“I’d like to see that,” Nick smiled, picturing a literally glowing Dom to go with the personality. A living Christmas tree. Nick didn’t just picture Dom glowing like a he’d been drenched in glow in the dark paint. Rather his mind gave him the picture of tiny spots of light rushing through Dom at sigh a speed that their movements became a bright blur. If it was accurate at all, it would look absolutely stunning. And on top of it all, gold eyes. Nick was really going to have to stop obsessing about them some time soon. But he’d just never seen anything like them. The hair could be dyed any color. He’d seen students with veritable rainbows on their heads. But this close he knew those eyes were not contacts. They were natural and as unique as the personality dancing in them.

And then the conversation turned to darker matters and picturing light and gold suddenly seemed like guilty pleasures. He ran a hand roughly through thick blonde hair and let it drop again with a limp slap onto the chair. Anger and guilt were the most prominent emotions on his face, tempered by a bone deep sadness. He felt pathetic, breaking down like this again. But the soft whispered words and the touch of Dom’s hair and forehead against him were a new surge of energy, giving him strength to do this. He leaned into the arms that were wrapped around him and raised his hands, holding lightly onto the shoulders now in front of him as he bowed his head, looking for a way to explain.

“Kit was fifteen, I was eighteen. He was held for ransom by a local gang because of our father’s wealth. One of the leaders was a teacher of the school and had them hold him in the basement. My father…” Nick swallowed. Up until then the words had been delivered in a careful monotone, like someone reading a newspaper article. Now anger tainted his words and he inadvertently drew in more energy from Nick, pulling it in as one draws in breath before a difficult task. “He refused to pay. I was the favorite. Kit was good for nothing in his eyes and he would have left him for dead rather than meet the demands. I went by myself, but I didn’t have the money. They wouldn’t give him back to me. I lost my temper.”

His voice dropped and his shoulders sagged as anger was squashed under the frustration and guilt. Hands tightened on the shoulders in front of him and then loosened again. “I was so angry, I didn’t think. I just went for the gun, tried to pull it away. If I hadn’t, I could have gone to the police or gone back to beg my father for the money. I could have gotten him out of there. But instead…” he shrugged and looked away. He raised one hand and pointed his thumb and forefinger in the shape of a gun, jerking it twice as though firing. “He died drugged and tied to a chair in the basement of the school. Because his older brother wasn’t smart enough to get him out. No one gave a damn about him but me. I was the only one he had and because of that, he’s never going to grow older.”

Nick was silent for a while. He realized he’d started shaking, but couldn’t decide if it was with grief or anger or weariness or some combination of all three. Kit had never given a single sign of blaming Nick for what had happened, but Nick blamed himself enough for the both of them.

His voice went cold as he decided to give the last of it. He wasn’t sure why he decided to add this part except that maybe it would frighten Dom away. Because telling the story had reminded Nick that he didn’t deserve a happy pleasant little afternoon of living when he was a murderer. Twice.

“I killed the teacher soon after that,” the blonde said, blue eyes bright as though he had a fever. “I possessed him and forced him to drive his car into a tree at eighty miles an hour. He didn’t die immediately either. He spent forty minutes with his legs crushed and his ribs broken, pinned in the car while he bled out.” And Nick had sat there in the passenger seat the entire time, watching the man without a flicker of remorse or sympathy.

The funny thing was, Nick didn’t even realize he carried the weight of that death with him as he carried his brother’s. He knew he’d felt worse afterwards instead of better as he’d expected, but he thought it was only because he no longer had an active purpose.

Finally he looked back at Dom again, waiting for the confirmation of his own damnation in the gold eyes.

"I'll show you sometime then."Dom nodded with a grin in return. It had been quite interesting he'd been told, almost like watching lightning in those glass circles that arcs up to touch your hand. Ironically enough it stayed in the same colors, a sort of pink-purple and white-gold, he'd found it hilarious as a kid that he matched himself.

