Angilwingz Ooo KT I want one! But I'm not a freshman I'm in my last year of school. Well, I myself am in my freshmen year of college, so I'm out of school. But, like BabyShady said. I plan to make ones for my Junior and Senior writers. Angilwingz Anyhow I'm willing to pay, but I want it a lot smaller so it'll fit into my signature. I didn't make them too big, I thought... sweatdrop Anywho, I was also thinking of, if these seem popular, making a sort of mini I.D. one that had just a picture and "Hogwarts Monthly Staff" on it... Christen Wilson That means Marille and I are Junior Writers. Yes you are...

babyshady Bryjin Okay.. Maybe I'm being quite stupid. ..But how do I get this paper.? I'd love to see it. There is a sticky thread called The Hogwarts Monthly that has the paper for each month Thankies. That sounds easy enough. biggrin I'll go have a look then.

Alright everyone,
I've finally put out the 7th issue and I can't wait to get started on the 8th!
Only, I wont be on at all till at least friday...
You can still PM me your articles, questions, or problems to me,
I just want you all to know that I wont be here
(I'm about to move to Washington State on thursday, so I'll be packing and moving)
I hope to at least check in on friday...

I know everyone is getting ready for school and all tha jazz,
but don't forget to write!
This will be the first issue of the school year,
let's make it dynomite!
Maybe, if someone is interested, someone could do an article on teachers or the new school year or kids getting ready for school or something along those lines...

I'm thinking about making a new rule
(as far as deadlines go)
I was thinking, for my own sainity, articles/stories/fanfic/cartoons should be turned in no later than the 10th of each month. I will still accept articles after that, but I will be deducting from your pay for every day that you are late. And the cuts will go like so...
(since there is a very large gap between the highest and lowest wages,
it will be based on percentages)
If you turn it in on the 11th, 15% of your pay will be cut
If you turn it in on the 12th, 30% of your pay will be cut
If you turn it in on the 13th, 60% of your pay will be cut
These deductons are for the cost of my personal sleep for every day you turn in your work late...

if anyone has a sugestion as to who they think should be this month's Witch/Wizard of the month...please PM me...I've been gone for a week or two and I haven't really been able to hang around a whole lot...so I'm not sure who I should interview... Just don't suggest someone who has already been it...other wise I'd do RubyRays for putting in so much effort into the sorting hat and getting ready for the first day of school...

Just don't suggest someone who has already been it...other wise I'd do RubyRays for putting in so much effort into the sorting hat and getting ready for the first day of school... Hmm... Do you have a list of everyone who has already been Witch/Wizard of the month? Well I could always just go check *Goes reads paper*

Because, although I would give this to RubyRays in a heart beat, I'm worried the award will turn into a popularity contest...you know...the same people always getting it...I want to give recognition to some of the lesser known people too...

I even bookmarked the thread, I just never got around to it. xd Well, if you intend to read just the issues, keep in mind that there's about a page of comments between each issue. So maybe it won't seem as massive...And, although I'm pretty sure the last issue took up over 2 pages (which is 30+ posts), there are advertisements between each article, and some of them are quite tiny...so it's not such a heafty task as it seems... 3nodding I think I would know haveing to go through them all several times to edit them (like spelling and gramatical errors) and code them (so they look more presentable...)

Also, I haven't received a single article for the next issue, which should be a big one as it is the first issue after the start of term...I'm glad I opted not to make a speacial start of term issue... sweatdrop

Anyways, since no one has been writing, I have nothing to do for the paper really...so I was wondering. I had the idea of making Hogwarts Monthly Staff ID's, for fun and to make some income for the paper. I made one, it's a page or two back, and people liked them. But I was wondering two things...is there anything anyone want's particularly out of such an ID? And (this one is a maybe) is anyone willing to make up their own and make them for the guild? They can make them for the staff members who order them and (if they'd like, and I wouldn't blame them) keep a percentage of the profits for themselves. The only criteria is that they be somewhat decent IDs (basic is just fine, but no copying other guild's ideas, nor those of certain ID makers who are part of this guild) and they must agree to give at least 1/2 of the profits to the paper...not the guild, the paper...I'll make an application form in a moe' and so on and so forth...
