"Ohhh? Hehehe, well don't make him a man too fast. I want to be able to pinch his cheek sa few more times before he goes out sowing any wild oats." She laughed hard again. She wasn't comply gone yet but she was getting there and she knew it. She slowed down a bit with the drinks and sat back a bit...she looked up to the ceiling and got almost soberly honest, "What's it like...being Kage?"

Kinami giggled, then quieted at Ryoko's question. So many memories.... "It's so hard," she finally spoke, holding the saucer and it's crystalline liquid still in her lap. "I have to make so many decisions that effect everyone, and I'm constantly doubting my choices. Did I make the right choice in sending them? Could something else have been done? Was I too blind to see an alternate path?"

Kinami sighed heavily, beginning to feel as if she was twice her current age. She now knew why her father always looked as if he should've been retired, and why so many chose successors as soon as possible in order to retire. So much weight rested on her, it felt like a mountain ready to fall at the slightest breeze.

Ryoko looked to Kinami...she knew she couldn't understand the power or depth of the kage's position. She had a clue though..to be in charge o so much and to have so much riding. If Kinami had be heartless than the Kage position would be a cakewalk to her. She would send people here and ther enad not think twice aobu tit...but in truth, even Ryoko could tell that Kinami wasn't battle hardened...she was still young and wanted to just cut loose...she needed...friends...Ryoko took a final swig from her saucer, refilled it then shoved the bottle in Kinamis mouth, "Ahhh chill out girl! Your too young to be letting this stuff bog you down. Here drink up!"
PostPosted: Sat Apr 21, 2007 8:45 pm

Kinami blinked and took the bottle out. "Um...I can't hold my liquor at all," she admitted with a wry and bitter laugh. "My dad could drink a dozen bottles of the stuff and still walk in a straight line. Me, I'm smashed after three or four saucers." She could already feel the tingling in her fingertips, feel herself become just a little more numb.

"That's why you get smashed dear! So you don't have to worry and think about the problems of the world, least fot the next 24 hours or so. And besides, we're alrady in the hospital, what the worst that could happen?" She said offering Kinami another saucer of saka. Even after all their drinking, the bottle, which was one of those old fashion huge bottles, was barely down any. You could hardly tell anyone had been drinking it.

Kinami shook her head with a smile. "I'm worried about the hangover. I only ever had one, and it was murder." She took a larger sip, though, and was glad to know that her thoughts were beginning to become muddled. She knew from hearsay that she was a happy drunk...she just hoped it was true eight years later.

Ryoko smiled to her and sat back, "Well...not meaning to compare it by anymeans but raising kids ain't exactly the easiest thing int he world either. Trust me, you think running a country is hard, try protecting two little balls of energy you call son and daughter. Hehehe..." She then looked to Kinami, "How come you don't have any rugrats running around?"
PostPosted: Sat Apr 21, 2007 9:42 pm

Kinami shook her head. "I just haven't found the right person. And I don't only like guys," she admitted, scratching the back of her head. "So I can't garuntee that I'd have a child if I found someone that I was in love with, because it could be a woman. But...I don't know, I've just not had the time or the resources to meet someone who I can see myself with. They're all really nice, the people I've met...." She sighed heavily. "But none of them know me. I know that, when they look at me, they see the Kage, a woman they shouldn't mess with, someone to respect at a distance. They don't see the person I am, just me, just Kinami."

Ryoko sat there...to be honest, she realized without even being in that position that Kinami would be plauged by that as long as she kept trying to find someone in the village. Everyone would only view her has that and anyone she met frm the village she'd always have to look to them with an eye of suspicion. Is that person trying to be with Kinami for Kinami or are tye trying to use ehr position for hteir own gain...RYoko sighed and put hte saka down. SHe was sobering up from all this talk and it didn't sit well with trying to be drunk all over again. She looked to kinami, "So thats all you want? Someone to see you for you? But everyone from the village knows your power...the power of your family and fears you and your position...either that or you have to be worried they're trying to use you...that's gotta be tough..." SHe sighed a bit and laid back" Damn..."
PostPosted: Sat Apr 21, 2007 9:56 pm

"That's exactly why I never react to anyone." Kinami's face was down, her hair falling into curtains to hide herself. "I've had so many people over the years say that they love me just because I was the daughter of the kage, and then the kage herself.

"I've never had someone just sit and talk about nothing, or bring me my favorite flower just because it was a sunny day, or sit with me when I'm alone...After the first, I knew what to look for. Nobody wants to see Kinami the woman- she's always overshadowed by Kinami the Kage, the one that has the ultimate authority for anyone who can get into her pants and knock her up."

The last part was spat, her grip tightening on the saucer so hard that her knuckled were turning white. A crack began to form from the pressure. Normally she wouldn't have been saying so much- however, the alcohol was loosening her tongue, and it felt nice for someone to listen.

