Nic winced at his nasty little mistake. Why couldn't he have at least played it off as a cough if it was too much to even to contain the slight laughter. "N.. No, Aurora," he said, waving his hands in front of himself as if trying to ward away the other's soured attitude, which was unfortunately his own fault. "I'm sorry-" Gee, did it seem as if he had apologized more in this one day than he had in his entire life? "I was just.. surprised. I didn't expect your parents would really go.. this far with the whole princess deal."

The knight's arms lowered to his sides, his shoulders sagging defeatedly. Even a slight pout, unfamiliar on Nic's features, formed on his lips. In short, it actually looked as if he were sulking. Apparently Aurora's bitterness was wearing on him.

"It's not really all that bad," he offered. "At least the bed looks really comfortable."

((I'm guessing I should... go ahead and sneak the lamp in.... lemmee know if this is bad, 'kay? 8D;;;; ))

"I... oh.... whatever...." Aurora said, huffing a large sigh, he allowed his hands to drop down loosely by his sides. He had to watch his... anger level. He didn't want to just fall asleep. After all, despite Nic's promise to... wake him, Aurora wanted to avoid that if at all possible. He glanced back up at Nic. "...Don't be," he muttured finally, after several moments of silence. "Anyone would laugh at this horrid room, wouldn't you agree? And I suppose... the bed... does look comfortable, although it is incredibly... disgusting," he said, wrinkling his nose in distaste to the pale rosy pink color of the overly soft bedsheets. "Bet there's even a pea placed under the matress....."

He glanced around the room several times and then took a few steps forward. "Well... I suppose I'd best get to know my room... even if it'll only be like this temporarilly," he said, his tone rather passive. He strode across the length of the (very large) room, occasionally trailing his fingers across one object or another, the delicate, pale fingers lingering across shiny, smooth surfaces. Those fingers at last came to rest upon an odd... well, Aurora didn't quite know what it was. A frown formed on his lips, brows furrowing to match above.

"This thing looks like a... gravy boat...." he muttured to himself, lips pursed. It just seemed so... out of place in the room -- after all, it was neither pink nor fluffy, or girly in any way, for that matter. He turned the lamp over in his hands, eyes trailing across the different markings and patterns, his perfectly milk-white fingers delicately gracing the smooth polish.

The out-of-place pout melted from Nic's features with Aurora's forgiveness. Wow, he was even going as far as to agree with him. Maybe Aurora was warming up a little more to him. Good thing too. Another second of that cold facade in the prince's eyes and the knight was sure that the saying "if looks could kill" would come true. So, accepting of his ticket out of the way of Aurora's ill temper, Nic wandered idly around the room until he came to the soft bed he had only just commented. Pressing a hand upon the cloud-soft blankets, he hoped he would be getting a bed as good as this one tonight, no matter if it was pink. But really, just about anything would be better than what he had been used to for the past several weeks. Dirt, roots, and leaves never made the best set-up for a bed.

Aurora's quiet comment had him looking in the prince's direction, but just as he opened his mouth to question what he had said, his eyes widened at something going on in his hands.

The "gravy boat" started lightly trembling and from the spout, a stream of cerulean blue steam began to emit. Not long after, the tremor of the ancient lamp increased to the point of jumping out Aurora's hands to land onto the floor with a clank. As the smoke increased into a heavy cloud, it began to take the shape of something... A man. Thin, dark-haired, seemingly tall.. or maybe it was just his bottom half that remained a nearly transparent film of smoke that made him seem that way.

With hands over his head in a lengthy stretch, he exclaimed, "It's about time someone got me out of there!" His bright eyes spotted the two figures in the room with amusement. "Ooo, a double find, is it? Well now, which one do I call master?"

As the supposed gravy boat began to shake about and move in such a mannor than the prince could no longer keep hold upon the object, his pale fingers fell open of their own accord and the lamp fell with a lound clatter and clang upon the floor. Next there was heavy smoke and a man... thing. Only, no man had nearly transparent legs... smoke... things......

