Mikiela Mikiela took a deep breathe and let it out with a lot of swears. She ran through all the possible defenses and discarded them as soon as she came up with them. Unbidden, her brother's advice came to her: "The best defense is a great offense." And then her younger brother's antics with candles popped into her head. Nodding her head to that, she ran towards the wall and jumped through the wall of fire, beating out the flames on her clothes. Just as her brother ran his thumb through candlelights and didn't get burned, so too did she. She raised her hand to her opponent's neck in a threatening way. ((better?))

Lara was wandering around, waiting for her next fight, when she saw that same guy from before the tourney, chatting to the fire girl they had tried to play a trick on.
Oh dang I hope they dont make friends She thought jealously, but after watching for a few more seconds she realised it was hopeless, they were already getting along.
Unless she interjected.
She strode up to the two and stood in front of Kirin, looking slightly down on her(shes a taller girl) with her hands on her hips.
"So, since you won because I went out of bounds does that mean you tell me what went on last year, or not?" She cut in on the conversation aggressively.

(For the record I was going to start over since I hadn't posted here in a while, lol) "Oh hey what's up, I don't believe we have met yet, my name is Phil." Phil said happily, glad to meet someone else, she seemed to have a temper but she wasn't bad looking.

Kirin had just started up a conversation with Phil and was happy that they were getting along...then Lara showed up. Kirin's face darkened and the smile she had just put on her face a few seconds ago disappeared. Not wanting to get in an argument right then she decided the best thing to do was to simply leave. "um...i kinda need to go now and...yea, see you later Phil...Lara." and she started to walk away.

(Meh I though I'd try to tie it in, since it doesnt seem like long ago to me...but oh well xd )
Laras eyes watched Kirin retreat, annoyed she didn't get an answer out of the girl. She wanted to start something, a fight where there was no "disqualified" she would get out for. She made the roots in front of Kirin stick up out of the ground to trip her sneakily and spitefully.
"Hey Phil, nice to meet ya too." She told the boy "Whats up? Well you obviously ARE new! Theres a big tourney going on over at the arena, its pretty cool. I'm in it and so's...Kirin... and you could probably enter if you wanted." She blabbered to him "But its going to get dark soon so maybe it'll be over, I dunno. Its been going on for ages already."

"Oh, I am not much for fighting for no reason, but I guess I could check it out sure." Phil said watching the fire girl go. "What's up between you two anyway? Oh, and I don't like to fight, I just like to prank people, let them start the fighting am I right?" Phil said grinning.

kirin had only walked a few steps when she felt something...crawling up her boot. looking down she saw a few roots and knew who had sent them. She grabbed one of her daggers, slashed through them then after slightling turning her head around to glare at lara she continued walking on.

Lara laughed and hi-5'ed the boy. Was it possible to meet a psychological twin?
"Hell yeah i know what you mean!" She agreed, smirking at Kirins reaction to the stirring. It was hilarious they way she reacted, but the chance of ever having a proper conversation with her was slowly getting away, so Lara wouldn't ever know what went on last year.
"Yeah, well we should go check out the sidelines of the tourney anyway, theres some really awesome fights to watch sometimes- and nothing else is happening till dinner." She suggested to her immediate companion.
Chris walked out of the loos, disgusted with himself for being so soppy and emotional. The younger chicks liked it but it annoyed the hell out of him, so he was trying to be tougher.
He reached the courtyard and saw the 3 people there. Kirin trying to leave.
Maybe I'll try again. He thought, beginning to walk up to her.

"Alright sounds great!" Phil said happy to find someone he got along so well with. Looking up he saw a boy walking out of a building, he looked mad, but hopeful looking at the girl he had just spoken with. "What's up with this kid? He looks like an easy target right about now, or is he someone best not to bother?" Phil said temptingly, he would sure like to see what he could do to mess things up right about now.

Lara shrugged at the suggestion, but grinned that Phil was so quickly in on her game.
"I dunno him. Looks like a bit of a pretty boy, maybe we should mess with him a bit. Though he is a senior. But that only makes it more fun." She reasoned, her green eyes glittering as she gave a short giggle.
"You go launching water balls and I'll grow up some nettles?" She concocted a quick plan and set to concentrating on the tiny stinging plants dormant in the lawn, growing them up around Chris's feet.
Chris walked up to Kirin, stopping just short of arm length away.
"Uh, sorry about before in the fight...I was being an a**..." He looked straight at her with his piercing blue eyes, and shifted from foot to foot, not noticing the thistles growing up around his sneakers.

"Haha! Sounds good!" Phil said, thrilled to be messing with someone right off the bat. He drew balls of water from the fountain and began launching them towards the boy, who was now next to Kirin, he didn't really want to soak the girl, but she would more then likely get hit in the cross fire.

Kirin was surprises when she saw chris suddenly appear behind her. she felt a surge of relief...and dread wash over her as she nodded and was about to accept his apology when she noticed water balls flying toward them.
She quickly grabbed her daggers and started slashing through them as they came into range. after finishing with them, she looked around to see who had thrown them.

"Eh crap, party pooper." Phil said sadly as Kirin slashed through all the water balloon sized balls. "Ah well, keep it up with the weeds, get her too if you can, I will be a decent distraction." Phil said bringing more water out of the frountain and throwing more balls. While he did that he brought the water Kirin had slashed and slowly made it trickle behind her along the grass. And right as the water balloons were about to hit her, he sent the water behind her at her weapons, so there would be no more slashing his water. "Well this is what I call amusing!" Phil said laughing.

Kirin was ready for the second barrage of water balls. She stood her ground and waited for the first water ball to come into range, unfortunately she didn't notice that there was also water attacking her daggers from behind until the last moment. She turned around and ignited her daggers, slashing through the water and evaporating it as it came at her.
But she was too late for the water balls which she had forgotten about until they started hitting her back.
