"You're whipped, Faust!" shouted Takeshi, who was breathing hard and clutching his bleeding chest. "Your mind, right now, is like a bomb... all I have to do is push you a little too far, and you'll go to pieces."

"Try me," groaned Faust. Already, though, his vision was blurring, and a cacophany of voices clamored for attention within his mind. Eliza faltered for a second, and nearly lost her arm.

"It's not cheating," explained Takeshi, bending down to watch Faust lose consciousness. "I merely took advantage of your weakness. You're so unstable, so fragile, that you did it to yourself. Now all I have to do is stop your breathing, and you'll be no more. "

"Why...?" Faust asked blearily, the image of Takeshi's face swimming surreally in front of him. "Why did you do this to me?"

"Because I can't stand German corpse-screwers like you. You and your frigid dead woman can rot in peace."

Wielded by Eliza, the blade of Faust's steel cleaver whistled through the air, lodging itself in Takeshi's back with a sickening thunk. "You can accuse me of anything you like," Faust said. "But insult my wife, and YOUR HEAD IS MINE!!!!" he seized Takeshi by the throat, hurling him off and advancing on him with a bone saw.

Takeshi pleaded with his eyes. "You can't do this... you can't kill me! You should be insane!"

"Oh, but I am," replied Faust, laughing as he sliced the saw across Takeshi's throat once, brutally. "I'm crazy in love! Because Eliza is my salvation! Our love was meant to be, and anyone who profanes such purity by speaking of unholy alliances... must DIE!"

"Please..." rasped Takeshi, a red bubble swelling at his savaged throat and bursting sluggishly. "It won't bring her back... killing me won't bring her back... nothing will...."

Faust stabbed Takeshi, again and again, with a scalpel. He was both amazingly accurate and frighteningly cruel, slicing arteries from within and tearing apart vital organs with his bare hands, right before Takeshi's eyes. Eliza watched blankly, her expression eerily unchanging, as her husband continued to attack and stab at Takeshi even after he'd breathed his last.

Takeshi was dead, but Faust continued to attack with an unrivaled fury that crossed the border when it came to pure madness.

Faust growled deep in his throat. Lashing out at the officiant, his oversoul sliced open his stomach.

((note! according to Takei, Faust "killed his first opponent and seriously injured a SF officiant who tried to intervene." So I'm following the storyline, and Faust really is in character.))
