGE!! ::Yeah, I play flute all year round.::
I don't like the piccolo personally.
I think the director will want me to play it though...
What with being first chair concert season and section leader marching season and all.
>.< lol, well.. we had one piccolo player and then she graduated last year, and for the music we have our BD wanted as MANY piccolos as he could get. Right now there are 6 and one switchs between flute and pic. because she doesnt have her pic. yet and has to borrow someones. ::What's your theme for this season?::

I'm a freshman, so we can only be in Concert Band (however, if you make it, you can get to jazz band).

But we call it just wind ensemble, no wood 3nodding yeah, he said wood wind at first =/ dont know why, we have brass and percussion in there too.. omg you're so lucky!!!! we don't have a brass our percussion owns though, our percussion BD writes songs for them that are AMAZING if i can find video footage, i'll post a link. it's a show and a song. just the song isn't enough 3nodding

We have three bands, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic, and Concert. That's for concert season, really. During marching the band you're in only determines the part you play.
Screwed around at my audition and found myself at second chair Symphonic. I was Section Leader last year at my 9/10th grade school. :C Ah well, after hearing everyone I've determined I'm going to make 2nd chair Wind Ensemble at the mid-year retrials, if my judgments are right. We'll see. gonk

DaisukiTsubasa So this is the first year that my school has had it. This class is the "best of the best" in our school supposably. hmmm I hope it turns out good. actually I hope I can do it, Im taking all hard classes this year so *cross's fingers* lol oh by the way I play flute/piccolo and Im a Junior but who else has even heard of it? Just wanting to know ya, we have one, its like an honor band for the people who want to play and not screw around. the cool thing is, you get a cd of the whole thing when you do your last concert, and it sounds like and accual GOOD band! well, im a freshman and my best friend is in it, and thats what it sounded like. i can't wait, cuz all the flutes i know suck, or they don't care they play, its sorta depressing, but i have SOOOO much to look forward to! wishing the best of luck to all the band nerds, geaks, and freaks... over and out... i made wind ensemble on my second tryout.
the first time i totally freaked out and screwed up.
but the second time, i somehow managed to keep my nerves under control, and had the best audition in my life.
my best friend, on the other hand, didn't practice the music at all, auditioned (without knowing the music, mind you), expected to get in, didn't, didn't want to try out again because she thought the reason she didn't get in was because the spots were full, saw i got in the second time, and got all pissy and is mad at me about it.
so yeah.
i hate people who think they're so good that they don't need to practice anything. =/

I just into my schools Wind Ensemble this year. I'm excited since I have some good friends in that class and the kids in it actually want to play music.

My high school didn't have a Wind Ensemble, but my college does.
Problem is, I don't know if I'm playing percussion or flute in it........ sweatdrop
