Anyone can learn any language, they just have to want to learn it.

Obviously... I was saying it more as a joke than as a statement... My friend moved from Montreal to Colorado when she was younger (moved back to Ottawa after) and she found it pretty funny that her English teacher told her 'the English language was the hardest one to learn, the one with the most exeptions'. *shrugs*

Oh, seems that while I ran off for a couple of days, I got accepted here. Which is a good thing, of course, but I must admit I somewhat forgot I applied ( which was probably late at night). In any case, I found the acceptance PM in my mailbox today mrgreen
So, here I am. My Gaian name is verush, but usually people just call me V ( or rush, which has risen in relative populatity lately. I prefer V, however, unless you start making V for Vendetta jokes ;-; . Plus, the rush thing took me a while to figure out D: Many things became a bit more clear afterwards <.< ) Anyways. There's not much more relevant information anyone would want to know. Except maybe that i'm European so my hours online might seem a bit odd.
PS: Hi *wave* ^^

xXSuimitsuXx *waves* Welcome V! My real name starts with a V, so my friends used to call me that too... sweatdrop Hmm, mine starts with a Y, which is why they never used Y because then i'd ask why they said Y and that would confuse everyone terribly. 3nodding

Belgium. For those who don't know what timezone that is it's GMT+1. 3nodding
meanwhile I was reading the RP 101 sticky, because I like to read people's view on introductory posts, and I wanted to note something on a few points. Who do I poke about that? whoever wrote it or do I post it somewhere?

*raises hand*....Languages being easy relates mostly to exposure. IF you've lived around a language for a long time, you learn it easier. This is why people learning new languages have hard times if they aren't either somewhere it is used or with someone they can talk to.
English is quite easy compared to French however....I'll admit to that...
All in all, I think languages are too picky. Communication is important...but for god's sake....stop making things complicated....I don't see the point of making so many rules, if there's going to be just as many exceptions to go along with them. neutral
I'm all for a Universal language that everyone should know, apart from their mother tongue....(It keeps cultures intact, but keeps us all on the same page...)