Solid arms shifted and wrapped around him to come up over his shoulders while Nick dropped his head. Torn somewhere between seeking comfort and shame, his whole body language was portraying the emotions loud and clear. It wasn't going to be a good story, no story that creates ghosts probably is...but he didn't think this one was going to be of the nicer sort. In a flat monotone Nick started, telling him almost instantly why he hated teachers. And here he'd thought it had been something like a bad grade.

The violet haired male's hands tightened around the blonde when his voice cracked, the memories obviously too much too keep going in the same dissipation tone as he explained that Kit had apparently been abandoned by their father which left an eighteen year old kid no choice but to try and save his little brother himself.

Dom didn't say anything as his tone changed, the guilt consuming the other, lesser emotions, and leaving a shell behind. He really took full blame for loosing against an entire gang of criminals, a gang that already had a hostage they probably had no intention of letting go. The gold eyed male flinched as Nick jerked his fingers twice, imagining the shots he was portraying and seeing that basement once more in his mind, only this time he knew what the stains were.

Silence fell, Nick's form shaking in his arms and prompting him to soothingly rub a hand up and down the blonde's back, but he kept silent feeling that somehow, Nick wasn't done. Something in his body language perhaps that hinted that he had one last thing to say. Dom waited, listening, because he felt that maybe THAT was what Nick needed, just someone to listen.

His gold eyes went slightly wide when he heard the cold tone as Nick explained he'd killed the teacher who had pulled the trigger, that he'd sat crushed in his car and bleed while Nick had obviously been watching. How else would he know exactly how long it had taken? How much more guilt would that add? No one ever felt better for their revenge, no matter how petty the return, some part of them felt the guilt for their actions no matter how justly deserved. Nick finally turned his haunted blue orbs towards him once more, searching Dom's own gaze.

The gold orbs glowed with pained sympathy, an understanding of just what those emotions must do to a person. He had never been put into a situation even half of how horrible that event must have been. His life had been easy and filled with love and hope. How cruel could the world be to push two kids into something like that? How far could even a ghost go before they broke?

"Would they have let him go? Even if you paid them? I imagine your brother knew exactly who they were, what they had done. Especially,"he swallowed, not wanting to say this, but it was the truth and maybe it would help. Nick had said he was supposed to take over the family buisness so he must have been from an influential family, one that could pay a ransom."especially with you dead. That would have made your brother an only child. The ransom would have been more likely to be paid at that point, right? Your father,"the sanctimonious jerk"would he have paid it if he only had one child at that point?"Nick might have rushed in, might have handled the situation wrong...but to Dom, why shoot the second son at that point? Unless they had no intention of letting him leave alive in the first place. Which meant that Nick had at least TRIED, had enough love for an abandoned and scared little boy to rush in and try to save him against gun totting maniacs. That was a lot of bravery, and a lot of love.

"And...I can't say I understand the teacher, I've never done more than bloody someone's nose in a fight, and I ran home crying from THAT. But, I imagine that he would have done it again, to some other little kid. You probably saved lives killing him."It was a horrible way to go, and part of Dom felt bad for the man who probably hadn't understood any of what was happening, but he'd shoot two kids in the basement of his own school! Nick hadn't needed a jury, he remembered on his own, he'd just saved the justice system the trouble of hunting that guy down. As a teacher he would have had a lot of influence over students and for a proved murder...that would be bad. Dom never could have done it, he forgave a little too easily, but that same forgiveness meant he couldn't blame nick centuries later for the death of the man that had killed his little brother.

Thankfully, Dom just let him talk. If he’d interrupted or asked for clarification before Nick was finished, he wasn’t sure he would have been able to find the story again. He’d never told anyone before. Who was he going to tell? He’d clarified a few details for Kit when asked, but by and large Kit was the only other witness left. Having to put everything into actual words, make it physical and real and give it to another person was hard. Harder than it should have been. But he’d done it and it had only been possible because Dom was there listening to him, giving him strength that had nothing to do with electrical impulses. It was about the most confusing bundle of screwed up emotions Nick could have imagined.

