Explain to me, please, in great detail, what supernatural power, or mental disorder, Shinji has that allows him to feel no fear or worry whatsoever over the fact that he's at the mercy of a rather pissed off man several times more powerful than him, who has just proven that he can take him down in the blink of an eye with little to no effort.

There are a small number of things that make an RPC one dimensional, boring, cliche, or just plain stupid. Having no fear, without a good reason behind it, is at the top of that list. Now, that might not apply at higher ranks. If Segare did the same to Luo it'd be nothing. If Shinji somehow did it to Segare Segare would be laughing his head off. But you're not at that level. You're an academy student. Not even that yet. You're a civilian, no more powerful or skilled than anyone else except in whatever areas your profession and type benefits give you a small boost to. And even then you're only at genin level in those areas, which is still pathetically weak.

So for Shinji to have no fear at all in a situation like this is either bad writing, a failure to connect to the emotional state of your RPC in a given situation, or something incredibly unique about the RPC's mind that cripples their ability to feel what, in this situation, is a life preserving instinct.

just a heads up my leave date just jumpped from september 21 to march 17!!! my activity level will be low up until then and then after that point i will be gone for about a good 6 -7 months

Think you can edit your post a bit? I'm just having a hard time believing your character of all people could so quickly become comfortable enough with his own situation to just laugh at someone else facing what he could have ended up with himself, and also immediately walk up to Segare, again, of all people, and casually start chatting away. Logically, he'd be looking at Shinji and realizing that had pretty nearly been himself, though he didn't do nearly as much to deserve it.

Assuming of course, that he doesn't have some sort of mental problems.

I have what appears to be a three day storm moving in, and already starting here. Not sure if I'll have a power loss during that time, but I do know our woodpile is empty and my family has gone AWOL, so I'm gonna have to go fill it. I may not be on a lot today, and I can't guarantee anything until the snow ends. On Sunday.

The storm mostly ended the first day, got a mostly clear day the second, and now a sprinkling today. Not as bad as expected, but still a lot of snow.

I've told him to quote you a few times actually, and I think people have mentioned it to you a couple times, but you may not have seen the mention.

We actually got a bit of rain the first night, on top of the snow. Made plowing fun. I had to cut a massive chunk out of the driveway just to get enough grip to start where I actually wanted to plow. And even then I could only push like ten, fifteen feet before bogging down if I didn't get a good running start.
