((Ahh, scary!!))
"FLASH!" Terra screamed. She tripped over something soft, and cursed under her breath. She picked up the thing, which had been squished under her feet. It was the pidgy!
"MY PIDGY!" the little girl screamed, and ran over to Terra. "Thank you!" she cried. "I'm trying to raise my pidgy on my own, but it ran away, and...thank you! Oh...have this!" Out of her pocket she pulled a small Pokéball, and handed it to Terra.
"What is is?" Terra asked, dusting herself off.
"'s a Horsey. It doesn't like me, and I like birds better anyways. It was a birthday present from my mom, because she didn't like how Pidgy pooped everywhere. But you can have it." Terra couldn't believe her luck. Wasn't she just thinking that she wanted a horsey so it could evolve into Kingdra, a dragon type Pokémon? She thought it could help her in the gym match, but then she realized that she needed water to put it in. She thanked the girl, who returned the Pidgy to its ball and scampered away.
Two shots echoed out through the air, and it sent a shiver running down her spine. Terra started to run towards it, but realized Char wasn't following.
"The gym is this way," Char said, pointing to the giant building. It was much larger than all the rest of them, so it was easy to pick it out.
"But the-" Terra started to protest, but Charmander pulled on her pant leg to make her follow. Terra sighed and let herself be led into the gym.
"I'm guessing you've come to challange me?" a voice echoed across the dark stadium. Lights flashed on, blinding all of them.
"Of course," Terra replied, stepping up to the opposite side of the field as the gym leader. He went over the rules, and Terra said she already knew them, having studied them in school.
"Thank goodness I trained two of each kind," Brock laughed. "That other trainer beat my others." John, Terra guessed. He went on ahead of her!
Brock sent out his Graveler. Terra, taking a deep breath, reached for one of her Pokéballs-then remembered nothing was in one of them. She heard the Graveler roar, and she looked up-Char was already on the field!
"Char!" she moaned. She guessed she had no choice but to leave him out there. The Graveler started to use rollout, but Char quickly jumped out of the way, way before Terra told him to. Char had his own plans. He stood in front of a rock, and waited for Graveler to get to him. Just a few feet away from Char, Char would leap out of the way, and the Graveler slammed into the rock.

john dialed the number again.come on pick up john thought after she didn't pick up john left a message telling her what had happended and were he was. the nurse returned with johns bag."oh good."john said as he took the bag."thanks alot."

Char repeated this until Graveler gave up the rollout. But Graveler was way more worn out than Char was, so Char had the advantage-when ignoring his weakness to rock types, of course.
"Graveler, take down!" Brock commanded. Char smiled. Since Graveler was too stupid to make up his own orders, and Char could understand what he was saying, Char had another advantage. As Graveler charged at Char, Char just sat upon a rock. When Graveler came close, Char leapt into the air and on top of Graveler, using the force of the jump to send Graveler into the rock. Frustrated, Brock returned Graveler and replaced him with Onyx.
Char suddenly felt as he looked upon the giant rock snake that maybe he wasn't garenteed to win after all.
"Tail whip!" Brock commanded, and Onyx's tail came smashing down, and Char had barely dodged it. What was that Terra was saying earlier? Something about sprinklers? What were sprinklers?! Living in the wild for most his life, he hadn't a clue. But he did know from Terra that rock types were weak to water types...water...how could that trainer get water on the Onyx? Char looked up at the dark ceiling and spotted several small things sticking out. What was the reason for those things? He wondered. Water also puts out fire, so he'd be in trouble, too...
Without thinking another thought, Char avoided another tail whip and pointed his head at the ceiling.
"Stop him, Onyx!" Brock cried. But it was too late. Char had found the fire at the back of his throat and released a flamethrower at the sprinklers. Water came pouring down, and Char took shelter underneath a rock that had a dent in it from Graveler bashing into it so many times. The Onyx cried out in pain, and Brock returned the Onyx.
"Twice that's happened to me now," Brock muttered, irritated. He sighed, and walked over to Terra. By the time he reached her, both of them were drenched. Out of his pocket he pulled a small badge, and placed it into Terra's open hand. Terra smiled gratefully.
"Ch-char? Mander!" Char cried. Terra looked over at him and gasped, seeing that he was glowing. His form grew taller and more bulky, a dull horn coming from his head. Once the glow had faded, Char could no longer fit underneath the rock, for he was too big; he was now a Charmeleon. Terra cried out in joy and ran over to him, hugging him. Char was now as tall as she was!
Her phone suddenly rang, and she answered it.
"You're Where?!" Terra cried.
((I have to go for now.))

TD had walked around town a bit before she walked to the gym. She walked in and saw Terra and brock drenched.
"Woah..."

