Kel took a deep breath, he ran his hand down his face then looked at the crater for a moment. He had a bad feeling about the diversion ploy. I suppose I could fess up, but it wouldn't be hard to make something up with a crater that size... "Someone dropped a bomb and we came to check it out... A particularly angry ogre smashed the ground and stormed off... The drunkard there tested a new technique..." He looked up to the tower he jumped from then shrugged. That was pretty far up though.

Kiro sighed, "Sorry Ma'am." He looked at the group of three, "As a knight of the Royal Water Core... I got to ask one more time, who made the crater? Either one of you guys are from the Earth Nation, or someone can withstand one great impact..." He didn't want to get them in trouble, "I won't tell anyone if someone fesses up. Unless it is a special case in which the proper authorities need to know of."

One corner of Zig's mouth raised at the water knight's sigh. Frustration was generally her objective and she'd gotten close enough to be satisfied with herself. She liked that this knight wasn't trying to get anyone in trouble, but she figured it was up to tavern man to decide whether or not he wanted to reveal himself.

Violet was just arriving at the castle when the ground shook. "That was odd." she simply stated to herself and quickly continued looking for what she came for. She then spotted the creature on top of the castle glaring down at her. It obviously had no intentions of coming back to her easily after she had abandoned it. She sighed and ran at one of the walls surrounding the castle and jumped up on it. "Don't make me come all the way up there." she yelled up at her bird. It looked at her but made no move toward her. "Great..." she growled to herself jumping down from the wall and heading to the entrance of the castle to find a higher up window to climb out of.

After taking a deep breath, Kel spoke up. "Ok, it was me. I stumbled from the tower there and landed here." He reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a small paper scroll. The paper was slightly tattered and eaten, but resonated with a faint magical energy. Letters written across it glowed in a light blue hue as he held it up. "If not for one of my shield scrolls, there'd be a bloody mess at the bottom of that crater."
((Wow, they really crippled all their flash for this didn't they?))

A phantom like figure was watching the seen and as the last comment was made, disapeared around the corner.

Violet ran inside the castle while thinking about which room she could go into for the easiest access to the roof. She didn't want to go into anyones actual room but if she didn't she might have to climb more than she'd like to. She quickly headed for the stairs in a sprint climbing higher into the giant castle. When she finally reached the sixth floor she was out of breath. "Well that was a dumb decision" she growled while sucking in a breath of air, "You are one dead bird... i swear...." She leaned on a wall while her breath slowed.

Amaya walked down the path towards the castle, looking up at it continuously as she walked. When she finally found herself standing several yards away, she stopped. And how exactly am I going to confront Colm? 'Oh hi, I'm Illusion's little theif-friend that's decided on giving up my past life to become a government official. Did I also mention that I'm from the water kingdom while you're from the fire kingdom? We're mortal enemies too~'
She grimaced and looked at the ground, taking in a lung-full of air. Looking back up again, she knew that she probably should give up her water element to stay in the Capital and get a position. None of this was going to be easy anyways, but it would be more convincing and show her willingness to work in the government if she gave up the element....
She took another deep breath and walked towards the doors. Now I just have to find Colm and hope he'll accept my help.

Kiro nodded," That's good enough for me. Just watch out for the actual Castle Guards. They don't like magic within the outer walls." He then looked at the other two, "Watch out who your companions are as well. And you who talk to. With a scroll that high, I would watch out. The only other person that would of survived that was an old elemental of earth. From the history books." He turned, "Have a good day you three." He put his hand back on his hilt as he walked back toward the Barracks.

Zig nodded to the water knight. That was useful information. Luckily she rarely used her magic for more than basic tasks like putting out candles. In fact the only times she did otherwise was when she was trying to improve, in a fight, or hindering someone who'd annoyed or insulted her. So far there was no reason for her to be throwing around magic so she wasn't too worried about that. What intrigued her more was the fact that only a very strong earth elementalist could have withstood that fall. What exactly was tavern man? "Well, now that I've tried to save your skin unnecessarily I suppose I ought to introduce myself," she began. "I'm Ziggurat, usually referred to as Zig." She stuck out one hand to shake that of the, as of yet, unamed man.

Colm phased into the castle grounds from the fire nation. "That's a reunion I never want to go back to. I hope this place didn't get destroyed with out me." The king walked through the doors where a familiar girl stood. "Um Miss, can I help you with something?"

Taun thought the man was trustworthy enough, even if he showed off his magic a little bit. But he decided to follow Zig's lead. "And I'm Taun," he said after Zig had put out her hand. "and surprising though it may be I am not drunk this morning."

Violet slowly opened a door leading into a small dark room. It obviously wasn't occupied at the moment. She gave a small sigh of relief and made her way over to the window. She propped it open so she would have a way to get back in and stepped out grabbing on to the window pain. She looked up and the roof wasn't that far out of her reach so she sprung up off the window's ledge grabbing the roof tiles and pulling her way up. When she reached the top her raven glided over to her landing on her shoulder and rubbing its head against her cheek. "You're sure a suck up" she said patting it on the head and moving over to look out over the courtyard of the castle. 'Might as well take in the scenery while i'm up here.'

Amaya nodded after Colm's question. "I was wondering if I could possibly get a bit more involved with helping you out. There hasn't been many officials around since the late queen's death and all.... Plus, I don't think that anyone can really forget about a decision as big as picking a new king." She shook her head. "I'll just get right to the point: I came here to request a government position and help out in the capital. I'd also be willing to change my occupation from Ranger to Mage...."
She stopped for an answer.