He was being held. Not romantically or like a child. Simply like someone who was cared about, who was worth protecting and shielding for a few moments as he sat trembling and overcome. He didn’t know what to do with that. Even in life his father had been far from the affectionate type and his mother wouldn’t have wanted to baby him where their father could see. He wasn’t being babied anyway, just supported. But how was Dom willing to support him like this when Nick was explaining why he didn’t deserve it? He knew the violet haired male was listening because he was reacting, small flinches or movements confirming that he was absorbing everything he was being told. But he didn’t let go. If anything he held tighter.

Nick bit his lip, grimacing as he heard the soft question. He didn’t know. “Maybe, he dodged around it, not wanting to be excused for this. It wasn’t exactly survivor’s guilt given how it had turned out for him, but it was holding on just as strong. “He was alive when I got there. They held him. They wanted something.” He was muttering, trying to find some crack in the story that would show him what he’d missed that could have helped them survive. It had to be there, it had to. People didn’t die for no reason!

Nick expected the words and worse but still flinched when Dom said he couldn’t understand about the teacher. He knew how cruel it sounded because it really had been that cruel. Nick could have reached over at any point and probably found a way to kill the man faster. Or maybe wrote an anonymous tip to the police with a student’s stationary set. But he hadn’t been trying for justice. It had been revenge. It had been rage and pain and give me back my life and my brother.

“Dom,” he said after a moment. “Why are you still here?” It wasn’t a dismissal, it was an hoest, baffled question. Dom was by all accounts one of the nicest people Nick had stumbled across, be it in his afterlife or real one. He was completely genuine, brave enough to stick around for another person when the room around him was trying to sink into hell, willing to listen to a murderer’s confessions because it might ease the murderer’s pain some way, was offering comfort and trying to replace a bit of the guilt and on top of it all he was literally giving Nick the energy he needed to be there, focusing it through his own body for the ghost.

“You try too hard,” he decided with a frown. That wasn’t good. He could easily see Dom burning himself out, getting killed because some ghost took his kindness too far. Or a real person for that matter. Kindness could so often be mistaken for weakness because in the end the result was the same. “I could hurt you so easily.” Nick sounded tired. One hand pushed violet hair back a bit, tucking it behind an ear so he could see gold. “I wouldn’t even have to try. And I told you I killed another teacher. I am drawing part of the life out of you and using it to fake part of the one I lost a long time ago. But you’re sitting there.” And holding him.

"They sound like madmen, who knows what they wanted."Dom told him softly. He couldn't understand how people could STEAL from one another let alone do something so horrible as to kill a child. He didn't even want to try and imagine what went through their brains, because he felt dirty just touching the edges of it.

He sighed, a small sound of pain for the two kids who'd gotten caught up in something that evil and never really allowed to ever escape it. His hands continuing their soothing motions along his back before Nick's question caught him slightly off guard. He lifted his head slightly so his gold orbs could meet the blue belonging to the strangest male he'd ever meet.

"Why wouldn't I be?"he asked in honest confusion. It was obvious that Nick really meant it, he was confused by why he was there. But what Dom couldn't figure out why. The ghost was obviously hurting and a good guy, why would he leave? Because he revealed that he'd been taken advantage off and had a perfectly natural human reaction?

Then his hair was being pushed behind his hear, bringing his attention back to the male in front of him rather than what he would have done in such a situation. Family meant everything, what would he do if someone hurt his? He smiled slightly as the blonde continued, holding him and telling him that he was hurting him by drawing energy off him. Apparently, Nick found it pretty easy to take guilt over something.