Taking a step back, his hands trembling slightly, Aurora raised a hand and pointed one pale, refined finger at the entity. "Wh-what the hell are you?!?" he demanded, voice reaching quite a considerable volume with his newly reinstated shock and horror. What was a... person... thing doing inside a gravy boat, and in his room no less?! Aurora's dark eyes were wide and his soft, platinum locks were slightly askew, and yet the pink tinge across his cheeks made for an effortless, rather winded look that was undeniably attractive. It seemed that no matter what the blond did, he was always sculpted to perfection as far as looks went.

After overcoming his inital shock, or at least that that kept his feet glued to the ground, Nic rushed over to stand protectively in front of Aurora. Still playing the "loyal bodyguard", he believed Aurora's question had taken care of all that was on his mind at the moment. Honestly, though.. He had never met anyone who went through so much trouble in just a single day than Aurora seemed to. This boy was just a magnet for danger. So with a readied stance, the knight waited for any attack this new guy might throw.

But nothing of the sort ever came. The man instead feigned a look of dramatic insult, crossing his arms over his chest. "Wow.. Not even a 'who' but a 'what are you?'. It seems you're a real peach for formalities, huh? What a great way to start off our relationship, missy" he said. In fact, this was actually one of his calmest intros. By now, with many of his past masters, he would have had several weapons and/or spells thrown his way.

"Remy, your personal djinn. Spirit. Genie. Whatever," he said, offering a coy bow. "Here to serve, grant wishes. You know the drill, right?" Whether either of the two did or not, he continued without missing a beat. "Heeey, nice digs you got here." Remy began walking- well.. floating, rather- about the large room, admiring the decor. "You royalty or something? Or have you merely broken in? Personally, I think the two of you look like the most unlikely thieves imaginable. But, hey.. I'm not here to judge. Whatever works for you." Turning back to face the couple, grinning at the defensive aura they gave off, he said. "Now I feel left out. You know who I am, but I don't know you. Care to help me out here?"

Missy. Missy. Aurora's shock had left him, now replaced by a writhing, seathing sensation in his guts. He stepped angrilly in front of Nic, his dark eyes narrowed angrilly upon the self-proclaimed genie. That part hadn't even registered in his mind -- all he had heard was the "missy" fragment.

"Why, yes I would love to introduce myself," he said, cold hostility and bitter resentment mingling quite nicely in his voice with no effort to disguise them. "My name is Aurora. Prince of the land of Far, Far Away. Not 'princess.' Prince." he said firmly. His hands were balled as fists by his sides, clenched so tight that the porcelein apendages were shaking slightly with supressed rage. He was really doing his best not to snap, but it was obvious that it wouldn't last for long. "So yes, I am royalty. But I am not some stupid prissy princess. You can blame my most hideous mother for the decour -- I will be making arrangements to replace it as soon as possible." He unclenched one hand slowly and raised it to brush back the pale locks that were falling into his dark eyes. The angry flush on his cheeks had risen even further, peppering his facade with a lovely sprinkling of rouge. He looked utterly delicious.

There was a long pause where Remy simply stared, unmoving, appalled, after the prince's outburst. Only when his eyes flicked over toward Nic, seeing knowing shake of the head, did he even seem to be an animate object. The rush of action all rushed forth at once, though, like millions of tons of water released suddenly from behind a barricading dam. Doubling over, hands on his sides, Remy laughed. He laughed deep from within his stomach, tears eventually beading in the corners of his eyes.

Behind Aurora, Nic looked as if ready from an exploding bomb.

"You have GOT to be joking!" the genie guffawed, finally able to at least raise his posture a few more inches. "Well, princey, you're definitely the prettiest boy I've ever seen." Wiping a stray bead of moisture from one eye, his tail of mist formed itself into a pair of legs, settling easily onto the ground. Aparently, he didn't get the gist of Aurora's short temper yet. That, or he didn't much care either way.

