*She stayed totally still, letting him realise what had spooked hi, then gently reached up to put her hands on his where they rested on her shoulders. For a minute or two, she'd stay like that, talking to him quietly, reassuringly, before gently lifting his hands and encouraging him to return to the fire side and keep warm.*

Its ok, Iden, its ok. There's only you and I here. We're safe. I wont leave your side. Come on... come and sit with me, lets rest. It will be daylight ina few hours and I am loathe to travel tonight. Come to my side, son, and rest, warm yourself. Its alright. It over now. I promise. Its alright now.

He remained latched on for a few minutes, despite the assurances. After a bit, though, he allowed himself to be seated, though he would not allow himself to be in view of the fire; Roan would always be positioned between him and it despite her gentle urging. Nor would he release her; he seemed to be living off of the ability to hold her arm to his chest as he leaned upon her shoulder as they sat together.

*She didnt chide or force him, she simply helped him to get comfortable at her side, the fire behind her, and drew him against her, spreading the fur rug over his shoulders as she encouraged him to lay his head against her shoulder*

Alright, its alright. Rest Iden. We have nowhere we need to be. I wont leave you, I promise. Im right here, and I swear I wont go anywhere. Keep warm, digest what you have drunk, stay by me. I wont let anyone near you, I swear. You're safe now. Its alright.

*she woudl stay there the entire day if necessary, expecting he would likely succumb to torpor at dawn, whiel she woudl remain awake, guarding, until night returned, if nothing else happened this eve. She could hear men and women in the street outside, but none seemed to come to the door of the house they had stolen into, and that was just fine with her. A few hours of stillness and silence would be good for both of them*

He was hesitant, for all he refused to let go of her arm. Despite this, coaxing the boy into resting his head on her shoulders wasn't hard; her scent did it for her more than anything else. Slowly Iden began to relax as the sun rose, until his body went totally limp in torpor with the dawn. So he would remain until the setting of the sun, where he would stir once more, only to return to his previous position of holding close to Roan in silence.

*She didnt mind, not one bit. She;d prised him off her during the day to scavange for clothing and the like for him, which she gently pressed into his hands as he woke. She sat behind him, keeping her arm close to him to give him space to dress while keeping the safety blanket of her own body near him.*

I need you to get dressed. Im weak after all that time away and still disorientated. I think I know where Im going, but just in case... get dressed to help you stay warm and prevent people from being too shocked if I misjudge. We're going home Iden. Back where we belong, I promise. Its going to be ok, we're out of there now. The bad men are all dead. I promise.

The concept of clothing seemed to be a distantly familiar one; he looked confused as he lifted the different articles and scrutinized them with watery eyes. But slowly he began to dressed, though he never once strayed from Roan's side, nor did he ever let go of her arm in the process...which made the actual endeavor clumsy and mildly comical to watch.

*Gently taking Iden's arm after he was dressed, never laughing at him or even thinking of it, she led him towards the shadows at teh back of the room*

Im aiming for Europe first. Hopefully a place I know in Spain. it shoudl be warmer, at least. Then we can move across to the UK, then home to Gaia. Alright?

*She;d noted he hadnt made a single sound since he'd woken up. She wouldnt question it, but even a slight sound would have been a relief to her. And so she watched him for his response*

She was perceptive...he had not made a noise yet, and when she spoke, that silence persisted. He clung to her side, not making any sign to either kind of answer...not even a nod, or a shake of his head. He just kept close.

*closing her arms around Iden, she didnt even sigh. he didnt deserve to feel she was disappointed - she wasnt. Just... sad. Deeply sad. Only one man remained to pay for what had happened to her boy, and she knew how hard to find he woud be. And that killing him, even if he COULD be killed, wouldnt change a damn thing.
This was just how tings were. And she loved her younger son no less for what he had lived through, and any consequences which would come of it.

She made the jump. To her relief, the shadows responded perfectly, taking them through the locations she intended to visit, before finally... at long last... Durem, and home. In the form of the main hall, where, sedately and gracefully, she slid to her knees, and... passed out, spent. She;d done as she had said she would, fighting through ALL of Pingfang, liberating her son, getting them to safety. And though she could sense ALL she desired around her, she simply couldnt keep her eyes open anymore*

*Cold. That would b the first sensation to hit Roen like a battering ram. Cold.

And dark.

And constricted.

