Ninjara Fisshu *nods* understandable... reflex and reaction is pretty important... at least it's really encouraged in our system. the black belt tests each have a spontaneous section, both empty handed and with weapons. funnest part of the test really. biggrin sounds like a lot more fun than my tests were. all we did was our form (kata or whatever you call it), break boards and do half-a** sparring matches stare i would have loved to move like Jet Li and Jackie Chan. what style you take? Five animal Kenpo (kinda an offshoot from American/Ed Parker Kenpo). and our tests are long. i think one test took the record of 12 hours (thank god i didn't have to be in that one sweatdrop ). but yeah, i've taken about 5 black belt tests overall. they really test your endurance. sweatdrop

SereitySerenus Fisshu Prince Apollo Fisshu SereitySerenus Fisshu SereitySerenus *returns after a long sabaticle* Hey there! biggrin *does a double take* whoa! long time no see. how ya been? I'v been good, grounded for something I didn't do and than busy with school starting up and stuff around the house. *nods* yeah, same here... well, minus the grounding. can't very easily get grounded when i don't live with my parents. sweatdrop stare must be nice. it is... except for that whole paying rent thing... and the bay area is really expensive, so i have to work 2-3 jobs just to pay my half of the rent ($1075 for a 2br 1 ba... sucks sad ) ouch whee now when you say "bay area" I'm guessing San Fran, right? that general area. I'm actually about 45 minutes southeast of San Fran, in Sunnyvale (right next to San Jose if you know where that is).