Apparently, words were not enough for the prince's explosion of rage. "Don't you dare--!" he began, his voice rising in both pitch and volume. But then the genie had gone and full out laughed in his face -- laughed so hard that the prince's face had become beat red out of anger and embarrassment. "DON'T YOU DARE FRIEKING LAUGH AT ME, YOU STUPID GENIE!!!" he exclaimed angrilly, his voice reaching a whole new volume. He was incredibly angry -- so angry, in fact, that he decided to prove his statement. Fists shaking, he roughly grabbed the lower hem of his shirt with both hands and tugged the fabric up and over his head. He looked even skinnier with the absense of the loosely-hanging shirt. His skin was utterly perfect, as well -- wonderfully milk-colored skin that hugged with a perfect softness to his pretty, slender frame.

"See? I'm a guy! So stop frieking laughing at me or I'll have you locked up in that gravy boat for the rest of eternity!!" he exclaimed angrilly. It wasn't often that the prince lost it so much -- but to be laughed at by a shamless, floating... thing.... that was just too much for Aurora. He rarely ever showed that much bare skin in front of others -- it was far too embarrassing -- but now was no time for that. But there was something about that pale, slender figure that was incredibly appealing....

(LOL. Aurora's in berserk mode)

The lift of material shut the genie's laughter off, shaping his lips into an admiring "O". Even if one were watching, it would been hard to catch Remy's sudden change of position. One second he was standing several feet away, the next, he was right in front of the half exposed prince. Having to bend at the waist to get a good face-to-chest view, the black-haired man ran a finger down the prince's naked torso. It was even more appealing to feel, he thought with the silky flesh beneath his fingertips.

"Impressive," he said, a mischievous tone entering his voice. "But I'm not entirely sure I'm convinced. You might have to show me the other half, too."

But Nic would have nothing of that. While Aurora's little outburst of exposure had him up to the ears in a hot blush, something inside of him clenched unpleasantly when he noticed Remy touching the prince. Scowling, the knight took ahold of Aurora's shoulder with one hand while the other moved to jerk his shirt back down. Pulling him back towards himself -possessively, an onlooker might have thought-, he said, "He will do no such thing! You've no ground to touch or speak to him like that!"

There was no place on the prince's body where so much as a freckle could be found -- his perfect, milky skin was just that: perfect, withouth scratch or scrape to be found. Not only that, however, but hardly anyone had dared so much to even touch the prince's bare skin before. A cold shiver ran down his spine as the considerably rougher skin of the other's finger ran down his torso. He was paralized for a mere moment before being shocked into action, his hands jamming his shirt down almost quicker than Nic's. He pulled back hastilly from the genie, trying his best to hide his slender frame with even skinnier arms -- a futile attempt, as it only made him look smaller and more vulnerable than before. His expression, too, would do nothing to keep the other away, as the anger had transformed ever so quickly into mingled shock and fear as well as disgust.

But he wasn't so far gone as to need someone else to speak for him. "D-don't you dare touch me!!" he exclaimed. His face was still quite flushed, but had lost some of the rosy hue due to the shifting of anger to fear.

"Ooo, hey. No need to be so stingy," Remy said, backing off a step. He didn't look to be vasty sorry for having experienced a touch of perfection, though. In fact, a gleam of satisfaction lingered on his facade. "If you don't want it to be handled, don't put it on display, princey. Temptation tends to rule the mind and body.. Even us genies can't always control our desires. Besides, isn't there some saying about how it's unhealthy to bottle up your feelings? But it appears you do a very good job of warding off the effects of that particular omen."

Pausing for a moment, Remy took in the still-frightened appearance of the prince and sighed helplessly. It wouldn't be any good to ruin all hopes of creating a solid relationship with his new master, would it? "Forgive me," he said with a humbled bow. "Being trapped so long in that lamp, it seems all form of my manners has gone down the drain."

