Daegonna struggled to control her temper on the best of days. The exhausted girl was in no mood to put up with Eva's misdirected anger. "You will watch how you speak of my brother, in the future." Even spent as she was, the look in Daegonna's eyes was the look of one who would kill for that offense. "I have done you a favour by even trying to get your husband to answer! I had the strength to raise him, not control him!" She snarled, "You came to me, asked a favour of me, and I tried to aid you with no gain for myself! You'd best recall that I am still trying to help you!" Daegonna was immensely tempted to just let Yoachi crush the woman, but she understood the grief of losing someone. She opted to take a chance. "Yoachi...let her go. She's understandably upset." If Eva opted to be violent, Daegonna would let Yoachi crush her with no remorse.

If you say so boss....
*The elf let go, but didnt move away. Any aggressive move from the upset woman would be met with equal or greater force from the naga, who still revelled in the powerful form he was currently assuming*

:: The temptation to snap out a Word of Power was great... but no. Not against these. Moving away from the naga and rubbing her arms where she;d been held, she fluffed her wings in annoyance ::
Now you know why I asked you to make it two of us working TOGETHER. He's a stubborn old git and now he knows your level of power, Im going ot have to find someone even STRONGER to make him answer next time...
Your seer will not be required. I have already tried them, even with LARGE pieces of his body - flesh as well as bone. I am no unskilled, HE is just difficult. Your help, in general, is appreciated. I only wish I had been more adamant about what I wanted from you.
Now if you please... allow me to collect my husbands remains and I will leave you in peace, as promised.

Daegonna was not apologetic in the least. She was tired and bitchy. She didn't regret her actions, either. Even with Eva's power, she truly doubted they could have compelled him to help. He didn't want to, and he was a mind-numbingly powerful lich. Daegonna briefly wondered if Eva was trying to guilt her into helping more, and came to the conclusion that she didn't give a s**t. When Eva asked for the remains, Daegonna just shrugged. "Okay." She said. She stretched out a hand to smudge out the circle, and drew down the wards. Then, exhausted, she sat back. "Yoachi, I could use a hand. That was more power than I thought I had in me." She said dryly. Her legs would not support her, and she knew it, so she didn't even try to stand.

:: Eva walked into the circle and knelt by te spot Zavious had stood in. Resting her hands on the earth, she pushed lightly and the bones rose and came together in the same jumbled she'd laid them out in. Placing them back into their respective satchels, she flared her wings and nodded curtly to the two DeSeer necromancers ::
Thank you for your help. I am sure we will meet again.
:: Her wings flared and she rose into the sky. Overhead, a dark flame edged portal opened to her home dimension. In a few moments, she was gone ::

O...kay... that was beyond odd.
*Yoh slithered across to Dae and reached down with his two lower arms to help her up. Naga didnt bend to well, and though the Erinyes was gone, Yoh didnt trust her not to come back. What WAS it with necromancers that even to each other they were creepy?*
You ok? The mistress AND the master will have my head if you're not... and I dont REALLY want those two fighting over my skull..

Daegonna shook her head, slightly bewildered. "I...I'm not sure I understand what just happened." She said at last. The girl allowed Yoachi to help her up, mildly surprised by his statement. She knew Corbin had a sort of vested interest in her staying alive, but she would be genuinely surprised if he were all that interested in her well being. She waved aside his concern. "Don't worry about it, I'm just tired. I just need a shower, a hot drink, and a nap, preferably in that order." She said with a tired smile. "Thank you for babysitting, by the way." She added wryly.

Heh, no problem. Ever since I got the scales, I got promoted to front line meat shield. Lets go home.
*He;d scoop her up, and slither his way into a portal of his OWN making this time, heading for the mansion*

Meanwhile, back in the ol' UK....
Iden drove the old car onto the base with no true difficulty. Commander Richards was expecting him, for one. It didn't matter that Iden was in a beat up old sedan, he was dressed in proper military attire and had identification. Down to the bar on his collar, he was a Lieutenant, so far as every man, woman and child on base was concerned. He'd even smartened up and trimmed his hair, just to look the role.

*Iden was indeed expected and thus had no trouble getting onto the base, and was even ushered through to the open hanger, spilling light onto the grass without, where Richard's sat, smoking a pipe and watching his men working on a beat up old carrier that had taken some kind of flak recently. Assumably, this is what he'd been working on when Iden had called*

Iden adjusted the jacket he wore over his usual outfit (military surplus wins again!), and approached the commander with full confidence. Only a quick glance was afforded to the aircraft; Iden was more keen on shaking hands with Richards and getting things properly underway.
Good to see you again, sir.

*Richards rose and shook Iden;s hand, leading him into the warmth of the hanger*
And you Leuitenant. Its not often we hear from the Lady, less one of her decorated kin. Did you have a good drive down?
*small talk seemed the order as Richards sipped tea and looked up at the plane*
Casualities in Afghan have had us grounded for a week. Public's all over the death toll now it's cleared 200 British dead, and with the election coming up, we;re all being held back until it clears. Ground support only, due to risk of civvie casualties. The boys are going stir crazy.

Had an uneventful drive. Amounts to the same thing, I guess.
He met the commander with a broad grin and a firm grip. Then, Iden let the older soldier guide him towards the hanger, and the plane within.
You'd think we were fighting a war or somethin'...Pity the public doesn't get to see it in the proper light anymore. It'd make things a lot less complicated.

I tell you, it;d be a lot easier if we were just conquering them. Drink?
*he stopped by what amounted to a makeshift bar, whiskey already laid out on the top, which the old Commander had no issue taking to in an instant switch for his tea.*
So. What ya got lined up for us, Leuitenant? As you can see, this lot are spoiling for something to do. Where can we drop you this time?

No thank you.
Iden leaned against the bar as Richards took his drink. Once again, the young brawler eyed the commander up, and found himself liking the man. He seemed a good, down to earth sort; it was good, seeing as Iden was trusting his life to whomever Richards had as a pilot.
I wish I could be specific on that one, sir. I've got a general region in the orient, but intel's not finished piecing the op together. Best I can say, somewhere near the Korean/Chinese border, give or take. Current scuttlebutt has the deployment as a recon job, over all else. Hate to break it to your boys, but my own team will be taking the groundwork for this one. We could use a ride, though.