"I can tap into the entire power grid, I doubt you can drain that much energy. You're not hurting me at all, I promise. "he reassured the blonde, after killing that one teacher and believing he killed his brother...how easy would it be to become paranoid about hurting someone else? Suddenly something rippled across his senses, the lights flickering above him briefly.

"What was that?"he blinked, turning his head as his grip on the ghost loosened slightly as the energy in the school shifted subtly. It wasn't anything he could pinpoint, because it wasn't like anything he'd ever felt before. It was a bit like having an itch he couldn't reach.

Nick laughed. It was a completely inappropriate sound for the situation they were in, but he couldn’t help it. Of course Dom wouldn’t understand why Nick was so confused. He wondered if Dom was too nice to fully appreciate the violence in others. He could hardly picture Dom in any kind of fight that wasn’t purely defensive. Nick decided it was a godsend that the man could inadvertently tap into a far greater power. It would draw trouble, but it could probably be channeled into protection at the same time.

“If you’re sure,” he said after a moment of careful study, making certain that Dom wasn’t lying or even exaggerating about how much it cost him to sustain a ghost in the physical world. Nick for his part was getting very comfortable with the facsimile of life. His mind was looking for a distraction from his earlier confession and decided to focus on this new phenomenon. Did he have a heartbeat now? He couldn’t tell and checking his own pulse would have looked stupid. He found himself reluctant to look any more foolish in front of the male before him.

His eyes widened as he felt the same ripple that Dom did, but unlike Dom, Nick recognized at least part of the energy. He was on his feet in an instant, pushing Dom away so that he could stand. “Kit,” he breathed, answering a question he hadn’t even really heard. His head swiveled while he located the right direction. It stopped when he was pointed straight at the cafeteria.

He moved before thinking, stumbling his way towards the door as he broke the contact with Dom, his form flickering as he tried like mad to shed the solid state that kept him from walking straight through the walls. It took a few seconds with his concentration as frazzled as it was, but then he was gone. He might have still been visible to Dom’s unique ability, but no one else would see anything. The blonde was instantly running, tapping into the school’s power to make himself inhumanly fast and leaving a streak of cold air behind him.

Dom really did enjoy hearing his laughter, given what they had just been talking about it was good to know that it could still come out. It meant that no matter how dark the moment Nick would be alright, he could pull out of it. But how much could a ghost change? Would he be locked in his guilt forever?

"I'm sure."Dom promised, nodding his head to reinstate it. He really didn't feel anything that hurt, briefly when he'd completely cut off his connection to the electronics around him it had felt odd, but overall he really couldn't even tell that it was happening to be honest.

A moment later though he got his answer to the question
"Why wouldn't I be?"he asked in honest confusion. It was obvious that Nick really meant it, he was confused by why he was there. But what Dom couldn't figure out why. The ghost was obviously hurting and a good guy, why would he leave? Because he revealed that he'd been taken advantage off and had a perfectly natural human reaction?

Then his hair was being pushed behind his hear, bringing his attention back to the male in front of him rather as Nick suddenly was on his feet and pushing past him with a name he'd only just explained a minute ago before he was running towards the door. He remained solid for a second and then he was flickering out like a true ghost and gone through the door. Nick's brother was apparently in trouble.

"Uh oh."he would have cursed if he was prone to do so as he struggled up to his feet, he tripped over the chair and hit his knees hard on the ground. Hissing he pushed himself upright once more and ran to the door, jerking it open and stumbling into a full run down the hall. Behind him the door clicked closed, locking, with the keys sitting on the dresser next to his bed.

"Which way?"he panted, jerking his head around before closing his eyes and connecting deeper with the school until he could fully feel it. He bolted that direction.

Dom was actually quite proud of himself. He'd managed to stop a crazed crossdressing teacher, he STILL couldn't believe the man had been actively trying to hurt someone and done his duties as a teacher's aide to get Yukio to safety. He wasn't exactly calm about leaving him in the hands of his 'sister' but he hadn't seen much choice once the ambulance arrived and wouldn't let him come. He was a little worried about Kit, but given he hadn't sensed a sudden decrease in energy in the school he assumed both the brother's were alright.

