Tsume tried to take Leo to his room, but he shook his head, "No. i want to be down here with everyone else. i-i've been away for so long." Tsume nodded and sat him on the softest couch they had, laying him lengthwise across it. "thank you." he smiled and looked at Anna and Justin, "You can come see if you want." he lowered an arm so they could have a better angle of Yuki,

Ambrose looked at the house and tried to fight back tears. last she'd seen of it, the entire tree had been ablaze and now, here it was as if nothing happened. even the marks measuring Leo's height and age were there, Nix' alongside. "i'm going to put her to bed," she whispered before disappearing upstairs, taking that time to pull herself together. she even pinched herself to make sure it wasn't a dream, but it was real. everything was real and it was almost too much to believe. despite everything, the gods really were good to them.

Oliver had grown used to the house and quickly got Megan a glass of water. "if it's any consolation, you're the same age as your sisters. if you are old, then so are they."

Lewis leaned against the far wall, not wanting to intrude, because, frankly, if he got closer he'd kidnap one of the babies and refuse to give it back until he'd held him for a good long time. it had been nine years since he had baby time. NINE YEARS! he'd forgotten how much he loved and missed it.

Hasta and Pasa returned, each baring an urn from the Bovinian Priestesses. the urns were blessed so the contents would always remain cold and always be fresh. if there was need for more milk, they would return one urn and use the second, switching them out. they had also been given bottles to feed the babies with. Pasa set to making the bottle, knowing the babies had to be hungry while Hasta crept a tiny bit closer to look at little Yuki, not daring go near the protective Elliot just yet. "he's so small," he whispered, feeling the need to protect this tiny infant fill him. it was stronger than he'd ever felt before in his life.

Pasa brought the bottles forward, giving one to Leo and one to Elliot, pausing to see baby Rin. "So sweet," he smiled and felt a similar urge to his brother. maybe these twins were what had bound them to this family for so long.

Leo smiled and accepted the bottle, helping Yuki to latch on, though it took his a second to figure out how to drink. once he got it, he suckled happily. he looked up at Hasta and indicated he should come closer, "it's alright, you know. you can hold him if you want."

Lewis was about ready to burst. they were letting those two strangers hold the babies? and not him? he wanted to pace, but fought to hold still, glowering from his spot in the corner.

Hasta and Pasa looked at each other before nodding and taking the babies. the babies' eyes opened and the four twins locked eyes for a brief second, power flashing through them as the binding took place.

"We-" Hasta stared at Yuki in shock, "they just made us-but i can feel," he looked at Pasa and Rin, "how-"

Pasa chuckled, "twin familiars for twin princes. maybe because of the magic seeped into their bodies they are connected to each other as well. would explain why."

Tsume wasn't sure he believed what he'd just seen and was now hearing. "it seems to run in the family. babies making grown men their familiar with ease." he shook his head and smiled, "things are going to be interesting with those two growing up."

Oliver smiled at the princess, finally getting through a little. he turned and looked at the room, not sure what everyone was talking about, but it seemed important so he kept quiet.

Ambrose's lip trembled before she stood and walked into her husband's chest, pressing her face tight against him, "welcome home, my beloved Greg." she got up on tip-toes and kissed him, praying that the future would hold nothing but peace and happiness for her family.

Lewis huffed, "but what if they don't come back to Falia with us? i m ean, the food for the babies is here and all of Leo's family. how could we possibly expect them to come back with us? it's not fair! they can hold them all the time, but we might not be able to see them very often!"

Leo was surprised, but he'd had a feeling something like this would happen. he shook his head slightly and leaned back, "it seems the boys have quite the life ahead of them if they have such strong guardians from birth."

Hasta smiled and carefully sat on the ground beside Leo, still feeding the little Yuki, "i won't let anything happen to him. i swear upon my life, the boys are safe with me." he looked at Martha and smiled, "of course you can see."

Pasa nodded, "if course. twins serving twins, twice the bond. i wonder if there shall be any side effects beside use being able to sense both of them. our lives will be interesting from now on."

Oliver bowed to the boy he'd learned was named Justin, "of course, please do." he indicated the place where Martha had been sitting.

Lewis smiled a little, "and i couldn't hold him for a month...well, i did but she didn't know that. it was when you were sleeping, she caught me when he was a month old and decided it was ok. lucky me there, thought she was going to kill me." he shook his head, "but-Leo just got his family back. how can we ask him to leave?"