Ryoko looked to Kinami. In all honesty....she didn't really phatom the power of the Kage. Sure she knew Kinami was strong but it didn't really seem to phase her that much. Her and Roy were alot alike in that respect. Ryoko looked to Kinami and then the saucer. She gripped Kinamis hand before the saucer cut into it. She looked to her and took the saucer away from Kinami. "Oy...calm down. People are people...most of'em are afraid of you...from what I've hard, you Kage's are the s**t...I wouldn't know...never seen one in action before." She scooted over to Kinami...she looked like she need a shoulder to cry on, "But personally, I think your a strong one yoruself. Hell, you put up with my son, thats gotta be strength all in itself. I was utterly shocked when you didn't try ot kill him after the first day. HIs mouth usually gets him in tons of s**t...I can tell that he likes you...alot...he just feel sso inferior to you...oh well, you a whole lotta woman to be tryin to make sweet on. " She was starting to talk country...she kenw she had had too much to drink now.

Katare walked briskly into the hospital. He almost walked right past the lobbyist, before he snapped out of his current daydream. The lobbyist spoke. "Excuse me sir, are you visiting somebody?" Katare replied, "Actually, no. I'm here on a mission. One involving helping the hospital with some chores they needed taken care of?" He wasn't entirely sure what he was supposed to say to introduce himself as the guy who had taken the mission, since it was his first one.

The lobbyist smiled, apparently pleased that their help had finally arrived. "Oh! Yes, we have plenty of work for you to take care of. Let's see here..." She pulled out what seemed to be a list, and peered through it. "Ah! Firstly, we would like you to clean all of the bedpans in the hospital. They're all waiting in the Sanitation Room. That would be on the second floor, third door on the right... Oh, and come back to me after you finish with that. Have a nice day!"

Katare simply stared into space. Bedpans? That's disgusting!... Oh well, I guess I have to. After all, I AM the ninja who took the mission, and I'm required to fulfill my duty.. I guess. Katare began walking up the stairs. The smile that was normally proudly present on his face began to fade away; he could tell that it was going to be a long and arduous day.

Katare had to cheer himself up, for the sake of getting the work completed quickly and efficiently. Come on, put on a happy face! Get in a work-ready mood! It can't possibly take that much time!... Not to mention that we're getting paid... The voice inside his head was right, as always. Katare was broke, and actually having money for once would make life just a little easier. And if cleaning urine from metal pans was what had to be done, then so be it. Katare began walking quickly, so that he could get the work done sooner. He found the Sanitation room relatively easily; the sign on the door helped immensely with that. Inside the room... were a lot of used bedpans. "No wonder they want me to do this chore first!" Amazingly enough, even the astonishingly high number of portable toilet bowls that required cleaning couldn't manage to get Katare down.. Yep, he was definitely in a work-ready state of mind. Now, how to clean a bedpan? Katare looked around at the contents of the room, and quickly deduced that it was a sort of "wash, rinse, scrub, sanitize, repeat" business. Of course, since he didn't particularly want to take part in any diseases, he placed his hands in the hand sink and washed them before he sanitized anything else. He then proceeded to grab his first bedpan. Luckily enough, it seemed that the feces (Or at least, the part that hadn't stuck) had been dumped. He then scrubbed the rest of the crud off with a peculiar tool that he had found there, using the high-power sink hose to help get it off. It took a relatively long amount of time, but he finished the cleaning. He could actually see his own reflection! But he had taken too long, so he'd have to improve his efficiency. Oh well, on to the next one...

Katare pulled up his second bedpan to the cleaning sink. This one actually seemed a wee bit cleaner than the other bedpan was beforehand. Either way, it wasn't sanitary at all. He began to scrub and wash the bedpan using his hand towel and high-powered hose. Wait a moment, why am I even using the hand towel? He immediately let go of the useless object. He then proceeded to simply use the hose to get the stains off. It worked quite well, and before long the pan was clean. He placed it on top of the first pan; they seemed to stack on each other nicely. On to the next one... He spotted a pair of gloves out of the corner of his eye, sitting on one of the counters on the other side of the room. I'm such an idiot... He picked them up and slipped them onto his hands. He then picked up the third pan and washed it down; this time, it was finished rather quickly. He was getting better at this, that was for sure. Katare began counting the pans that he had cleaned, to keep his mind off of the fact that he was cleaning the excretions of other people from a pan. "4... 5... 6..." Indeed, he was getting better at this task. The sooner it was over, the sooner he got paid.. Not to mention that he would have finally completed a ninja mission. "8.. 9.. 10.." Katare began daydreaming, the cleaning becoming simple enough that his entire mind didn't have to be thinking about it. Just how grnd of a ninja would he become? Would he rise to the challenge, or die before he got the chance? "25. 26. 27." A ninja's purpose is to protect their country and their mission, no matter what. That's what he read anyways. But what if he wasn't strong-minded enough to do such things for the sake of a mission? ...Then again, now wasn't the time to think of such matters. For now, he was just doing chores. "35.. 36.. 37..."

(I wasn't sure, so I put a small portion of it in white...)

Kinami let go of the saucer and blinked back tears. "I know, well..." She sniffed. "I...there's nothing I can do. If I don't train and keep up my strength, I can't guaruntee that I can keep the threats to Iwagakure at bay." She wrapped her arm around her stomach and, had she had full use of her body, she would've drawn up her knees to her chest and hid her face in them. As it was, her hair hid her face from Ryoko, and so she felt as if she were alone and just happened to be reminding herself of her duties.
