Faryn nodded, "I also wanted to mention..." He turned his head to the side so the other's form was visible in his peripheral gaze. "I should like to meet this father of yours more properly. I have quite a few questions for him, you can imagine... you look like him, you know." Black eyes flashed horribly. "Quite a bit." His hand turned the doorknob and opened the door slightly. Music drifted in. "What do you think, Jillian?"

Jillian paled as Faryn spoke of his father. "I... won't try to stop you because you wouldn't listen. But... I doubt you will get anything you want out of my father..." His expression darkened as his father was mentioned. However he quickly replaced that look with a bland, if not rigid, one so that his scowl might have been no more than the other's imagination. "He will only give you trouble, whether or not you are a prince."

"Oh? I'm not afraid of your father, Jillian. At all. If he tries anything... I'm sure he'll be in a lot more pain than... let's say hypothetically myself. As if he could touch me!" Turning back to the door, Faryn removed himself from the room muttering something about 'ridiculous.' He gazed around the ballroom until he spotted three thrones. Obvious. How could he have missed it? The darkly dressed teen took a glass of champagne from a tray as he made his way over to the thrones. Much to his annoyance... there was no prince. Ugh. 'What a bland party,' he thought again. There was no entertainment whatsoever. Dancing and... and talking? That's all there was to do? Faryn stood there boredly, sipping his wine. He didn't care that he had just been woken up from a deep sleep; he may have had to be there, but he wasn't going to do it entirely sober either. "Where is he?" he muttered. There was someone on the dancefloor with long, blonde hair... but at first glance, Faryn dismissed it as a loose lady. Who else would wear their hair down?

He followed Faryn, wanting to make sure he didn't fall or something. He stood beside him and sipped at his own glass of champagne. "I thought you wanted to speak with the prince?" he said at last, his eyes directed to the pair dancing in the centre of the dance floor. "He's the one with the long blond hair, as I told you, dancing with the Prince of Darkness, Sayael." He permited a small smile to cross his lips. "Hmm... so Ice is dancing with Darkness while I danced with Death."

Faryn frowned. "I do. 'Long blonde hair' isn't exactly the best description, by the way. I only saw a woma-- what? That's a guy?!" Quickly regaining composure, he shook his head. "I.. uh, don't remember his hair being so.. long." He took note of the other prince, tall and lean. Faryn had never met him, though his father tended to speak highly of this family. Apparently, much was expected of this prince. With the odd little play-on-words, Faryn glanced over to Jillian. "Tell me you're not going to spread that around. I don't dance," he affirmed.

((Merf... Sayael's father was from the Kingdom or Earth and he was payed to rape Sayael's mother, the queen from the Kingdom of Darkness... >.>;; )) He grinned. "I won't tell anyone of our dance, just as I won't tell Dax that you thought he was a woman. After all, it's a rather easy mistake to make, especially when he is masked so that his scar doesn't show." His grin widened. "And I do beleive that hair tends to grow with time."

He nodded. "Yes, I'm already aware of that fact. That's why you cut it off. Otherwise, I'd wind up looking like Sylvia*," he added shortly. He hoped that... Dax, was it? Good thing that was mentioned. He'd thought it was Dot.
"Jillian, is this what you do at parties?... this drinking and dancing nonsense?" It was at that moment that a man slightly taller approached him from his left. "Would you like to dan-" he began, but stopped short. "I don't dance." The male, about Jillian's age though perhaps a bit older, persisted. "I don't know what you mean, pretty thing. I saw you before. Don't you have a dance card? Come on..." He latched onto Faryn's thin wrist and gave it a tug. Faryn gave with the tug, being much smaller. He pulled himself back. "I said, 'No,' I believe. Believe me, I mean no," he insisted, letting his short fuse begin to get the best of him. The man was not satisfied. "I said, "Come on. Let's go. Or do you want to tango behind closed doors, peachy? I like the fiesty type." Pissed, greatly insulted, and feeling the urge to kill, Faryn's lips nearly curled into an evil little smirk. His eyes looked over to Jillian. "Do you think I like to 'tango behind closed doors, Jillian'? Shall I go with him and give him a taste... perhaps add some magic of my own?" Magic, being death of course. Even Jillian should know that. Faryn didn't tango, anyway. Just like he "didn't dance."
(*Sylvia is Faryn's 15 year old sister. Her hair is extremely long and the same tone as his. They get along on extremely superficial and fragile terms. She is a complete flake, but has a mutual disgust for Muertian, who teases her relentlessly.)