"Elliot!" Leo snapped, lifting an eyebrow, "behave. he's not going to hurt him." if this was how it was always going to be, Leo was going to have a little chat with his lover.

Pasa shook his head, "it's fine. here," he gave Rin back and gave Elliot the bottle. "you should sit down. he's small but he gets a bit heavy after a while."

Hasta chuckled, "That's a good thing. you want fat babies, means they are healthy." Yuki finished his bottle and Hasta lay him against his shoulder, burping the boy. "want to hold him with me? you can sit on my lap and i'll help you."

Oliver looked down, "i don't know," he whispered, having no idea. "i guess-i guess i'll just go where i am told. i'm just a slave." he smiled softly, "i'm used to not having much choice."

Lewis nodded, "the king and queen have been gone a while, think they are okay?" his attention was wandering, but he kept looking at the babies longingly. if he couldn't have any of his own he could at least enjoy Elliot's right? he hoped so.

Leo lifted his feet and let Elliot sit there, slowly sitting up to rest his head on his love's shoulder and watch Yuki eating. "he's taking his time. Yuki's already done." interesting, for how feisty Rin seemed, for him to take his time and enjoy his food was interesting. but they had just been born, you couldn't really tell anything yet.

Hasta smiled and carefully sat Martha in his lap before showing her how to hold little Yuki, supporting her arms with his own. everything felt right, peaceful, and that was something he'd never felt before in his life. he marveled at that, but it was something he was enjoying too much to question. "make sure to support his head, he's too small to hold it up just yet."

Oliver looked at Justin out of the corner of his eye, but didn't see any marks that could possible be a sign of a slave. "a servant?" he asked hesitantly, afraid that he was guessing wrong and that 'helpers' were higher in status than mere servants and he'd insult the boy who was being kind enough to speak to him,

Lewis lifted an eyebrow, "hmmm, seduce the king and queen of falia on the night of their reunion? if i'm not infamous now, i will be come morning." he chuckled and shook his head, "no, i'll give them tonight. they need it. but tomorrow, i attack."

Leo giggled and caught Rin's attention, "oops, pay attention to what you are doing, little one." he wiped away the milk dribbling down Rin's chin with his sleeve and shook his head as Rin started eating again.

Hasta grinned, "of course not. all babies look like this at first, you and your sisters did too. everyone did. but that doesn't mean they are any less cute. they are newborns, though, they'll fill out soon enough." he looked at little Yuki and closed his eyes for a second, opening them again when he felt his brother's hand on his shoulder and nodding. things were looking up for them.

"read?" Oliver asked in amazement, staring at the brown haired boy as if he'd announced he was a king. he quickly dropped his eyes, so Justin was going to become more than just a servant. he could become a scholar, one learned and wise and here Oliver was talking to him as if they were equals. what was wrong with him? "you are lucky to be taught, sir." he whispered softly, a tiny longing in his chest. if he could read maybe he could no longer be a slave and made a servant. even if he didn't read, since it was forbidden, but had the ability, he could have a bit of a better life. at least he'd be more useful.

Lewis looked at Al in horror, "i'm sorry. i didn't mean to ignore-" he stopped and stared at Al as he lifted baby Yuki into his arms. everything else disappeared in his mind as he moved in closer and smiled down, his cheek against Al's shoulder, "hello sweetheart." the little boy had three moles on his face, tiny little dots that actually made him all the cuter, "he'll be quite the charmer. let me tell you."

Leo felt his heart fall a little, "i'm sorry," he said softly, looking down at the baby, tears in his eyes though he didn't know why he was crying. "i'm sorry they don't look more like you, my love."

Hasta watched over Martha as she carefully carried the baby, ready to be there in an instant in case she slipped the smallest bit. but she did remarkably well and he relaxed a little.

Oliver froze. him? learn? impossible, he couldn't-no. surely it wasn't allowed. Justin had said so himself! servants weren't allowed to read, why would s lowly slave be? it had just occurred to him that there had been a question at the end and he shook himself a little. "O-Oliver. my name is Oliver," he managed to mumble, still thrown by the thought that someone was offering him a chance to learn to read. "I-I do not wish to get you in trouble, sir. i cannot possibly learn to read. it's not right." he was just a slave, slaves weren't allowed to read. "i'm sorry, sir."
