not all shadows are cast by light...
"what makes you "the" expert in swords?" Gabriel asked with a smile, dropping down behind him. "there's more people who can weild a sword on this ship." he laughed "hello, I'm Gabriel, believe we haven't met yet." he said and he stuck out his hand.
...some are cast by darkness.

Abbie turned to face the group. She didn't say anything because she had already met the first mate on the docks. Abbie smiled in silent acknowledgement when their eyes met, but the conversation continued. Abbie liked to watch her new family. It made her happy.

Zel came down from the rigging deciding to meet some of the new addtions to the crew. She looked around for one of the afore mentioned people.

Lexi noticed there was another crew member that she hadn't seen before. She didn't break away from the side of the ship though. Since she was to busy getting used to being at sea. Lexi already knew that wasn't going to take long for her to do. Besides there is going to be plenty of time for her to meet everyone.

Zel smiled as she spotted one of the new arrivals. Coming up to her from the side rather than from behind as a gesture of courtesy and to show harmlessness she stopped a few feet away from Lexi. "Hello You're new aren't you?" she asks.
