Ness laid on the snow. It felt so relaxing even though she seemed to find her mind pulled to more serious thoughts than she preferred. "Oh.. a crush.. like when someone's smile makes you blush... or... you like another numa a lot.. but not enough to want to be their mate forever."
Ness also considered. Here this numa was having fun with her. All by herself.. she didn't seem tied down by having a mate and children. She wondered... Maybe she had been chiding away her feelings. Considering this, Ness felt like Mysidia was really a numa she could look up to.

No, Mysidia never felt tied down by her mate and pups. She loved them far too much. Yes she missed them when they were not there yet at the same time she never felt too far from them. Of course she could always do with more time with her mate.
Still she always enjoyed the here and now. Although right now, the chocobo female was plenty confused. "Blush?" Had she ever blushed for Ryuune? Mys was pretty sure he had blushed for her. Her son Naoki blushed all the time, but Mys did not know of him having anything like this 'crush' on any of the numas he had met. "I don't kweh know much about doing that... but kweh liking other numas lots? Like kweh very good friends?"
Okay, so everyone was friends to Mysidia. But she did understand how some could be better friends than others. If that only meant you saw them more often.

Ness looked up at the sky. Where had the day gone? Maybe time was just whizzing by since they had so much fun sliding and making snow angels. Ness smiled, and her mind traveled to the thoughts of ice cream and a warm bath. She thought about her human arriving with reinforcements for her poor freezer which was nearly devoid of ice cream pints.
She got up and dusted herself off. "Well, it was great to meet you Mysidia. I should be getting home now. I wanna be there when my human comes back. She's bringing more ice cream today... I think." She kept flapping her tail out, trying to get all the white off her tail. Apparently, she'd need a good bath to get it all out.

The chocobo female quirked her head to the left. Her question had not been answered. If her question had not been answered, then she had not answered Ness' question. "Oh... yeah! kweh Sure! But..."
Bright blue eyes studied the other female as Mys sat up in the 'snow' heedless of how much was stuck in her golden fur. "Are you kweh crushing or liking someone lots or kweh loving that you asked?"

Ness's bridge across her nose pinked up. Even as much as her stubbornness wanted to cover up feelings, her eyes would betray her. "Um... kind of... I guess... I just... I don't know. Mating is so permanent. What if i don't always like him. and.. what if he just goes away for a long time.. and I don't see him.. It makes me feel confused. It like... makes me happy when I see him; I wonder what he's doing.. and If I should go to his house.. but then I don't want him to think I'm pestering him..."
Ness was getting even more nervous actually talking about it. She had asked in the first place though. She wondered if she should have opened her big mouth about it. Still, these thoughts were ever in her mind lately. It was hard to go on like she normally would without them flooding her mind. One could even say her obsessive-fun-seeking ways had been especially compulsive recently to distract herself from acknowledging her own feelings.
Ness loved to play the part of a superhero and come to the rescue of her friends, but she hated being weak in front of others. She hated for people to see need and weakness in her. She despised being the one that someone had to come save. Yet, for all her pride and stubbornness; the feelings inside her just kept growing more and faster than she could control. She stood there looking at Mysidia.
Then, Ness remembered the time she walked off on a couple of numas she randomly met once. Their overly outward affection and romance stinged at her with raw emotion. While she felt like rambling on about a certain boy, she didn't quite know what to say or how to answer this new numa she met that day.

Mysidia, -eternal optimist, everyone's friend, a numa always living for the moment- smiled sweetly & propelled herself at her new friend giving Ness a huge hug. "You'll kweh know. It's so kweh worth it! Really! Like sliding kweh down the mountain." Blue eyes sparkling Mys released one arm from the white numa and with a wide gesture flung the arm to indicate the trails they had made. "Fun, yes? Did you kweh think about what if you didn't like it in 5 minutes? Would you want to kweh slide again? Thrill, happiness... it kweh can go away I suppose. Love. Mating. Kits... they're kweh chances. The best chances!! Good better best than kweh sliding down a mountain!"
She smiled brightly. "But it's kweh late! You need to kweh go home, right? And I want to go see kweh Ryuune!" Her golden tail wgged happily at the thought, and her blue eyes seemed to brighten with sparkles.

Ness looked up at Mysidia. A tear went into her eye to be hugged like this. She had only met a few numa who even hugged her at all. The warm, genuine sincerity. It was something beautiful. Ness soaked it up like a sponge. Ness thought about all the fun of going down the mountain. It was true.
Every time Ness hit the mountain; she didn't give a moment's thought to whether it was scary. She just did it. She enjoyed every minute of it. She let the wind kiss her face. The rush of landing at the bottom of it. Mysidia's words found their way deep into Ness's subconscious. It was like someone unlocked a gate.. that held her willingness to embrace deeper feelings. Now, she felt herself standing there.
Ness snapped out of her thoughts with a gentle smile. "Thank you... Thank you very much Mysidia. I hope to see you again soon. I appreciate you sharing your feelings with me." Ness gave a wave and smile. Then, her wings fluttered briskly as she sped off across the night air, back to her playhouse, her comfort zone.