But would his new master really be quick to forgive?

Genie. Right. The other had mentioned that earlier, but Aurora hadn't exactly been paying too close attention..... And no matter how angry he was with the... genie thing, Remy had... appologized. If nothing else, his father had taught him to at least control his temper when other's admitted their wrong..... And it was wrong to attack someone who apologized sincerely......

And yet Aurora couldn't quite forget the feeling of that man's finger gliding down his bare chest..... He shivered slighty, dark eyes wavering slightly before they returned to firmly fix upon the other. After several more long moments of silence, the prince spoke, his tone this time much more... reserved. "Just don't... do anything like that again.... please," he said slowly, his expression showing both his reluctance as well as his sincerity. "I suppose I can relate to losing many things after having been cooped up a long time, though mine is nothing to how long you must have been stuck in that..." He glanced down at the lamp again. "....gravy boat...." he said, a small frown on his lips. Of course, Aurora was refurring to his own time spent locked away in that tallest tower, his life diminished and severely beaten down. He glanced over to Nic again, then, and raised a pale, slender hand to rest gently on the other's shoulder. "Thanks, Nic...." he murmured, his tone and expression now much softer.

Unaware of Aurora's 'tower time', Remy simply thought the prince to have a case of the teenage royal blues. After all, what kid would want to be cooped up in a castle all day long? "Gravy boat?" he repeated, leaning over to pick up the dropped lamp. "I'll have you know, that's my house you're calling a food dish." Even though it did seem rather strange to call such a small object a home compared to his current size. Gingerly removing the lid, the genie blew a puff of air inside the lamp and from the spout, a cloud of dust rushed out. ".. Was meaning to clean it up before anyone else found me," he mumbled to himself, peeking inside the hole.

"Not that long, really," Remy said, replacing the lamp atop the surface he supposed his lamp was initially resting. "Eight, nine hundred years this time around, I believe.. I lost count. Hey, but at least I wasn't lost in the desert again. I swear, I was cleaning sand out of my ears for weeks."

Even after it looked as if Aurora had forgiven the mysterious genie, Nic didn't look at all happy with his presence. How could either of them trust something that came out of a piece of tin anyway? Feeling Aurora's gentle touch on his shoulder, the young knight released a breath he didn't realize he had been holding. "Yeah," he quietly replied, the tight hold on his stomach loosening slightly as he finally tore his narrowed eyes away from the other man while dropping his own hands away from the prince. Was it just him or did his hands only move with a certain reluctant sluggishness in them?

Sighing, he wondered just when this day would be over with.

Aurora's eyes widened slightly. How could eight hundred years possibly not be a long time?!? "Eight-hundred years?!" he asked incredulously. Then again... genies lived supposedly for... well, forever. So there wasn't really much of a comparison that was appropriate..... He nodded slowly to the other's words, a slight frown on his lips. He still wasn't feeling exactly... chummy with Remy. He couldn't help but feel rather... wary around the genie -- and he knew from his expression that Nic was feeling the same agitation.

"Ahhh, whatever, I'm feeling hungry.... I wonder where the food is....." he muttered slowly, more to himself than to the others.

((Pleh... short, sorry. D: ))

Remy visibly perked at the mention of food, seeming to be previously unaffected by Aurora's surprise at his number of years of 'imprisonment' (as he would call it). Now, while genies didn't necessarily need food for survival, this particular djinn wasn't one to turn down a tasty meal. Especially one created by something other than his own hands. Here he was supposed to be this all-powerful entity, yet he couldn't create a decent meal to save his life. "Food, you say?" he asked, arching a brow. "Why, if you want, I could go seek the probably hopelessly lost bearer-of-food. I mean, for all we know, they could be lost in the dizzying halls of your castle, leaving you to feast on a horribly cold meal.. If they were ever to find you, of course."
