I don't fully understand the whole classification thing, am I being moved up to a 2nd year or am I still a 1st due to the lack of a term?

I'm a little confused myself.
Lack of term...
I believe that those sorted become first years, former first years move on to second year and the rest stay the same. I'd expect that former firsties would stay firsties due to lack of term, but that's what was decided on by higher powers. whee

that's why I am confused. I'd figure that since there was no term everyone would stay the same and there would just be additional firsties.

I'm thinking of maybe renting it at Blockbuster and watching it with a friend, who hasn't seen it but wants to. Frankly, I'm a little more interested in deleted scenes and the making of the movie and commentary. Stuff like that.