Cora... was a devious little upstart only recently come onto the scene, but he knew his role well already. No actual FRIEND of the DeSeer's, he knew them well enough AND the comment about research HAD been true. It was just that they;d been researching ON Roan instead of WITH her for a few months before she'd inconveniantly escaped and destroyed their facility.
Which beggared the question, WHERE were they now. That was less clear, but it was damned cold, regardless. The next thing to come would be voices.*

And this is...?
The Devil. Roen Jaeger.
Why?
Cant you smell it? Dont you KNOW? No... you never drank. Miss High and Mighty...
He... is not what I expected.
He will do perfectly.
Inform the boss. Keep him secure.

*Cora's voice was there, as well as that of a female and two other males. Darkness seemed to press in on Roen on all sides, before it finally slid back enough to let him see.
Snow and ice seemed to reach overhead for miles and miles... between the black straight lines of bars. Cora had shadow stepped Roen STRAIGHT into a cage, and left his darkness wrapped around the Devil. It was he who now stood close enough to the bars for Roen to see, grinning at him*

So grateful for your help...

Cold. Roen hated the cold; loathed it even. He was no Cainite; but rather a warm-blooded created. Hot blooded, even. Hot temper, too. Betrayal was one of the things that seemed to turn the heat up and bring it to a flash boil. As far as the restraints that were placed around his body, it might have been kinky were it not for the fact that he knew he had just been kidnapped by a liar--well, not a liar; but a deceptive little s**t head all the same. Gritting his teeth and reigning control over his conflicted emotions, the Devil attempted to calm himself now (to little avail) while simultaneously testing the weight and sturdiness of the restraints about his body.

Supernatural. It was everywhere. It encompassed his body and was as sure as the trouble he had walked right into. Narrowing his eyes and listening to the voices around him, Roen would grit his teeth tight and struggle irregardless. Again, he was no Cainite -- he did not posess that absolute strength. It was futile. And then there was Cora, grinning at him like some damnable fool. A smart comment came to mind, and if Roen knew better, he wouldn't have spoken it.

Unfortunately, Roen didn't often know what was best for him. "Groups cost extra, Cora. A hundred for you, two fifty for the other men, and..fifty for the woman, less if she's into restraints as much as you obviously are."

Aww, you're offering already? that'll make the boss happy, but spoils all my fun....

*The man sniggered. ACTUALLY sniggered. He was THAT kind of weasel. He crouched down to Roen's level, and stared at him through the bars*

I wonder just how much devil blood can take? Especially one cured through the b***h's vitae. Neh? We'll find out. Shame the cow managed to get the kid out too. We had hopes for him. We broke his mind though. He'll never recover. Will you hold on longer than he did Mr Jaeger? You wil make a perfect little dog.... neh?

Well, this was turning out to be some sort of interesting. Still pissed him off; but definitely interesting. Roan had been captured if what Cora was saying was true. Iden as well; but Roen wasn't about to conclude anything without proper names. He could only assume, and that was enough. This was no friend of the DeSeers, and Roen was quite sure that things were only going to go from bad to worse. Twisting his neck and moving it side to side in an effort to perhaps garner some sort of free movement, the Devil attempted to lean just alittle closer to Cora.

"Dog? Come closer, and I'll bite your nose off." Tough words from a Devil who was feeling more and more like a cornered mouse. This isn't going to end well..

You will excuse me if I disincline. The boss would have other work for me soon enough Im sure.

Speaking of which... no questions, devil? Not suprised about WHERE you are? The cold? Shame for you, warm blooded as you are. S'ok for us dead. Might want to bear in mind even if you DO get out of here, heavens forbid, you'll freeze to death. I suggest being a good puppy for the boss.

*Cora grinned and leant against the bars, reducing SOME of the shadow covering Roen so it became only chains, not all smothering*

You have about ten minutes to ask before He gets here. Make use of em.

"We're on Earth, Cora." No where near Chicago, though; I can't feel the Redgraves. Means we're no where near the America's The Devil grumbled under his breath, shutting his eyes and sighing internally as the feelings of the Earthly realm finally began to sink into his bones. It was a seldom and welcome feeling to feel the currents of Earth wash over him, so much different than Gaia. As for the Redgraves, they were no allies of the Devil, and in fact were the ones that banished him to Gaia in the first place. Redgraves and Earth were synonymous, though. He could never forget that portion of the past.

As for really pinpointing where it was, it was anyone's guess. Europe, maybe; but he had never been anywhere where it was as bone chilling cold as this. Maybe Russia; but he didn't hear any Russians or accents. It was anyone's guess, really. Most likely the mountains. "I've no words for a peon. Who else is here so that I might talk to them?"

I'm really ********?! I don't have the ability to get to Gaia unless I can charter a plain to Chicago to piss off some Hunters. Do I even have a bank account here anymore? So concerned with his escape, he couldn't care about the next few moments. It'd sap him of his confidence.
