 "That's some random girl that was floating in a boat out in the ocean near here," said Kaileigh, "I belive she said her name was Amaya." Kai watched horrified as Jerome fall to the deck but he started snoring in a couple seconds that relieved her. The after a while he started screaming and moaning. Kai crawled over to him and started shaking him and calling out his name then she turned to Dahlia, "He won't wake up!"

 As scared as Dahlia was for the well-fare of her friend, there really wasn't much she could do with the state her body was in. Letting out a grunt, she rolled onto her stomach and painfully pulled herself over to Kaileigh and Jerome. "Jerr, wake up!" She grabbed his shoulder giving it a reasurring squeeze, "Your friends are here, it's okay."

Lake looked at the injured Jerome and had a pissed off look on his face. "Hey lil bro I know you better than anyone you wouldn't let stuff like this stop you,fight the pain!"Lake was very angry he couldn't believe his best friend would go down so easily.

"Say that one more time you a*****e and i swear i'll knock your teeth." Jerome slowly said as his eyes opened. He knew who said the insult to him, the block head Lake. Jerome tried to sit up but couldn't as his whole body felt numb.

"Baka!!!" said Kaileigh looking over at Lake. Her nerves still weren't completely together after the event with Dahlia. She had an odd feeling of panic in her mood that seemed to raise as all of them seemed to be falling.

 Jerome wondered whats with the sudden mood change of his. He was usually smiling but now, he felt so pissed of.

Amaya just stood there quiet letting them take care of themselves. She'd been recruited apparently but she still didn't know them well enough to go diving in to try and help someone if their friends could help him. She raised an eyebrow at them swearing a little bit but she still kept quiet letting out a sigh.

Lake went to the kitchen and decided to make himself a sandwich.He had bought some bread while the crew was in loguetown. He added some ham,cheese,lettuce,mayonnaise,and ketchup. He finally finished and had a excited look on his face.He had been starving ever since he used his devil fruit powers. "Hey Jerome want a sandwich!"Lake said yelling.

"Don't talk with your mouth's full..." Jerome said back a it felt like he was about to explode at Lake. He turned to Amaya and said "Sorry about that, as you can see, this crew isn't normal."

Kaileigh looked back and forth from Lake to Jerome. Jerome didn't seem to be himself at all. Kaileigh frowned and went and sat down on the steps not wanting to be in the middle of the two if Lake and Jerome started fighting.

"Its okay, normal is my strange," Amaya said hoping up onto the boat and just sitting on the floor while she took her blades off of her belt.

"Good to know." Jerome said in a half smile.He still felt like exploding but he needed time to calm down. He slowly got up, his body being able to move a bit and he walked toward his dorm not saying a word to anyone else.

The ship eventually flowed with the current until it reached the reverse mountain. Slowly the ship went up following the flow. Everyone was amazed at this event as non has been through the grandline. Tales were told about this strange occurrence but experiencing it was much better feeling. Eventually, the ship fell into the grandline, finally. After so long of waiting the beginning of the journey is now.
It wasn't much of a welcome, more of a graveyard as many ships parts were floating about, now and then, hitting there ship. Some parts were still on fire,an event that could only be cause by a logia.

Lake finished eating and was in a good mood. he approached his brother and remembered something that had happen when he was younger."Hey Jay remember when those older kids were teasing you and picking on you..and remember when I save you and we both ended up getting beat up. Your mom was so angry at us for beating them up."Lake said while smiling.That day Lake had taken the blame for Jerome. Him and Jerome beat the s**t out of a group of kids. Jerome ended up putting one of them in the hospital. Lake had taken the blame that day,ever since than Lake has been treating Jerome as his younger brother.
