Miyuki blinked, she was a bit confused. There was something really weird about Iorlas' sister but she didn't know what.
"But she doesn't want to come with us if she comes?" Miyuki asked as the wagon began to move.

Iorlas looked at Miyuki, a look of confusion on her face as she tried to puzzle out what the girl was trying to ask. Finally, just answered simply, "I very rarely see my sister, and I really have no idea what she ever is going to do. I don't believe I've seen her since I first met all of you. I have no idea if she would come or not. And yet, she always seems to find me, somehow, and that's why I mean she may show up. That ... really is about all I can say about her."
Other than basics, of course, such as her name and similar things, but as to her sister's whereabouts and actions, there really was no way to explain such things.

Miyuki kind of didn't get it neither, maybe Iorlas' sister just wasn't a people person? Maybe that was the case she figured.
"Okay... I think," she finally replied, "I hope I get to meet her."

Iorlas smiled faintly at Miyuki's comment. "Be careful what you wish for," she said softly. "You just might get it."
And then she changed the subject abruptly. "So what do you think of my quiet little village?" she asked Miyuki, her smile growing wider, more sincere. "I understand you weren't planning on spending quite so much time here when you first arrived."

"I liked it a lot," Miyuki replied with a wide smile.
Her legs swung back and forth as she had a good view sitting on the edge of the wagon as it went along.
"I liked learning about all the different types of plants and how it can be used."

Iorlas giggled. "I think Shiro liked that too," she confided to Miyuki, her eyes sparkling brightly. She nodded her head at the neko, who was hunched over his tablet nearer the front of the wagon. "I think he's still looking over it all."
She had been quite amused when she had learned what the tablet was and what it did - and how much Shiro used it.

Miyuki looked over at Shiro and nodded she couldn't deny that.
"Shiro likes to know everything," she replied knowingly, "He's probably organizing it in some way."

Iorlas nodded thoughtfully, and though she was still smiling it wasn't a full smile. "I see," she murmured softly.
Just then, Amalirahc came running around the side of the wagon and started walking behind it, facing the two of them.
"Hey, can I sit with you two?" he asked. "They're talking politics up front and it's boring!"

Miyuki really couldn't argue with that point, she didn't really get politics at all so she too found it boring. That and she thought at times people were just being kind of silly.
"Sure, where's River?"
Since she was the only person missing from their group (as in the children old enough to talk and hold conversation).

"I don't know," Amalirahc replied, running to build up some speed and making a leap for the edge of the wagon. He found a grip and started pulling himself up, but one knee slipped and he started to fall again.
Iorlas reached forward with lightning fast reflexes and grabbed him, pulling him up and making sure he was safely on. "You all right?" she asked him anxiously.
Amalirahc just grinned at her. "Of course," he said, cheerful as ever.

"You could have told us you were going to do that so we could have to told the adults up front to slow down for you to get on," Miyuki pointed out to her friend.
Even though she knew he was alright and as long as he was alright he would see much wrong with it.

"I could have," Amalirahc agreed, "but we just started going, they might have gotten annoyed. Besides, I got on all right!"
He was just at the age where he was really starting to grow, and despite being only nine years old he was already taller than Lin, showing promise of reaching his father's height. Now if he had matured at the same rate, that would be something.
Iorlas could only laugh, though. "You remind me of myself, when I was young," she giggled. "I was once quite foolhardy as well."

"Really?"
Miyuki couldn't imagine Iorlas being foolhardy at all, at least not in the same way that Amalirahc was from time to time.

"Well, it was a very long time ago," Iorlas laughed. "Everyone does things when they're young that they're not proud of when they grow up. I was quite terrible for trying to carry more than I was able, and dropping most of it before I reached the place where I was trying to bring it."
Amalirahc laughed at that. "At least I'm not as bad as I used to be," he grinned. "I used to fall all the time! But now I'm getting better and I hardly ever fall! But then I hardly ever try to jump on the back of a moving wagon, either," he admitted with another laugh.

Miyuki couldn't help but grin at Amalirahc when he said that, even though he could be frustrating he was still funny at times.
"True, so what is the next place going to be like?" she asked him knowing there was a chance he had been there.
