Avarice watched Issac leave, looking at Gregory. "Issac!" Gregory called. "May I join you? If you're going with Lord Sergei, then so am I!"
Then, Avarice looked down at Kirai. "From one war to another." He mumbled. "It would seem us settling is a farther dream than I first thought, but it is to be expected that things would eventually come to a close for The Black Cross."

Kirai moved her hand from her mouth, clinching it so tightly her nails went into her skin causing it to bleed. She was speechless, and it felt like everything had just been taken away from her in less than a minute....

He pulled the hankercheif from his pocket and wiped the blood from her face. There wasn't much he could say, so instead, he smiled at her rather sadly.

A tear went down Kirai's face and onto his hankercheif, then she put her arms around him and began crying silently. It all seemed to unfair, she finally found a place she belonged, a person who valued me, a future, and an organization that I would be willing to die for in an instant if called upon...

He held her as she cried, rubbing her back lightly. "If they want me to become leader of the Lycan..." His eyes widened slightly at the thought and held her closer.

Kirai came to a possible conclusion already in her mind, she wanted to force herself to stop crying, and look up at Dr.Avarice and say something like, 'Well that will be great! Right? Besides, then you will probably be able to do more research...' after thinking this out, she managed to say it sounding alright. "Well, that will be great, right? Besides, then you will probably be able to do more research..." She remained close to him, knowing she couldn't fake a smile while saying this, reguardless of how she sounded.
Banshee looked down, then quickly left unnoticed.

He growled. "I don't CARE about research! If I became leader, I'd make sure that they kept their hands off of you! I'm just...uncertain about what you'd do...Would you turn your back on your own kind?"

"Honestly.... I have never even considered others to be that, and would do the worst of things to some of them if I could." Kirai said simply, she felt a little emotionally numb at this point.

She then looked up at him, managing to pull off a smile. "Surely this can be avoided somehow. If the Black Cross splits, I personally will see to it any surviving members come back after or during this potential war. Now, do you want to go back to Haven?"

Kirai let him pick her up, and thought to herself, life is not like gloomy sunday... with a second ending where people are disturbed, well they should be disturbed... because there is a story that ought to be heard... She smiled lightly and a little sadly, "Thank you."
