Well, aside from what hime said, it's possible for Hideki to think he's with chii, but it could be Freya...You never know. If that was the case, then Chi would be free to be with Fai. this is just theoretically people...I'm not advocating one pair over another...*glances at the dangerous fans* Lol I'm not about to tell you to stop shipping your favorite pairing, because I'm a huge fan of slash, but you have to realize when you're shipping a slash pairing. Slash isn't homosexual pairings in general, it's pairing two people together who will never be established in canon. That being said, Kurogane/Tomoyo and Fai/Chii are slash pairings. Shipping these isn't wrong, but saying that they are canon is. There is no getting around it, Hideki is in love with Chii. If you've read Chobits you'll understand the circumstances of Freya's "person just for her". Hideki is not her true love, so CLAMP would never pair her with Hideki. Even if she's identical to Chii, The fan (and Hideki) will still know she's not. Freya cannot love Hideki. It's not how CLAMP operates. Similarly, Chii can never love Fai. It would completely go against the entire purpose of Chobits. And if you'll notice, the canon pairings from other CLAMP manga remain the same in Tsubasa. Sakura still loves Syaoran and vice versa. Touya still loves Yukito and vice versa. Tomoyo still loves Sakura in the world where they meet. She skips right past Kurogane for her. It's canon. Again, I'm not telling you to STOP shipping what you're shipping. I understand entirely if BL makes you uncomfortable or you just don't like KuroFai together, but you cannot insist you're right or try to form fun loopholes, like Hideki and Freya, because it doesn't work that way. CLAMP is strict about true love. =) As for my favorite pairings? Sakura/Syaoran, Kurogane/Fai and Touya/Yukito.

But it sure doesn't stop the fanfiction writers. ^^ I wonder if we'll get to see any Souma/Kendappa in here...so far Souma's always been with Ryuu... ^^ Kind of like Hideki's so-far lack of appearances. I look forward to seeing both of them, if they make it in! Fanfiction is one of the best things about shipping something I think. It's great that we're able to put characters together even when canon doesn't. heart I enjoy it.

Um...I'd have to say I HATE the pairing of Fai+Chii because...first, I think Chii is like...stupid and like...slow. (I kno she cant help it but still...) and Fai is too good and hot for her.
