Mario landed effortlessly on his feet, or tried to at least. Instead, he collapsed on the floor for a moment before jumping up.
Merlon had begun to pace, desperately trying to think of a counter-maneuver.
"We could, perhaps, find Dimentio... I advise not letting him find us first; I daresay might what happen if he does... We must formulate a plan to stop him. Anyone have any ideas?" Merlon said. "Anyone at all?"

"I haven't the slightest idea- it seems my plans have abandoned me.. all I can really say is that if Dimentio is as smart as he claims, he'll probably try and kill us now, whilst we're all weakened." he said, bluntly.

Mario put his hand on his chin. "Hmm..."
Mario's eyes popped open and he looked over towards Merlon with a look of pure disturbance. However, Merlon was too deep in thought to notice.
"So far, we know that Dimentio does not believe in love, which is his greatest and, as far as we know, his only weakness... We also know that he is seeking help in order to destroy us... Mario, who hates you the most, not including Bowser?"
Mario raised an eyebrow, and then proceeded to start sifting through all the innumerable beings who wanted his head on a platter.
Mario shook his head and said,"Dimentio."
"Oh," Merlon said, and then flipped through a couple pages of the Light Prognosticus,"Blumiere, do you have any clue as to Dimentio's past or origins?"

Blumiere shrugged sadly "I have theories, nothing more- and I can assure you, none of them would probably hold any truth.." he mused quietly.
"all I can really say is that he obviously had some deep connection to the dark Prognosis, and I have the slightest idea that he was the one that pushed me off the cliff.." he said, his tone making it obvious that he knew more, but was uncertain if his thoughts were correct.
"and if he was around to push me off the cliff.." he began, his voice drifting off- then again, he easily could have been connecting dots that weren't actually there.

Timpani tried thinking like Dimentio would-but she quickly gave up, it was too dark.
Aw, Timpani could remember when Blumiere fell off that cliff. He was so badly hurt-but that was how they met. "If he was the one who pushed you, then......then.." She didn't want to say more.

"..." in all honesty- he didn't know what to think about that...
"then it doesn't change our situation in the slightest- he wants to kill you, Timpani- no amount of past coincidences can change that" he said softly.
"because it was fortold in the prognosis.." he replied to Merlon, with a sigh. "we had to meet, in order to..." he winced at the words coming out of his mouth.
"everything was planned- my fathers misguided cruelty, my sheer stupidity- everything- for all we know, this conversation itself could have been planned out already.."
He could only hope that Timpani wouldn't be injured to know that their love was part of the worlds destruction.

".....Oh...." That was all she was able to reply with. She was very sad, but doing a good job at holding in her tears, she didn't want Blumiere to be worried about her. Even if they're entire relationship was planed out ahead of them, she still loved Blumiere with her whole heart.

Merlon flipped to a spot in the Light Prognosticus. There, between two ancient pages, there were obvious signs that some of the pages had been torn out.
"I sympathize with you, Blumiere. The Light Prognosticus, like the Dark Prognosticus, is missing a few pages..." Merlon said, drifting into thought,"As if someone didn't want us to read them... That jester owes me a few missing pages."
"It's very possible that those missing pages very well hold more about Dimentio than he would like us to know about him, therefore, we must set our sights on the recovery of said pages. If not, perhaps we can find the information we seek another way... Does anyone have ten coins?"

Blumiere flipped 10 coins into existence, and replied, mostly to avoid the situation at hand "I hate to break your little bubble of joy, but.." he hesitated. "if Dimentio ripped said pages out- he'd still have them- and walking into his grasp now would be... suicidal... perhaps if we found some way to steal things, one at a time..? after all, we need to find a way to reverse the hypnosis on Bowser and..." he winced inwardly at his way of avoiding things, and turned to Timpani.
"I would have told you sooner, just..." he tipped his hat down, unable to meet her gaze. "anything you wish for is mine to grant, my love- even if it can't make up for it.."