All in all, he'd done much better at his job than he expected....given how he felt about violence he should probably have given HIMSELF a gold star. But there really wasn't much more for him to do, except wait at this point. The hospital had his number and he'd gotten word a few minutes ago that his student was alright and would be sent back when they were sure he would be fully recovered. That just let him waiting on Nick and Kit.

The violet haired male came to a stop in front of his door and reached a hand into his pocket to pull out keys, only to come out open handed a moment later. Huge, horrified gold eyes stared at the door like he could see through it as he quickly ran through the events in his head. He couldn't remember, but he didn't think he'd picked up the keys before rushing out.

"Ah luck, why have you failed me now?"Dom sighed, reaching up and running a hand through the mess that was his hair. The static electricity he'd feed into it earlier hadn't helped with the punk look in the slightest. As he did his gold eyes slowly focused on a streak of red and black/brown going down his arm. Frowning he pulled his hand back and turned it over to follow the line. He traced it too his hand which was covered in the fresher red which was currently oozing from his hand.

"Uh oh..."he breathed, feeling light headed as he sagged back against the door and slid down to drop his head down between his bent knees. For a moment he felt like blacking out as he felt his stomach rebel slightly. So he closed his eyes and pushed his hand away from him like he could distance himself from it. Frankly it looked rather silly, but he was busy trying not to pass out. He'd survived the Bathroom Incident, as he was coming to call it, but wasn't gonna make it through a little of his own blood. There went his self-esteem again.

It took a while, but Nick was finally convinced that Kit was stable. Or as stable as a ghost was possible of being. He was taking in energy and cycling it at a normal level again, even if he seemed to be still Alseep, recovering the rest of the way from whatever had happened. Nick still didn’t completely understand it and doubted he ever would. He didn’t know if he even wanted to unless the knowledge would somehow help prevent it from happened a second time. As far as he was concerned, the only way to truly prevent something like that from reoccurring was to eliminate the source. That… person. Nick had promised to kill him if he laid eyes on him again and he had meant it.

But now he just felt restless. The heat of battle had faded, leaving him with extra adrenaline and nothing to do with it. He couldn’t even talk to Kit and the psychic was off campus. He hovered for a moment, going nowhere, and then blue eyes lit up. But he wasn’t completely alone anymore was he? Dom. He would see Dom. He needed to thank him for what he’d done anyway. There was no telling what might have happened without his assistance. Nick and his brother might have fallen to the madman’s hands otherwise.

He moved through the school, the journey much quicker when one could go in a straight line without worrying about petty things like doors or windows or pedestrians in general. He remembered where Dom’s room was and recalled that he hadn’t appeared to have a roommate. Good. Nick actually felt a bit better just contemplating a visit. Which was stupid, but he had been mostly alone for far too long for lying to himself to be healthy. He enjoyed Dom’s company, even more than on the simple level of being able to interact with someone. And he owed Dom both his own and his brother’s lives. Dom was a Good Person. A potential teacher and a Good Person. At the same time.

He floated in from the back. Silence. Nick frowned and shut his eyes. There. He could feel the strange shift and warping in the energy. He was home, just at the door. Dom would be inside any moment. A second passed…. A minute more.

Nick stuck his head out the door and look straight down at the half collapsed form of the young man he’d been trying to find. Red. There was red, but the fight was over. Which mean… still bleeding. “Dom!” Nick was on his feet in an instant, borrowing enough energy to solidify himself. He immediately pushed the sleeve up, examining the wound. “Call next time!” he scowled.

With his eyes closed Dom was slowly calming his heart rate back down, no need to hyperventilate and pass out. It was just a little cut, probably didn't need much more than a bandage. He got dizzy from HANG NAILS for goodness sake. He really needed to work on this. Having your teacher pass out when you got a papercut probably looked bad. Suddenly a voice called his name from above him and his semi-calmed heart rate kicked into full gear again as his head snapped up in time to have Nick solidify in front of him.

