He nodded absently, a little distracted by the other's laugh - a nice laugh. He'd have to make him do it more often - and by the falling snow. Kon loved snow. He took a few hesitant steps towards the window and pressed his hands against the cold glass, a peaceful smile on his lips as he watched the falling white flakes. Of course, this human body was much more sensitive to cold than his usual, fury one and he soon had to retract his hands, shivering, although he continued to stare out the window. There was a part of him that longed to be out in the snow and that longing showed on his face.

For a second time that day, Kotoro felt that weird swimming feeling in his head, though not quite as strong as before. What was the cause of it? he wondered. Maybe he was just getting sick. The only thing keeping him from focusing on that feeling was the knowledge of his beloved cakes being held in the hands of Oliver.

"Maybe because I can't put 100% faith in a certain boy who didn't know what 'pay' was to be able to make lunch," he said.

Ryu came up beside him, a smile appearing on his face when he saw the look on Kon's. "I like the snow..." He murmured softly as he too stared out the window. " It always looks so beautiful- you almost don't want to touch it...but then you can't resist..." He chuckled a little, remembering his childhood a little- playing in the snow, then coming inside for a mug of hot cocoa. His mother used to always have it ready for him, waiting for him...but that was then. This is now- and now she is dead. He tried to keep the sadness from remebering that bit of information from his face as he continued to stare out at the snow.

Oliver frowned, annoyed. So what if he didn't know every nonsensical human word? I wasn't as if Kotoro spoke in his native tongue either. So making up his debt wouldn't be as easy as he'd hoped... he'd just have to stay with Kotoro until the deed was done. "Fine," he mumbled, pecking Kotoro on the cheek as if he'd done it every day of his life. Not thinking that it would make any sort of impression, Oliver casually moved to the counter, plopped the prized snack cakes on it, and went to find the living room. He combed through his bangs once with his fingers and pulled his goggles down to hang around his neck as he waited quietly.

Kon nodded. "Kon... Kon has always loved snow... Kon... spent a lot of time in the snow and cold... with his family..." he murmured softly, bright blue eyes reflecting flecks of falling, pristine white. He... he wanted to be out in the snow again. It almost hurt, having to just watch. "Can... can Kon go out...?" he asked, looking hopeful. This whole time, he had not once raised his eyes to look at the other, choosing instead to watch the snow, but now he had raised his gaze to stare up at the other.

With the quickly fleeting touch of Oliver's lips on his cheek, Kotoro's entire body tensed. Not only was he not used to company, but even more-so, he was unaccustomed to people touching him. Especially acts such as that. Unmoving, as if he had been frozen solid, he watched the other through the corner of his eye until he left. All at once, his body sagged as he shook his head in disbelief. Oliver must have grown up in a touchy and affectionate kind of family, he figured.

Having not gotten an answer of what type of food to make, he decided to grab two frozen dinners. They were the easiest to make. It was a little more difficult to open the box than it usually was. By now, he would normally have his gloves off and put away until the next day. He finally resorted to just completely tearing it open before throwing them both in the oven. Instead of waiting, he became curious as to what Oliver was doing in the other room, so he set out to find him.

Oliver sighed, but the Nix hadn't moved from a rather comfortable position on the couch. Thin, nimble fingers felt the damp hem of his shirt... it was odd. He never felt entirely dry in his human form. There was always the reminder of his waterfall home that kissed the smooth skin of his hips and ankles intermittently. He leaned against the armrest, chin propped up on his fist, as he looked about the simple room. Hearing a soft steps approaching, golden eyes flickered to the entrance of the living room to see Kotoro. ... but no food? Did he need help in the kitchen or something?

Trying to surpress a smile, Oliver tilted his head slight as he spoke. "You couldn't need help in the kitchen...?"

"Of course I don't need help," Kotoro said, not able to keep from noticing how relaxed Oliver seemed, and in practically a stranger's house. "It's cooking right now. It'll be done in about ten minutes." The red-headed boy walked over to sit in the chair opposite of the couch. Time to rid himself of a few questions that had stirred in his mind since they had entered the apartment. "So, Oliver.." he started, slouching his shoulders over so he could rest his elbows upon his knees. Start easy. "You from anywhere around here?"

Once the two were seated and the question hung in the air, Oliver nodded and shrugged. "You could say that," he replied, but didn't elaborate. What was he going to say? That he lived in a waterfall cave? In the forest, by the base of the mountains? Humans didn't exactly live that far out...

"... Ok," Kotoro said, looking a little skeptical with the given answer. "And you just randomly have the free time to follow me home? I could have been some psycho rapist or murderer you know." He sat back in the chair resting the heel of his foot on one knee and crossed his arms. He was very rarely one to give lectures, but he was just curious about Oliver.

A psycho rapist or murderer? What the heck? Cracking a soft smile, Oliver watched the human in interest. Kotoro seemed far from a rapist or murderer.

"Well... if you're a rapist murderer, then I'm a vicious cannibal.

But... yes, I have the free time."

Oh, little did Kotoro know of Oliver's true Nixen nature..

Instead, he found the boy's comparison amusing. He knew he wasn't either of those things himself, and he thought there was no way in hell the other could be either vicious or cannibalistic.

"Right, of course," he said, his fingers drumming on the edge of his elbow rhythmically. "You live alone?" Or away from most civilization? he was also tempted to add, but restrained his tongue from further comment.

Indeed.

Oliver kept his smile as the other seemed to absorb the comparison. When the next question came, he paused. Well... he did. His waterfall, pool, and cave were technically his... but that didn't mean other Nixes-- especially those he was indebted to-- didn't frequent his home for their own purposes.

"Most of the time," he responded with a little nod.

Ryu grinned "Sure...but I reccommend getting changed back into clothes first- I don't want you to freeze or get sick." Ryu gently ruffled Kon's hair, then went back over to the chair where his towel was and finished drying off. Honestly, he was thrilled that Kon wanted to go out into the snow- he had wanted to as well, so this would probably prove to be an enjoyable experience for the both of them.

Kon nodded, finally tearing his gaze from the window to turn and towel off and well as he could. "Let's go, then!! So - so we can change and go out!!" he said, looking both eager and determined. There was something more than simple happiness in his eyes - like a sort of... craving. He needed to be back out in the snow.
