Sangre rolled her eyes and got up.
"Something was about to fall on you, my dear," she stated simply. She pointed up to the cieling, where a glass chandelier was dangling dangerously above him, hanging by only a few wires. "The chandelier was above to fall, and it didn't look like you were going to move. So I had to do something. I wouldn't want anything to happen to you when I was the one who invited you here." She shot him a look as she turned.
"And don't get jealous just because I'm doing my job."
Turning, she walked over to Raphael, who was being doctored.
"Are you all right?" She asked him. "Thank you for saving me. That was very brave."
Raphael shook his head.
"It vas nothing," he replied. "I am just glad no von vas seriously 'armed." He looked around. "Vat on earth 'appened, anyvay?"
Sangre shook her head.
"I don't know," she replied. "Some freak earthquake, I would guess."
Marina sighed.
"Well, I guess there's nothing more we can do," she stated simply, making Sangre blink at her. "Good work today, Sangre. Go back and change and go ahead and go on home. We'll finish things up here."
Sangre nodded.
"All right."
After changing in the dressing rooms and coming back out, Sangre went to Raphael again and nodded to him apologetically.
"I'm very sorry it ended like this," she told him. "I hope you're not too hurt."
He waved it away.
"Do not vorry, Miss Bello," he replied. "You are alvight. Dat's all dat counts." He smiled at her. "Perhaps ve vill vork together another day."
Sangre's eyes were dark as she shook his hand in goodbye and turned.
"Yes..." she breathed. "Another day."
She nodded to Lucian.
"Let's go," she stated simply, waving goodbye to the workers and pressing the button to the elevator. "I don't think we're needed here anymore."
Then she stepped into the elevator.

Lucian stepped in the elevator and leaned against the walls, not saying a word to Sangre. He prompts his foot against the wall and waited for the doors to close. His anger was now in check, but he knew that whatever Sangre and he had was demolished now. She was pissed and he was satisfied that he hurt the p***k, even though he wanted to do much more.

Sangre sighed.
"That wasn't necessary," she said after a moment. She raised her eyes to look at him. "You couldn't just sit through three minutes of it?"

"But if I get away from others, I can't hurt them..." Travis said.

"Perhaps not physically, but you will still hurt those that are close to you," Clara pointed out.

Lucian was still prompted up and had his eyes closed. “No…I couldn’t.” He wanted to tell her that Raphael was looking at her like some kind of meat to feast on, that he didn’t like the way Raphael touched her or the fact that there was a faint blush on her cheeks the whole time she was with him. He wanted to tell her that watching them seemed like hours in waiting. Lucian in truth stayed completely calm, but she didn’t know that. He could have ripped the guys head off and his instincts screamed at him to do so. Him sitting there, staying still was calm for his kind. He sighed, waiting for the elevator door to open.

Sangre sighed and shook her head.
"You nearly killed him, Lucian," she breathed. "You nearly killed him, and you nearly killed me. I can't use my powers around other people, Lucian! I wouldn't have been able to save him or myself! If he hadn't pushed both of us away-!" She paused, unable to continue. Sighing once more, she looked down, fingering her left arm, which was pulsing like something painful. "Ah... doesn't matter. What happened happened. No one was killed, the injuries were small, that's all that counts." She closed her eyes, tilting her head back to gaze at the ceiling. "That's all that ever counts."
It's only a matter of time before the Hunters realize that wasn't an earthquake and come for me...

Lucian could hear everything she was saying, knowing she was right. He couldn’t change the past and he didn’t care to. He should have known that mixing himself up with a woman again would only cause suffering.

Clara snapped her fingers. Travis could move his legs again. "I see that I won't be able to change your mind." She began to walk away. But then she stopped and said, "However, when your friends need you most, you won't be there to help them." Then she continued walking.

Then Sangre's phone rang. Blinking, she answered it.
"Hello?" She quipped as the doors opened.
"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT, SANGRE?!" A voice roared in her ear, making her wince and pull away the phone a little from her ear.
"Gah! Onni-sai!" She snapped. "Don't yell at me like that!"
"I will yell at you however much I WANT to!" The other voice hissed. "What the hell was that just now at your modeling studio?! It's all over the news!"
Sangre's heart dropped into her stomach.
"Ah, listen, Onni-sai, that wasn't my fault-"
"SURE it wasn't your fault! Who else COULD it have been?! You were the only one there!"
Sangre winced as she saw the crowd of people waiting in front of the double doors. Taking Lucian's hand, she broke into a run, heading around to the back of the building.
"That doesn't mean it was my fault!" She snapped as they ran. "It might've been just that! An earthquake!"
"Don't ******** with me, Sangre," the other voice hissed. "You want the Hunters coming after you? HUH? You want everything you've worked for to go done the drain?!"
Sangre bit her lip in frustration.
"Shut UP, Onni-sai!" She snapped. "Just shut the ******** up! I know what might happen!"
"Then you better keep your powers in check, girl1" The voice growled. "We saved you once - we're not saving you again! You'll have to rely on your own means!"
Sangre's eyes went wide.
"Onni-sai! You're not serious-!"
"I'm dead serious!"
"But, you're my kin-!"
"It doesn't matter. You can take care of yourself. What about your blood? Are you ashamed of it? Are you ashamed of the blood that runs through your veins?! Are you ashamed of us?!"
Sangre suddenly stopped in the middle of the empty hallway, her eyes downcast as one shoulder rested against the wall.
"No..." she breathed softly. It seemed as if she was nearly on the verge of tears. "No... I'm not." Sniffing, she let out a shaky breath and shook her head, running her hand through her hair. "Look, Onni-sai, I don't want to deal with this right now-"
"You're going to ******** deal with it until it's fixed!" He snapped. "Fix this! Fix this right now!"
"I'm TRYING!" Sangre yelled, exasperated.
"No you're not! You're running! I bet you anything in the world you're running away! Like you always do! You want people to believe you're powerful, that you'll protect them! But you won't! Because you're too damn terrified! You're terrified of everything!"
Sangre shut her eyes as her entire body began to shake.
"Shut UP!"
Sending her cell phone into the wall, it crumbled into pieces. She collapsed onto the floor, wrapping her arms around her legs and burying her face in her knees, her back pressed against the wall.
He's right... She thought as her shoulders shook. He's ******** RIGHT.