"Holy Brooklyn Dodgers! Warning, Nick, give a guy a warning."Dom panted, pressing his good hand against his heart as he thunked his head back into the door once more. He wasn't exactly used to having ghosts around to this level. Usually he saw them and moved on, maybe got curious enough to research them a little. Occasionally talked to them once more twice. He wasn't exactly used to having people come out of walls or closed doors.

His arm was snagged easily as the sleeve of his shirt was pushed up to reveal the trail of blood. It really wasn't that bad, it had just been going for a while and it was almost already closed already right and...ugh...he felt dizzy again. Quickly he closed his gold eyes rather than keep looking at the hand Nick was holding. He forced a weak smile to his lips.

"It's not bad...I just have this THING with blood...I almost had it. I haven't passed out this time."he pointed out, sounding quite pleased with himself over this little fact. He was getting better! Or maybe he was just still riding on the adrenaline from the fight. Either way, he'd stayed conscious, now if only he could get the blood washed off and a bandaid...he would be good.

"How's your brother?"he asked, to distract himself from the thought of blood as well as because he was genuinely concerned. He knew about Yukio, but the two brother's he'd still been worried about. Nick at least seemed perfectly fine.

Nick shot him a look that couldn’t stay as annoyed as he would have liked it to. “Warning are a luxury of time I do not employ often, especially when,” friends? Acquaintances? Cute confusing gold eyed assistant teachers? “people are collapsed in a heap outside their own door.” So he was adding a bit of dramatic license with the ‘heap’ bit, but he’d been sacred. You couldn’t witness two murders and an attempt at a third without accruing some justified paranoia. When he’d saw the red and Dom collapsed, for a moment he really though he had lost him. And Dom didn’t seem the kind of spirit that would hang around for long. There was barely a weight holding him down in human form. Nothing would keep his spirit at the school the way Kits and Nick’s had.

He remembered his brother healing Yukio in the kitchen. Most of that had been second hand tales and rumors after the fact, but he’d been able to piece things together enough to know that it had happened. There was further complication provided by Dom’s own energy field, but maybe he could tap into that, direct it towards healing Dom itself. That would be a useful trick.

“It’s alright,” Nick murmured, voice softer this time. He allowed himself a small smile now that he knew there was no immediate life threatening danger. He would bleed out eventually if the arm didn’t clot properly, but Nick intended to seal it, skin and muscle and vein and all.

“He’s fine, thanks to you,” Nick said, honest gratitude resounding in the words. His hands were hovering just over the cut now and he was fighting the urge to move back into that place of giggles and laughter and letting himself feel amazingly good and light headed again. Not yet. He could do that in a minute but he needed control. Just a few seconds longer…

He began using the boy’d natural electrical field coupled with the unnaturally strong one, weaving muscle and sinew back together. He panted lightly, determination tightening his posture and narrowing his eyes. Very slowly, the wound began to knit. When he’d done all he could, he shimmered in and out of focus sleepily.

I would rather seal their spirits, even if he didn't want me to, then to see him die the same way...

Minagi went to the dorm are and stopped next to a room. Dorm 4. Yukio's room. He unlocked and saw no one inside, and waltzed in. He saw Yukio's clothes on the ground and realized he's been beaten up recently, seeing how his clothes were torn. One of them looking rather bloody, so he just picked them up and decided he'd take it to the dry-cleaners for him. Of course that meant he had nothing to wear the next morning.

However he still needed to be disciplined, so he'd have to try and see if he could convince his sister to bring over some cosplay outfits for him to wear. However seeing how his sister was mad at him, he saw no light on the idea. Until she called him.