Terra saw TD, and looked from her to the soaked Brock to herself.
"Char did it," Terra said, pointing at Char. Char glowered and batted her hand away. Char growled at her, and Terra remembered the message left on her phone.
"John-he's at the hospital," Terra said. "I don't know exactly what happened-only that he got shot, then I hung up. We've got to go see him!"

john sat in the bed his bag cluched in his hand his right hand was hard to move it but his left was fine."wh...what happended wh...why did it happen to me."john clenched the bag harder "why why why."john calmed down he thought of his possiblitys."thers a chance i may never become a trainer again,or the chance that my attacker may try to shoot me again."john thought as all these thoughts rushed through his head."will i every see terras pretty face again.will i ever be able to watch terra and TDs evees evole, will i get to see my evee evole,will i........DIE.....here like this.........no i will get to travel with terra and TD and see there pokemon evlove and i will get to do all those things with out dieing i will."as john said that out loud the nurse walked in."uh sir your phone is still on leaveing a message on your friends phone."john relized it."awwww son of a......" john hung up before he finished what he was saying. "i hope TD and terra get her soon and i hope they dont here that message."

Td swung the door open and stood waiting for her pokemon and Terra.
"I'll be back to beat you brock!" TD called at him.

Terra took the lead as she ran through the small town. She wasn't great at directions, so she asked several people where the hospital was.
When she arrived there, she sprinted to the front desk.
"John," she said breathlessly. The woman nodded solemnly, and directed them to his room.
"John!" she cried, seeing him on the bed, looking pale. Char walked in behind her, looking at the weak John.
Humans are so weak, Char thought.
"Are you okay? You look horrible! Who? And why? Oh, if I'd gone after you instead of chasing after Flash!" Terra buried her head in her hands.

"its not your fault its that stuiped basterds fault oh well the docter said i would make a full recovery in about two or three days to a week.iam just glad the person went after me instead of you guys."john smiled.(i think we should just skip to the next week when he recovers.)

All that week, Terra made plans for what they were to do next. They were going to go off to Cerulean City, where the water badge would be attained. Terra wasn't too happy about this, because she knew that Char would want to fight. But Terra had studied the gyms in the region, and that one was a giant pool. If Char fell in, and his tail went out...Terra didn't want to think of what would happen.
She trained her Pokémon by day, and during meals she'd eat by John's bedside, and sleep in a room at the Poké center by night.

During the week of Johns recovery...
Td stepped into the gym, Brock waiting.
"You said you'd be back,"he said. "Ready? Go, onix!"
He threw his pokeball and out came a gravler. I smiled and nodded to Kyri. She floated onto the stage and giggled.
The Onix loomed over her. She stopped giggling and began to glow as she transformed. She suddently looked like a blastoise.
"Wha-ergh...Onix, body slam!" Brock yelled. His onix raised up, and came crashing to the ground.
"Hydro pump!" I called to Kyri. She readilly obeyed, leaving the onix by the wall. I struggled and got up, bruised. Kyri came hurtling at onix's face using rapid spin, knocking it out. Kyri turned back and floated to me.
"Hmm. Onix return!" Brock said. Onix disappeared back into its pokeball. "Go gravler!"
Flare dashed onto the feild, against TD's wishes. She saw Char. She wasnt gonna stay as a torchic while he already evolved!
"Flare, be carful," TD said. Flare was gonna do this on her own.
"Gravler, Rock blast!" Brock yelled. Gravler grabbed large chunks of rock from the ground and started hurling them at Flare. She dodged them, almost getting hit by the second to last one, and getting hit by the last. Flare got up painfully. She ran at the gravler. Suddently, it grabbed her. She struggled, but he only tightened his grip. Suddently, she pecked it in the eye! He instantly dropped her. She pecked the other eye. The gravler fell to the ground in pain. It stood up with red eyes and yelled when it swallowed bunches of ember! She then used focus energy as the gravler went rigis with pain. Flare tackled it, and knoked it out. When she tacled it though, it smashed its fist into her, causing her to fall back.
Brock returned his pokemon and handed the badge to TD as she picked up Flare. TD walked to the pokemon center and healed Flare...
TD watched Char train most of the rest of the week while Flare recovered sweatdrop

john liked spending time with terra during meals talking about each others past and what it was like when they got there first pokemon. when terra was away john would practice walking with the nurse.the day of johns recovery john decided to suprise terra and td.after john got his orignal close on and gatherded his belongings he walked out of the hospital to were terra was training he walked up behind her spun her around and gave her a hug."iam all better now."

Terra yelped. She hadn't even sen him come up! She spun around and gaped.
"Well, I guess it's about time," she said with a smile. While she had turned away, Char had finally managed to crack the boulder with Fire Punch. He wrinkled his nose and folded his arms.
I finally do it, and she isn't even watching?! he thought. He cried out so that Terra turned.
"What happened to the boulder?" she asked. A second later she realized from all the shards from the broken boulder that he'd already crushed it and laughed.
"Mew, mew!" Mew cried, and Terra turned to face her. She hadn't even noticed that Mew had left her shoulder and was sitting alone by a rock. The small rock suddenly rose, and then crashed to the ground, splitting it in half.
"Good job!" Terra exclaimed. Char glared at her for her getting congratulated and him getting a dumbfounded expression.
