After training in the Soul Society for almost a week, he finally returns to Karakura Town. "It feels good to be back." Ryu says with a smirk on his face, he suddenly starts to fall. "Crap!!!! Why did I have to end up here!!!!" Ryu stopped inches from the ground. He then let out a sigh of relief, he then started to walk to Orihime's apartment.

When Ryu arrives at the apartment, he knocks on the door. "Who is it?" Orihime says as she opens the door. "Yo! So what I miss on Rider?" Ryu says as he smiles. "Well, there was this awesome where Rider did these awesome attacks!" Orihime then began to act out some of the moves. "You recorded it right!" Ryu said getting a little excited. "Yeah! Let's go watch it now!" Ryu then walked into the apartment, closing the door behind. They then sat down in front of the TV and started to watch Rider, this was a typical day for them.

He went to the woods to practice when he got there he left his gigei and activated his shikai revealing a sword handle he swings it as trees fall down

When Ryu arrived at school he saw Ichigo and Rukia. "Oi! Strawberry! Kuchiki-chan!" he said as he walked over. "Stop calling me Strawberry!!!!" Ichigo said as he raised his fist. "So what happened while I was gone? Anything serious." "Not really... It seems their attacks are becoming less and less lately." The bell then rang and Ichigo and the others started to walk to class.