After listening carefully to her news, she said words that he never thought she'd say. "I'm sending over the clothes. Make sure he wears them." Minagi listened as Sora began ranting on how he went through the window just to get back here. How worried Yukio was making him and everything. "It'll be there in the morning. Keep a lookout for him, allright?"

"I was not collapsed in a heap."Dom nodded in an over-exaggerated manner, his tone the light teasing one that suggesting nothing should be taken seriously. "I was silently communicating with the universe, and expressing my displeasure at certain decisions lately. There's a difference."probably because he wasn't used to violence or anything of the sort he couldn't see how his position and the old traces of blood might have seemed like something else. He was used to passing out at the sight of blood, at least this time he stayed mostly awake and he didn't hit his head when falling. It was a high point for the violet haired male. He should celebrate, maybe buy himself some ice-cream.

His grin grew wider, flashing straight white teeth, when Nick seemed to calm down a little upon realizing it was just a tiny cut. The blonde obviously was really worried about him and it sparked a warm glow in Dom's chest. He didn't mean to make him worry and he should feel bad about that, but he couldn't help grinning like an idiot. The grin only got wider and a touch goofier when he found out that the kid was going to be alright.

"Good, he seemed really upset. You can let him know Yukio's alright, the doctor said he should be released in the morning."Dom let him know, feeling better now that he knew everyone was going to be okay. His voice reflected it, a sort of relieved and pleased tone as he closed his gold orbs with a small sigh of thanks. It wasn't until he felt the tingling pulse of electricity against his hand that he opened his eyes again.

Nick's hand hovered over his own, their energies clashing and sending a shiver dancing along Dom's back at the sensation. Slowly his hand began to knit closed, healing right before his astonished eyes. The violet haired male held perfectly still in surprise as he watched the process. It took him a moment to realize that this was costing Nick as he caught sight of his posture shifting slightly. Almost perfectly in time with the healing Nick's form began to fad out until he was shimmering and fuzzing like a TV with bad reception.

"You should have mentioned that would cost you."he huffed, slightly upset that the blonde had hurt himself to heal such a minor injury. He made, yet another, mental note to get better about the sight of blood as he reached out and gentle touched the ripple of energy that was Nick's cheek. It was easily to pull the energy from the electrical in the wall behind him and slowly filter it into his new friend. He didn't like people being hurt, especially because of him.

“How could I have mistaken one for the other?” Nick all but grumbled at the explanation, though he could not resist the small upward turn at the corner of his mouth. He tried to remember how the cut had happened? Had Dom been bleeding when Nick had attempted to shield him? He didn’t think so, but then he’d been shutting his eyes half the time. Not the brightest move in trying to protect someone. Though in his defense…. No. No excuses. When you decided to protect something, you didn’t get the luxury of being able to say that things were hard or that you were outnumbered or point out what the enemy or fate had that you didn’t. Golden scythes or guns, you stood against them and you won or other people suffered for it. Nick had no yet won. Minagi could still hurt the two people he had decided to protect. He still had to…

He was distracted from thoughts on mortality by the smile. He found his own slighter smile rising to meet it. “I will do that,” he promised, faintly amused at the growing connection between Kit and Yukio. It was much easier to be amused now that that same connection was not endangering either young boy any more. Maybe Kit really was growing up. Sort of.

He didn’t notice much outside what he was personally doing during the healing, but he was glad Dom didn’t try to fight him on it. With him holding still, it was simple to sense what was supposed to be happening. He didn’t have much experience with this. Who would he have healed? But there was a certain natural flow to the human body, a kind of pattern that could be replicated if you looked for it. It wanted to heal and Nick only hastened the venture. He was pleased to note that this probably meant Dom would have healed in time on his own if the proper medical steps were taken. Proper meaning a bandage or a couple of stitches and not sprawling on the front porch.

