Man, if this takes much longer I'll have spent a weeks worth of energy for nothing she thinks to herself.

Taz's whole body stiffened with each passing second of being with Red and now the new wolf they found. People were getting way too cocky around here and she was getting very sick of it. "Let's just deal with the bears first and deal with her later." Taz suggested. Who knows, if they stood there too long the bears might either pick up their scent or travel even farther. Neither situation was good so the best focus would be to find the bears and take them down.

As they arrived to see Silver, Grim, and a new intruder wolf chatting up, Vivan was starting to grow uneasy having new wolves joining in but she and Kano was no different. She stood there watching the new wolf ahead of them with her icy blue eyes. "I agree with Taz.... We should hurry." she walked around while sniffing in the air to make sure the bears were still there.
Kano was also starting to get weary of having new wolves popping up while their on a mission and time was not on their side. Every minute Silver, Grim, and the new intruder wolf were talking, they were wasting time. He softly growled while his body was shivering indicating that he was concentrating his body for the spikes to come out as soon as he commanded.

They were all right. There was no time to waste with questions. He slashed her tail through the air to get on with the hunt. Soon, the first bear was spotted. "Two of you, at the heels!" She started giving orders on how to take down the bear just as Grim had said before. Silver awaited her turn to go for the spine, and then Grim could finish it off. The faster the job got done, the better.

Arkion was the first one to go for one of the bears heels. He dashed towards it, and bit down ferociously. At first, the bear didn't know what was happening, but then let out a loud beastly snarl. It was furious, but Arkion held on tight, and bit down even harder. He could feel the bones in its foot and leg start to snap. To add his own bit of flavor to the hunt, he also let flames flow from his mouth. It burned the bear about up to it's knee.

The hunt had started and it seems that Arkion was the first to move. Kano knew he had to be fast but before he didn't think as he dashed after the other unoccupied heel. He slid underneath the bear as it let out a loud snarl when Arkion first attacked. While the bear was slightly distracted, he charged with his bare teeth open and bit as hard as he can into the bear's unoccupied heel. The bear let out yet another howling snarl but this time it tried to shake off whichever wolf to attack. Kano threw his body downwards in order to keep the bear from attacking while keeping his teeth tightly gripped into the bear's flesh.

After both of the bears rear heels were attacked, she barked a few more orders. "Now go for the spine with me." Without a second thought she jumped right onto the bears back and dig her teeth right into its spine. The bear was now raged and began to throw itself around vigorously, trying to get the three wolves off of him. Silver hung on with all the strength in her jaws. She refused to let the bear slip away. Now it was Grim's turn to finish the beast off...

Ashur the opportunity to step in and show his worth over Grim. The whole attacking the spine was a good plan if you wanted to wound the bear but to kill it would mean severing the spinal cord, and when you have to work around bone that just makes thing more complicated. Any beast human or in this case bear must have a fairly large vein in the throat. Severing that would kill the bear maybe not as quickly as cutting its source of motor functions, and it would certainly create a fantastic mess but it was much easier. Ashur charged the bear from the rear in his wolf form doing what he could to keep in the bears blind spot, a challenge with it thrashing about.Next issue was how to cling onto the bear without trampling over the pair on the beasts ankles or Silver on its back. Ashur sprang over the pair at the ankles giving himself enough hang time to shift into his human form digging fingers into the bear's back opposed to teeth, and regrettably smashing into Silver. He wasn't able to dig in without claws but the bear had enough fur and hide to grip, but he was still slipping. Ashur quickly fumbled with his belt going for his hunting knife. Ashur pulled out the knife and desperately reached around the beast thrusting the knife at flesh of its neck aiming away from the bone of the bear, screaming like an animal.

Taz didn't understand what the deal was with Ashur and this ego of his. He's always trying to be impressive but honestly he looks like a showoff pretty much all the time. Her senses were still on high alert and there was another bear nearby and she could sense it. She wanted to go attack it but she didn't move from her position until she was ordered to.

Maybe he should have taken his knife and shoved it into the bears spinal column to sever the spinal cord. that might kill it pretty quick if you get it just right.Numair says after seeing that Ashur was going for the throat with his knife.

"Well you've seen how Ashur is," she replied to Numair's comment "Always has to be the alpha dog even when technically he isn't." she finished rolling her eyes. Some boys could be so cocky and have such big egos she just didn't understand it. Probably the reason she didn't get along with boys her age was because they all annoyed her.

chuckling at Taz's comment about Ashur, Numair says yeah he does like to try to show how strong he is.but thats just how some people are. they have a kind of Napoleon complex

As the bear was howling, growling, and frantically struggling from the pain in its body and the attacks, Kano kept on holding down the bear waiting for it to finally fall.
Vivan watched as her beloved husband was holding down the first bear while she's doing nothing. She kept on growling and worrying her mind out on what to do but she couldn't do anything but wait for the orders. When she saw Ashur showing off like he's the alpha, she couldn't help but overhear Taz's and Numair's conversation. She agreed every word of what they say about Ashur since he was always one to harass and thinks he's the best when he should understand that there's others who are stronger than him.

luckily no body will be seriously hurt with this bear. Though I'm not sure about the others, I haven't checked yet. I should start checking that now maybe. Numair says still watching his pack mates trying to take down the bear.

Vivan glance back at Numair, "I think everyone's fine, Numair. We just have to wait for Silver's orders for the next bear. Keep your guard up, I think some of the bears are restraining to attack us or worse . . ."
Although she was worrying her mind out, she kept up her duties as a scout to oversee than none of the bears escape. If one did, that's one less food to eat for maybe weeks or months worth of meals. She watched closely while concentrating her powers beneath her paws. If one of them escaped due to the new intruder's powers, she can help out by using her own: using the forest's roots to catch them.
