Now having her stand upon one of his fingers he still couldn't believe that there was a little fairy in front of him. Though he couldn't help but pity her a little when she explained her job. "That sounds rough....I bet it gets to you sometimes huh?" he asked as he moved to the kitchen.

Oh well, might as well make the best of things right? Though he still could care less about Christmas and everything, it was nice to at least have someone to talk to. Jowy didn't know many people and everyone was usually busy this time of year.

Pulling out a box of gingerbread cookies he tore of a piece and handed her one. "Here..you're probably hungry." he said then leaned on the counter staring at her like a little child would curiously a bug. "I've got other things here if you want something else..."

At least she wasn't his size. Jowy wouldn't know what he would do with himself honestly if she was around his size. A little fairy would be no problem but a life size one, would be a whole other story. If anything he could always trap her in a jar, poke a few holes in the top for air, and put a little food in it, so he could escape. Though he couldn't do that with a human sized fairy. She probably would end up dragging him to all of those silly Christmas plays and events and stuff.

Turning his attention away to the decorations in his house he frowned a little. Jowy really didn't want to celebrate and he was being forced. Maybe he'd fatten her up so she couldn't chase after him or something, yet she probably would find a way to still bug him. Face it, he was stuck with a jolly, hard working, fairy.

"Well help yourself then." he said tilting the box and leaving it open for her once she was done with her cookie. Giving a shrug he gave her an annoyed look. "Wow you're so sickly happy aren't you? Then again I guess you're supposed to be huh?"

With a sigh he gave a shrug, "Alright what do I have to do to get you to leave?" he asked crossing his arms.

Man this fairy was smug. The whole fattening up idea was starting to sound better and better already. Though he couldn't do that..it was wrong. "So what kinds of things are we going to do then? In case you haven't noticed you're a small fairy and I'm a large human!" he grumbled getting his face close to her small frame.

"Also...Lis is kind of an odd name for a Christmas Fairy. Shouldn't it be something generic like Holly or Snowflake?" he mused lightly. He would try everything to just get rid of her! Jowy didn't need any cheering up, he was fine already. This little creature was very persistant!

"Heh, well as long as you don't silly string my hair or anything when I wake up. Anyway it's late, so I'm going to bed! Knock yourself out with the cookies, and make sure to be gone when I wake up!" he said walking over and turning off the kitchen light.

"Oh and BAH HUMBUG!!" he teased before vanishing into his room, yet not before unplugging all the lights in the house leaving it pitch black. It was late after all.

Brushing his teeth he entered his room and closed the door, stripped down to his boxers and fell asleep. Maybe this was all just some crazy dream. By tomorrow everything would be back to normal. Or at least he hoped it would.

He woke up to a bright snowy morning. After getting dressed he sleepily made his way downstairs. Ignoring the Christmas tree and all the new decorations his nose caught the smell of something baking. "What the! WHAT IS THIS TREE DOING HERE!!??" he shouted and entered the kitchen only to find it filled with cookies. Apparantly someone was still baking because he heard humming.

"What YOU!? I...I wasn't dreaming the whole thing!?" he gasped his mouth agape. Starting to get mad he shook his fists, "Stop your Sing-GRMURFLE!!" he started to say just as a cookie flew into his mouth.

Biting off a piece he pulled it out of his mouth and chewed. "Listen...mmmph..I want you...gone...mmmphh...by....wow...delicious!" he grinned and began to wolf down the cookie. "You're really good at this!" he smiled then stopped his hand from reaching and grabbing another.

What's gotten into me!? Can't...lose control....she's just trying to curse me or something! I've gotta stay strong! I've gotta...OH MY SPRINKLES!! he thought grabbing a snowman with sprinkles.

"I love sprinkles! Why I remember my Grandmother used to load up the cookies with a ton of these things!" he mused happily then frowned, "Though she died before Christmas came around when I was nine..." Looking at the cookie he put it down and looked away from Lis.

Moving to the cupboards he made himself some cereal and sat down at the small kitchen table he had. Jowy almost lost himself there, damn that fairy was good! He had to keep his wits if he was going to endure her time here.

"It's not just my Grandmother. Over the years I always seem to lose someone or something important to me around Christmas. Believe it or not I used to love this time of year. I've always wanted to get married and have a family, and make up silly traditions to do with them each year..but I just can't get happy anymore." he sighed looking over at her.

"I mean, you'll leave too once I'm all 'Christmas Cheered Up' so what's the point? My heart is just too shattered to really care about this stupid holiday anymore..That's why I'm such a 'Scrooge', or whatever else you like to call me. Personally, I don't mind if other people celebrate this holiday..just leave me out of it!" he said softly. Jowy was honest, he had never told anyone this before. Fairy or not..part of him was glad she was here...a little glad.

He looked over at her and smiled gently. "...there is some truth in your words..yet to be honest..I really don't know HOW to celebrate anymore. I don't know many people, and my family is usually too busy. Plus I don't have anyone to celebrate and kiss under the mistletoe with and...bah..." blushing he looked away.

"I err...uhh...thanks Lis. You're very sweet, though maybe you should just go. Go back to the people who care about you and love you. I'm just too lost of a cause for you." he said truthfully and sadly.