“No s’okay,” Nick smiled carelessly, his voice a good deal less distinct that it had been. He tilted his head and leaned it against the hand sending the absolutely, well, intoxicating feeling straight down his spine. He let out a breath and settled down on the front step with Dom, leaning against him. A grin slid onto his face and he laughed against the shirt material. “You probably looked like an idiot trying to get through the door bleeding like that,” he chuckled.“Low budget horror.” He made a noise dangerously close to giggling and cuddled closer against Dom. So warm. Wonderful.

Electricity is actually made up of extremely tiny particles called electrons that you cannot see with the naked eye....
unless you have been drinking.

"I don't know, they're quite distinct. More eye rolling in the latter for example."Dom laughed slightly at the grumble coming from the blonde. He was so serious that it was almost amusing. Although it did make the teacher's aide feel an overpowering urge to make him smile. If anyone needed the healing properties of a good laugh it was the ghost in front of him. Nick obviously cared deeply and let it run a little too close to the heart. Not that Dom could say anything, but the difference was that Dom had never taken his responsibilities that deeply. Or was it that he'd never faced that sort of loss? He wasn't sure. It was sort of endearing, the level of care Nick felt.

His laughter bubbled up in his golden orbs, making them dance with delight when Nick started smiling carelessly and his voice took on that same drunk quality from before. Now though, Dom had a better idea about what was causing it. He probably was a horrible person for not taking the hint and toning down his energy output, but he wasn't a saint!

The blonde was attractive enough to draw the violet haired male in like a moth, and while he would remain professional because he had to be...he couldn't be expected not to give into a LITTLE temptation. Nick settling down on the ground beside him, leaning against him counted as more than a little. His laugh had Dom's grin all but going supernova across his face.

"I doubt I'm that terrifying. More like those sappy romances where the chick collapses at the door sniffling before her prince charming sweeps in with the spare key."Dom's own laughed bounced down the hallway as he shook his head slightly and let his hair flatten against the door as he dropped his head back against it. Nick was so very drunk, it was bringing back memories of high school parties with the college kids. The snuggling wasn't even new, but usually he found it amusing and just helped the person get to the bathroom when they needed it. His reaction towards Nick wasn't quite as kind. He reminded himself he was almost a teacher and kept his hands at his side by closing them into fists.

"You know, I've had people tell me all sorts of things my presence does to them, but I've never had 'makes me drunk' added to the list."Dom drawled, realizing he'd lost his internal battle when one hand lifted and brushed the soft blonde bangs back from his face. He was going to get into trouble, he could feel it. But he could at least fight the fall for as long as possible and not feel QUITE as guilty.

When children are doing nothing, they are doing mischief.

Kit managed the stairs, realizing there was more than a little damage than he'd thought because even with his energy helping it he could feel the strain on the body. Like hell he was letting this hurt Faust further. A short look of darkness filtered through the red eyes that was in no way characteristic of the white haired male. It was pure Kit and he was easily transferring his annoyance to the blonde in their arms as he was now part of the problem. Transferring blame was never hard for the young ghost.

"I think I forgot your room number, Dion-kun, can you make it the rest of the way yourself?"He asked, the trace of a growl in his tone, but it would easily be passed off as stress or strain. Kit was trying to maintain some of Faust's personality or his sake but he was quickly running out of patience and he never had much to begin with. His familiar impish smile spread across Faust's lips as he set him down. Only not dumping him because he didn't want his pet objecting. Smiling he backed away with a small wave.

"Bye, Dion-kun."he called, turning and starting for the room he DID remember belonged to Faust.

"There, I helped him...don't know why."Kit grumbled in their shared mind as he left the other blonde without a backwards glance and walked them into Faust's bedroom...only it wasn't empty.

"The hell?!"He barked, completely slipping in his impersonation as he took in the blonde crossdressing murderer with flat, angry red eyes. Damn, he couldn't risk doing anything because he could get Faust hurt again. He hesitated, torn between backing out of the room and finding somewhere else safer and kicking this guys a** for trying to hurt what was KIT'S.
