Though the time of day might actually work against him with that one ...as the sun was low on the horizon. The world just waking up, it wasn't a matter of whether the Kecleon would be at this time of day ...when the sands weren't so hot that one found it impossible to breath. When there was actually a chill here that could freeze as badly as the sun could burn.
It was the secret trade out of the desert.

atsuma started to feel cold"ahh cmon!"he thought"i hate this place with out a dought...."he said as he kept walking and yawning getting tired"i always get tired when its cold...but i have a blanket"he looks at the sand"no that wont do..."he thought rubbing his arms

Each step forward brought him through the desert much more swiftly then he had traveled the first time. The sands scouring the earth, but it was the winds that ruffled his hair and sent a deep chill through his blood.
Stopping here to rest was just as bad as if he was trapped in a snow storm ...only those that kept on their feet would live long enough for the sun to warm the sands and make this place once more an inferno.

Though there wasn't much to distract as the signs of a Ekan's passing would be clear on the earth, but the pokemon itself was no where in sight. With this sort of cold, that sort of a pokemon was deep underground.
Atsuma's luck seems to be continuing as he would feel the bite of the cold in his hair, but not just there ...on his skin ....as he would feel the coolness turn dangerous as his hands would feel the chill trying to crawl underneath his skin and deeper into the tissue. To solidify and break, this was why there was so few pokemon about and on the move now.

Though there was no one to help him here, and he was surprisingly enough making good time. The darkness of the day ...if it had shown light would have displayed the long road ahead of him. Though in this darkness that long road seemed endless ...as the stars shown above them ..more vivd and beautiful they why would ever be in the light of the academy or those of the cities that hide them from view.

Words that shouldn't be spoken ....seem to have a power to conjure from the star fill night ....a problem. The Ditto's form turned and twist as Atsuma would be stopped by his own dual image as the Ditto smiles at him.
The pokemon steps into his view as he put his hand on the weapon on is side. Unlike him, he was carrying a sword ...as he smiles darkly. It being pointed at the boy as he issued a silent challenge.

"damn it a ditto!"he thought because it was to cold to speak.
He called out sora but couldnt give him orders so he let sora fight.
Sora ran in the dittos direction using thrash to cruch him into juice

The ditto had already changed shape upon seeing the Bagon he changed again. This time, his body growing smaller and more pink as his shape changed and smushes to that of Bagon ...the pokemon taking the initiative in this fight thanks to the fact that the Ditto had to make a change.
Though even then it was an extremely dangerous process.

The Ditto still transforming would catch him in the midst as the dragon would find a hole instead of a solid body to smash against as it would shrink around him crushing the Bagon for a moment before it whips and throw him away as the transformation would complete itself direct afterwards.
A pokemon that attack instead of defend has no defense ...when attacked back. Though luck was strong that the Ditto wasn't stronger and that the Bagon defense was so high as the Ditto formed into an exactly replica of the pokemon he was fighting as it struck a defensive stance.