He frowned as the man persisted and walked up behind Faryn, slipping his arm around the prince's shoulder nonchalontly and staring cooly at the man. "Let him go," he said coldly, his tone biting. He reached forward and grabbed the man's wrist. It seemed to whither in Jillian's grasp and become old and frail. The man looked down at it in horror and hastilly yanked his hand from Jillian's grasp, to stare at it disbeleivingly. It was lucky that Jillian was masked, because there was a strong hatred on his face that was mostly hidden, although it showed in the glimmer in his usually dark eyes. ((Aaaandd... he shows part of his lineage to the Kingdom of Death. xD))

The man ran off and Faryn was surprised with Jillian's hostile attitude toward one who he could just as easily taken care of. Nonetheless... now he didn't have to shorten his lifespan to take care of a little cretin. He didn't want to have to show appreciation outright though. So instead, he settled for...
"Aw, Jillian, why'd you have to go and scare off my fun? You're acting jeal-- you're acting weirdly."

He turned to the prince and smiled in spite of himself. He really was quite cute, despite anything the young prince might say against it. "Sorry..." He knew what the other had been about to say and permitted himself a small small. Well, he had been jealous. He wasn;t going to just let some man take Faryn from him.

Without wanting to give it mention, Dax actually thought the dance was rather enjoyable. Sayael was a wonderful dancer, he noted. Though he had never admitted it, the blonde prince loved to dance. It was one of the few lessons he had always looked forward to. "You're very light on your feet," he commented, not noticing the two -Faryn and Jillian- looking toward their dancing forms. "I'd.. also like to apologize for how my initial greeting toward you went. I had acted slightly on the rash side. It was quite unbefitting of me."

He smiled, for once a smile that did not seem strained, sly or as if he was laughing at the other from behind his eyes. It was quite a nice smile. He could always tell when his partner enjoyed dancing just as much as he did and it was a pleasant change from what he usually had to deal with. "And you yourself dance very well." He listened to the other's apology and would have waved it away if they hadn't been dancing. "There's no need to apologize. I'm not exactly the nicest of people when I'm in a bad mood and I had... reasons for a bit of an upset."

Good thing the dance wasn't too fast or else he would have had to put more thought into his footing. The pace gave him proficient time to pay close attention to what the Darkness Prince was saying. "Reasons?" he questioned, his tone hinting at the curiosity within. "I would understand if it was merely my words that soured your mood, but what other reason would there have been? Don't tell me it was because you were forced to come to this party."

"Well, I must say your words did add to my progressively bad mood. I didn't much mind attending your party - it was an excuse to leave my own kingdom. But you know the geography of the Nation and how my kingdom is so unfortunately situated with the borders facing two 'enemy' kingdoms. There have been many raids of out borders lately, mostly from the Kingdom of Fire. There was aparticularly bad one I got word of earlier today and it wasn't the most pleasing thing to hear of just before a party." None of this unpleasantness showed in his features, other than a slight tightening in his grip on the other's hand.

Dax made sure not to pull away from Sayael's tightened grip. The Prince of Darkness was doing well to hide the tenseness that would usually follow the talk of such an invasion. "Ah, yes.. The Fire Kingdom," he restated, taking the look of unpleasantness for the other upon his own expression when mentioning one of his own Kingdom's rivals. "A nuisance to us all.. I'm surprised you found time to come here while such attacks were happening. I'm not sure whether I should be honored or worried of your Kingdom's standing."
